RAF Typhoon fighter jets gopro cockpit view. Amazing low level flight through the Mach Loop Wales & Lake District low-level tactical training areas. Backseat view from wingman aircraft as these fast jets fly at 500mph and only 250ft above the ground.
The Mach Loop is a series of valleys in Wales, UK, were aircraft can fly as low as 250ft above the terrain. There are various photo viewpoints along the valleys, which I have indicated in the video.

Finally I've found one without annoying intrusive pointless music playing
Thank you so much
09:00 30 years ago I watched two Tornado GR4’s flying the opposite route, coming low over Crummock Water and Buttermere, hugging the hillside and shooting the gap between Red Pike and High Stile at head height where I was stood. That was a good day!
The skill of military pilots never ceases to amaze!
I keep watching this video, I am addicted to it. The Royal Airforce without any doubt has the best fighter pilots in the world. Thank goodness there are talented, razor-sharp people who can successfully pass the training and become top fighter pilots. We all owe them a massive debt of gratitude.
Couldn't agree more!
Homemade Lasagna with Garlic bread for dinner yesterday ! ! !
Absolutely beautiful scenery. If it was war, those Typhoons would 50-100 ft off the deck.
THAT is magnificent!! I can barely imagine what that must feel like from INSIDE the aircraft!! Totally amazing! I need another ten cameras placed around the aircraft to see it from all perspectives!! Thank you SO much for this. I am in awe of it. Superb!! And to answer those comments about the "noise" of the aircraft. People who "know" realize that that sound is not "noise' but the sound of FREEDOM. When YOUR military are making those sounds, YOU can enjoy YOUR freedom. Thanks to the people making that sound!!
All I can say is just badass, period... Proud to have served and proud to watch these amazing military pilots. Well done, well done...
What a ride simply breath taking so let's go round again.!
Stunning, hopefully I will soon accomplish my dream and be in the cockpit of a RAF jet mysel. :)
Best of luck!
Absolutely gorgeous! What a view.
Fantastic! Thanks so much for this excellent ride. The only way we will ever get to experience that trip. What a beautiful day it was too.
Life can be so beautiful. Many thanks for showing.
Absolutely fantastic flying...
When flown by skilled pilots it's amazing how 500 mph looks so slow. What a ride!
All depends how close to the ground you are. 500 mph in an airliner at 35,000 feet is mind numbingly boring.
@@mitseraffej5812 Isn't the Mach Loop flown in the valleys. Looks pretty low to me.
Brilliant, thank you!
Thanks for sharing! I was driving arround Lake District when the Typhoon flyght over me! I am impressing util now! Thank you for give us this wonderfoul footage and a this links full of informations about the flights!
Best military pilots in the world the British RAF 🇬🇧🏴
No one better than the brishh thanks it was gfe
coolest show ever...thanks.
Thanks for that Craig, that was immense! I'm gutted the flight didn't gown down Ullswater though, I was convinced you were going to. I holds a lot of fond mmnories but this was amazing all the same.
Superb look from the cockpit, I've been to the Loop a few times over the last few years and I'm planning on going again soon, it would be great to see the Phoons back in the Loop again.
Please speak to the powers that be and add this wonderful place back to your daily training ground 👍🤞👏👏
Lovely footage and useful tags added at the various view points ✈️
Absolutely stunning!! Thank you very much for this. Union Missouri USA.
Hey, nicely filmed and put together. The telex sounds work well to bring the eye down to the location info. Really useful to have the Mach Loop viewpoints pointed out. What a great day for a flight as well. Thanks for the close ups of the lead plane over the Lake District. BobUK.
All the best to the Men and women of the Royal Air Force. We trust in you. Thanks for the Ride. Amazing..
This video is rad!
Nice! Thanks for the ride along....:-)
Glad you enjoyed it
Just going out for a spin with the lads to Wales🙌🏻EPIC!!
Great Vid. First cockpit view of the Mach Loop I've seen. Thanks.
Thanks. I just posted a new fast jet vid up today if you want to check it out ua-cam.com/video/PFykd1GTXPI/v-deo.html
Just amazing 🤩
They say the f-16 offers pilots a clear view. . .but this view for the pilot loos incredible.
as low as they are flying, I expected to see some of those white rocks with legs (sheep). thank you to the pilot and those for this flight. Loved it. Thank you.
Or, as my pilot brother calls them, "woolly maggots".
Awesome video 📹, thanks for sharing. ✈
so well attached the cam !!! wow
Really enjoyable video of the Typhoons at work ,Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved this fantastic views
Brilliant footage and annotation, cheers 🍻
glad you like it
Sitting here watching this and saying to myself, “Talk to me Goose.”
Thanks a lot sir!
Cockpit View of a fighter jet is amazing. I like very much this machines. They are the better sample of tecnology today.
I would like see them on Mach Loop. i will go in my next life.
Regards from Madrid
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
So envious! I've had some amazing low level views of Tornados in Dorset over the years but none of Typhoons. I patiently wait.
There's a couple of times then that I twitched... the speed is incredible. Lovely stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it
Beats back to back video calls all day :)
Oddly done the MACH loop and even lake track but in a Fat albert and Woca woca as a passenger!!! Great to see it from a CAS view.... Keep up the fantastic work and enjoy the air whilst you can....
5:06 - Out for a nice peaceful relaxing sail...
A legend pilot
Nice targets.
What a ride, you guys must love your job? Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic video 👌🏻👌🏻
Glorious!
Amazing video! Thanks for doing that!
Glad you enjoyed it! Check out my other aviation videos!
My goodness me i have throughly enjoyed watching your plane spotting photo shoot very much indeed they are absolutely stunning i wish i was there taking part in this fantastic plane spotting photo shoot myself
Thanks for INFORMATION .
Nice video thank's !
Smoooth landing!👍🏻
That is amazing,,use to live on Anglesey and miss my days watching aircraft at Valley,,
Like people Who love trains and dream to live near a railway? 🤔
Sure you'll be fed up of the jet noises after a week 😉
Especially if they train also during the night 😁🤪
Was back at Valley a couple weeks ago for Families day. The show was a shadow of what used to pass for "airshows" at valley in the 80s and early 90s sadly. I did get the old familiar thrill though, sitting in the sand-dunes by the old dump/fire pit, watching approaching dots in the sky toward the mountains and wondering what they'll turn out to be.
Shame really, if Valley put on another airshow it would be a HUGE success, but I doubt it would ever happen these days in our oversaturated H&S culture
Love your race track! - For as long as you can avoid hostile ordinance, that looks epic fun :)
It is amazing just how similar my Home State ( Vermont ,USA ) looks like Wales , United Kingdom ! In Vermont there are more trees but the verdant cropland ,wooded heights and the sky blue waterways in Wales ,UK are virtually identical to Vermont . I can understand why the People who Colonized the Northeastern U.S called the Region New England .
Vermont looks to me like a photographers paradise, especially when all the trees start changing colour
To save further embarrassment, Wales is not in England....both countries together with Scotland & N.Ireland make up the United Kingdom, or as we prefer to call it, Great Britain 😉
@@vinceyreay N Ireland isn’t in GB. Sorry.
@@wingcommanderdaltonwalton67 To be picky, Northen Ireland is part of United Kingdom
@@gufo_tave vince already stated that mate
Superb.
You have the greatest job ever
Great video!
I don't watch youtube vids in full screen, But this one was an exception. Awesome. Thanks so much!!!!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Brilliant thanks
Excellent!
Glad you liked it!
That made my nether regions stir!
Hope to fly again soon.
Brilliant.......................
So much RESPECT for these guys. Good video, had me leaning in my chair lol!
Best job in the world great aircraft the Tempest to replace it looks fantastic
Amazing!!!!
Remember being at a slate mine near the Lake District when two of these babies came up the valley beneath us! A sight I will never forget!
Ьллллллл.
Brilliant RAF.
Love the Typhoon. I've put together models of just about every American military jet and then also the Typhoon because it's one of my favorite jets. When I got MFS the first jet I purchased was the Typhoon.
What's the Typhoon like on MFS?
At the time it was the fastest jet for purchase. It also has a large air brake which other jets did not so way more maneuverable as well. Now there are many more military jets for sale but I do love the typhoon.
Thundering Typhoons!!
Great video
I nearly spilled my cornflakes following that steep banking, loved the ride great video. 👏👏👍❤️
You and me both! Just remember no cornflakes next time
@@craiglivingforward good point mate, so it’s a bacon sarnie then. 👍👍
You are supposed to finish your breakfast BEFORE you get into the cockpit !
@@hb1338 you made me chuckle with that, thanks mate.😂👍
Gorgeous scenery and I bet the Farmers down below are getting one hell of a show ! Imagine tending the land and seeing THOSE Planes !
then spending rest of day trying to herd up da beasties back to where they are supposed to be! ;)
These pilot s are in the business of defending our country, they are willing too risk there lives for all, rgds Colin.
This plane plus the iris t missile is scary
When I grow up I want to deafen sheep...
RAF THE BEST IN THE WORLD
Great viewing. Subbed.
Very cool video!!!
Thanks!
Amazing. Although I wonder if all those residents love it as much as we do? You either have to be a massive aviation fan or stone deaf, I'd think.
As someone who lives on a training base for the F-15E’s, you get used to it quickly.
After a few starts and landings you are just stnne deaf.
@@isaiahgallardo583
They end up stone deaf.
I have been on and around air force bases over 20 years. I find the more intelligent residents realize that that is NOT "noise"!! THAT, my good man, is the sound of FREEDOM!! And it sounds wonderful!!
Fantastic
Triple A Star👍🏴
It brings back fond memories of my trips there in the Tornado of No.II(AC) Squadron from RAF Marham.
Tornado will always be one of my favourite aircraft. Thanks for watching. Feel free to tell us more!
Ex wafoo RN good work lads nice smooth sofa ride respect
Great pilots
Not great but the worlds best the British RAF
Best back seat trip ever. Then Tornado F3, then Hawk.
great video, i so pleased there is no music
Had to watch this with the Mighty Wings instrumental playing in the background!!
Awesome. U2's Vertigo is another one
Watch the mountains!
“Watch the birdie..” “This is a great shot, I should be a photographer”
How often do you see the shadow of a jet aircraft on the ground?....AWESOME SKILLS!!
Nice.
Just imagine this quick little flight through the mach loop is going to require at least 20 hours of maintenance before that plane can fly again.
Warfare is dizzyingly complex/ expensive
Well, twenty MAN-hours, so if you have a pit crew of 4-5 guys, you're done in an afternoon.
Great view,
Lower pilot...lol.
Awsome flight, thanks for taking me alongfriend = ).
To bad we cant what the pilots are saying.
They say "turn left, turn left, watch that mountain..."
Awesome.. I have just bought Oculus 2 VR & I’m fairly sure there’s a VR video similar to this to try.. What a ride! 😎
Let me know!
@@craiglivingforward 👍
And to think someone gets PAID to do this, I should have done better at school.
It's all fun and games until you have to go into combat being shot at from the ground, from enemy war planes or being locked on by a missle homing in on your six o'clock.
Then the salary makes a lot more sense.
@@jfv65 - It’s still fun and games when you’re in a Typhoon!
How good is your eyesight, because if it's not good no matter what your qualifications you're out?
Typhoons are awesome 😎👍
Thank god am thick
The loop is from Brigands Inn, to Dinas Maddwy up over the Bulch (pass) quick sprint to Cross Foxes ( Pub/Hotel), then. hard left, follow the road through The Cad Valley, and exit left before the lake, following the Corris road, which takes you over Machynlleth. Follow the valley to Brigands and repeat or go somewere else. hence the Mach Loop.
Bwlch oops
Beautiful footage. In a way I feel sorry for the people living below the flight path. I live a few miles from an F35 training base and have groups of up to six F35"s go over my house several times a day many days a week and they are LOUD, VERY LOUD. No complaints though. Been here around 25 years and it was F16's up to a number of years back when the F16's were fazed out to be replaced with the F35's. The F16 was loud but the F35 is much louder. Beautiful profile to look at in the sky however. Enjoy looking at them.. Keep up the good work. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks Larry. Interesting, the F16 is one of my favourite aircraft, the f35 just seems much too futuristic but then I'm old school.
Am in awe how quite it is inside the plane
I to was dumb at school however I fly these at weekends while drinking Budweiser.. on my flight sim .
Picture the scene...I was out on Coniston lake on my own in a small rowing boat fishing. It was a truly beautiful day, it was so calm...only the peaceful sound of the occasional duck in the distance...then I heard a faint whistling sound somewhere behind me...was it getting louder...where was it coming from...what was it...then suddenly such an enormous sound came over my head from behind and I really really nearly fell/jumped into the lake...it was Biggles..thank god.
I know someone's going to say they couldn't have been too low because they are limited to certain heights...Bollocks!
I laughed my head off with adrenalin
I've had Typhoons fly over the house, made the foundations shake! Glad you never went for a swim!
