Thanks for all the videos, Julie.
That's some great stuff there, Dan and Forrest.
Very nice! I love to see other people train, since it gives me ideas for what I could do when I'm out training. And the good thing is, since the spots isn't the same, I have to adapt the moves to myself and my city.
Thanks for the inspiration!
An excellent introduction to Parkour outdoors. Great ideas for beginners and to those who overlook the basics too.
Zeno
i started 2 years ago, made some friends and lost some (not dead they just dont do it any more) but i love every day i have to forge my body into a parkour tool :)
Very inspirational stuff, great!
You know I was gonna pick up Parkour this weekend and try it out(simple stuff for begining) with my friends. I hope it'll be fun as heck
dude that sounds freaking sick!
well i get more out of it with focus as much as building strength and improving movement rather than doing things on the spur of the moment. i think this video shows exactly what parkour is about
That is a really good way to look at it.
your videos are awsome
keep up the good work :)
I like it!One year ago i started to learn it.It's hard, but if you want do it,you do it!!!!!
this is actually a good sport. no stuff, only your muscle, the city and your spirit.
good example for a regular training. thank you :)
yeah, do you come to germany? it'd be great!
nice stuff, i love the video!
Thanks for the video.
There is are academies in London and Paris.Soon there will be many more as ew coaches and instructors are being trained to run professional and safe classes.
What would I give to have a teacher for practicing parkour ;P
Great job guys, love Parkour!
Really cool :)
jump with as much distance as you can, and put your hands out until they touch the object, then let your momentum carry you forward whilst pushing up with your hands, arms and shoulders.
youll get used to that..i do some parkour myself and it never gets old i love it..i jus wish they would have a parkour trainning like this nation wide
wow, you guys are on it, this only went up minutes ago! :)
thats a good thing
ur getting stronger
keep it up
^^this is fun
i would like to learn the hole parkour thing and beable to start a parkour class here in Texas. because we don't have any kind of parkour stuff here in the states or atleast not much of it at least.
amazing the information I picked up just watching this video. Incredible level of conditioning though.
in our little town there are hardly any places to do parkour but i try
i don 't have somebody to teach me but it would be cool
you know...i'm teaching myself with vids, but what i actually wanted to say is that this vid is very good to learn some exercises :)
keep making vids like that guys ;)
***** NICE
@TheDillbry Well, i have started recently also a few months or so ago and we practised on mats thena springy flour and both hurt but after a couple of days it stated to go away i would suggest doing it on something firm like a moderatly pated carpet or a thin mat so you get use it it faster i practiced on grass it felt like i ripped my back open each time but a few days after it was a normal pain i guess hope it help :)
So if I wanted to start parkour and I went to a club, would you advise that I build my body strength first or let the training do that? Thankssssss
hmmmm. Alright thanks guys. Man I'd love to do Parkour. It looks so awesome, yet it teaches you so much. Discipline.
LOL
"look at my username
you think im a fucking transformer??"
Can't stop laughing, sometimes the simpler things are the funniest.
I started today, with the basics like landing and rolling, and evry muscle hurts, as my body gets used to it, it won't hurt that much right?
@InMythxGodIsForce
His name is Francois Mahop. No doubt, super cool.
Love the addition of training with bags on
i wish i could start this but my downtown is horrible for it...only 50+story skyscrapers positioned 4 lane streets apart
It is always better to have somebody "teach" you Parkour. Nearly everybody was either taught at the beginning, or at least trained with a group of people who knew what they were doing.
come to colorado in the us!!!!!!!!!
Dude :P I just started 3 days ago.. and i feel the same as you 1 month ago :)
@Hikarekuno for height practice jumping off and on stairs, slowly increase as you feel for comfortable jump two stairs then three, then four .... do it against and with gravity and do squats and other leg exercises
I think you can do some raining in every normal gym. Usuala there is enough stuff to build you some obstacles...
Wel a gd way 2 do a kong is. Run and jump like u r tryin 2 jump the bar but use ur arms 2 push u tht little bit further but make sure tht ur legs go threw the middle of ur arms and not 2 the side like a normal vault
i think there is something in what he says. think about it. you might want to see some moves or explanations on the internet, but you develop your own style and use your own abilities to find your way to move if you train alone. Especialy if there is no one to teach you. I suck at parkour but the things i can do right are the things i teach myself. all the things i learned from some freerunners i such at. (there are no other traceurs where i come from)
@addicted2myipod
hows the parkour going?
still doing it?
doing is the best way to learn but watching videos gives you alot of ideas
en n'as pas besoin des profs pour parcour jusque comme t as dit
:)
@InMythxGodIsForce
Well its has to be on of these names
Forrest
Dan Edwardes
Vinnie Varsani
Dom willoughby
Neill Brown
Dhiren Dhabasia
depends on where you live XD
i live in a medium large city in northern sweden, and we have some really nice guys, that act as teachers...
and i go regularly to the trainings, 2 times a week
so i suppose you could find something similar where you live. :) Good luck!
Umm they talk about training indoors - how and where do you do that? u mean theres special parkour gyms or sumthing? cuz i never saw a gym or any other indoors place where you could do parkour, exept on the staircases:P
any1 know?
in my area to but i find some placeses
question. Is Parkour legal in America? I would love to do it. I find it very interesting.
what do you do when there's no one around to help you? I mean it is ideal to have someone to teach you, like master and apprentice, but sometimes, in life, you have to start alone and this has been done in all areas of activity
Anybody know of training like this in Canada? (more specifically Ontario). I know about the Monkey Vault, but can't make it there, because T.O. isn't the nicest city ever.
I'm sorry... but I love your vids.
Man i wish i could do this shit but wat do i start doin?? How old do u av 2 be 2 do it??? And wers the academy based???
@DragonnSlayerr its not about that. its about trying to get from one place to another but yea you gota have some balls to do it to.
Gyms with mats, boxes, and stuff like that.
man i live right behind lamar highschool.
His name is Francois Mahop aka Forrest
I can find places okay, but I can't get training. I want training to help me out. I need help learning vaults and climbing techniques.
ITs maybe a stupid question, but can i go to parkour like i go to football? Maybe its stupid question, but im new xD Please answer me
@InMythxGodIsForce Im pretty sure its sebastian Foucan
that is only if your tresspassing or on rooftops though, you can do parkour anywhere you want, just dont become an obstruction for the general public and dont tresspass, but, if you want to tresspass, stick to smexTTS's rules :D
I WANT A TEACHER TOO MAN!
vive le parkour
@InMythxGodIsForce he is french that is sure... and from paris... his accent ^^
this is the type of sport that it doesnt seem like theres that much to it other than just having the balls to try.
I prefer Concrete to a gym like i mean,Parkour is a sortof "urban disipline" and so i feel it should be preformed in a city enviorment a gym gives to much of a cushioned feeling which can cause problems with the fear factor on harder stunts In an urban envoriment or a forest.
or wherever
you are live in NEW JERSEY...
but i'm living in Poland in city named Strzyzów... and belive me in Strzyzów Parkour is on minimal lvl...
@InMythxGodIsForce His name is Francois "Forrest" Mahop
i practise alone and usually get odd looks even police asking if im ok, but when you're in a group no one bothers with you lol
not bad for first outdoor parkour :)
yeah center city is the best and you never no you can find people out there doing it too.
#hint#hint#
not bad for first outdoor parkour. :)
i never did it inside LOOOL
just follow you're heart:D watch these videos then try it you're self but DO NOT TRY ANYTHING BIG AT FIRST;) take care
there are gyms you can go to actually, one example is if you go to google and look up:
The Monkey Vault
This is Toronto's parkour training center! Not sure where you live, but I'm sure you can find one in your area! just gotta look hard enough! O.O
@Arnoldas155 me too :)
my team runs classes in kirkcaldy, fife. in the evans business center & at the end of every month there is a free outdoor class if you are interested i can give you more details.
Damn at 3:28 that stuff is hell for your legs. It gives amazingly strong legs though...
"READ THIS IT REALLY WORK"!!
1st - put ur hands on ur chest

4th- the catch is to write this for 5 vids" ""
@HellDawgY2K I wouldnt say it is safe because you can A: fall from a large height and damage yourself.
B: do something wrong and damage yourself.
C: be arrested for trespassing on buildings and houses.

Thumbs up for the Nike air :P
Go to : pktoDOTca you will find all the info on the wesite.
yea and when you start alone, you'll be the one teaching others right?that's how you get to the top...i really want to start but i'm afraid of going out and trying it out..not afraid of the imjuries risk but afraid wahat people would see me as...some crazy kid jumping around perhaps
i m training alone...
i wish i had a teacher :(
Cant afford a gym, Parks and Old Parts of citys are good training grounds, you might get some lol's from people but hey ur training ^^
hey it is true that ur feet can take you anywhere =]
i understood level, not liver
its legal you jsut ahve to do it when no ones looking or else they will make it illeagle. The cops dont know enough about it yet.
