I was torn between either the 13 pro Max, and S22 Ultra and the S22 Plus. I went withThe s22 plus because of the feel in the hand, that BEAUTIFUL screen and that beautiful design. I was using a note 20 ultra that suffered a fall and got cracked (hence why I was looking for a new phone) and honestly I couldn't notice that great of difference between the two displays. The only thing is like you said I wish they had this design in a bigger form factor like the 22 Ultra and had more storage, but I also had to admit to myself that I truly don't need 1tb of storage (even though I love the idea of it and actually really want it), but a 512gb would have been nice. But seeing as I don't take any large videos and stuff like that 256 should be fine. :) Overall I'm really happy with the choice I made. A wonderful video as always :)
Awesome phone and congrats. I bought both the s22 ultra and s22 plus and people sleep on the the s22 plus. I thought I'd miss the ultra and i dont. The design language of the s22 plusis just so sleek and clean and a flat display. I too hope next year that they can make a 512gb version with maybe 12gb ram and wqhd. But this phone is so nice. 🔥

Was thinking about returning the s22 plus and getting the iphone pro. I'll lose my 800 trade in credit(350 credit towards iPhone) but I think it'll be worth it.
The iPhone is MUCH bigger/heavier. It gives a better battery life even if it is not anymore an issue on those kind of phones. Samsung gives you reverse wireless charging (very useful to charge your Watch while travelling), always-on-display, no huge notch, finger print reader which is arguably better in these days of mask wearing and still have face unlock if you want (and you are not tracked by NSA),... And the OS has plenty of perks: side bar, split window, T9 dialing, customizable launcher and control panel... There is so much on the Samsung that iPhone does not have, for almost 500€ less today, that it is disingenuous to try to make the iPhone a kind of indisputable winner because battery life is better (and the CPU),

Both devices are beautiful in a lot of ways.💯💫 I love the S22 plus because I'm into galaxy phones, especially the "Note". However, the iPhone 13 pro max didn't go unnoticed it's such a beautiful device as far as I'm concerned.❤💯
Samsung can be annoying with their decisions at times. The s22 could stay as it is but that s22+ should be spec packed! Should have everything the ultra does with the exception of the sown or the xtra zoom lense.
I agree! The plus and ultra galaxy models should have the same exact specs with the only difference being the screen size in order to cater to customers who have smaller hands or just prefer smaller screens.
I might be wrong, but the rectangular design of the s22 ultra it's because of the s pen. I can't imagine how they would fit the s pen in a more rounded phone without wasting space inside.
Only thing I don’t like about apple software updates is they definitely slow the older phones down and make them glitchy . Also the photos for me some looked better on galaxy 22+ some looked better on iPhone 13 pro max. Can’t go wrong with either 1
I noticed that the glitches and hiccups are there on all android phones with android 12 so i think it's just your usual app devplopers being lazy to optimise apps for android 12
My Samsung a52s 5g crashed since I updated to Android 12. Even had to replace the motherboard. Honestly I am not even surprised knowing the bad optimization of Android.
Samsung. I think it's funny how everything is tight, but Apple overshadowed the 22 plus in every way in your opinion. To be honest, I don't like where neither of phone cameras are placed. The phones have a slight pivot on flat surfaces. RIP to the S9 plus; but I still have mine. I enjoyed the S22 plus camera feature that allows it to take wide shots which you didn't explore with. Android is a better resource all around. I'm no narcissist in any form, so I really don't care about the cameras. But the S22 plus is great at taking pictures while the car is in motion at 80 mph. That's a pretty great feature and experience. There's a lot of things that you can do with android. More than what I can speak on. Limitless options are what we (or I 🙄) are looking for. But like captain america said to iron man in civil war "if we sign, we surrender our right to choose". And I don't want limits on my phone usage or customization.
people be complaining about samsungs throttling when iphone 13promax throttles aswell after 5 to 10mins of gaming then dims the screen to prevent overheating😂😂😂 we all knew who made the issue big
I went with the iphone 13 vs the s22. Androids in the past have really let me down with updates. and once they get bugs they tend to stay that way for weeks. with my iphone they are consistently getting updates. they just work.
@@valentinomc 5g as of right now is very overrated. It’s very very hit or miss depending on where you are and doesn’t play well with buildings or homes.
I wish apple and Samsung would have a baby lol. I love iPhones camera video recording and battery life. But I love galaxy’s software and features like split screen and launchers. I am currently using an iPhone 13 but also own a S21FE5G that every couple months I switch my sim to.
I have been an iPhone user for ages but purchased the s22 ultra recently. I love the phone but the battery just seems to be dying on me so quickly, despite the fact that my settings are all programmed to preserve battery life. Maybe I’m just used to iPhone’s long battery life but I’ve been losing about 10-15% battery every hour, if not more. I’m only getting 4 hours of on screen time before the phone dies on me. Not playing games or anything intensive. Only texting, calling, basic usage. Unsure what the reason is but I’m concerned with the battery life of the s22 ultra. Am I the only one experiencing this? Otherwise, I really like the phone.
After you use it for a while the battery will last longer i have one also and said the same thing as i only buy note phones but my battery has got better with use it easly go a day and a half with heavy use

@SouthCentral_Kid ngl samsung prices change so often for example z flip 3 it was 1000 euro like a year ago or less and now it's 700 euro for a brand new one
@@eccologg it's called brand value. When you try to sell your device after using it. The price will be different compared to when you bought it. The less the difference in price, more is the brand value. For example when a buy a phone for 1k and sell it 6 months later for 900 dollars, that company brand value will be better than the company who will sell it at 700 dollars. But that also depends in the condition of the device. Apple has always been the best for retaining its original value.
I like the s22 plus design and flat screen better than the s22 ultra design and curved screen. Its a pity the s22 plus isn't slightly bigger as i would instantly buy it. I think premium phone companies should make their premium models with large flat screens and bigger body, at least 6.7
I think this is a great comparison. I've been wondering if you were going to do a comparison video with the S22 plus and the iphone 13 pro max. They are definitely similar in design. I don't think samsing should put an s pen in a curved phone however I do think that the s22 plus should have Ultra specs. The only think I wish the S22 had vs the iPhone is display.
I don't understand what reviewers call sharpness for QHD as compared to FHD. People should stop making this myth about screen tech on a smart phone. A smartphone is very small to show any difference between QHD and FHD. You guys just like big specs even if they don't make any difference.
After using Samsung Galaxy S22+ for more than two months, I am sad to report that I regret buying it. Knowing what I know now I would have bought an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max instead of Samsung Galaxy S22+. After using the phone for more than two months and also reading other online reviews, I can conclude that the main problem with Galaxy S22+ is its Exynos 2200 chip which equips the variant sold in Europe. The problems which I saw: - My Bluetooth headphones didn't work with this phone. i had to buy a new pair. - When I browse the internet during Whatsapp calls. I get breaks in the audio. This happens all the time. - The battery life is poor. A one day trip to somewhere will run the battery flat. I was able to use my previous phones in the same way and my phones had still battery by the end of a one day trip. - Samsung's bloatware. Ever since I bought this phone, I have been busy turning off all kind of services from Samsung which I don't need and I don't want. - Each time there is a software update, the user interface becomes slower and the animations in the user interface present glitches which I hadn't noticed before the update.
After all it has an exynos chip. Not even regular samsung users love the exynos versions of Samsungs , If possible u should've went for the snap dragon variant
@@Chocowafers my experience has been great the phone is very smooth the apps are well optimized,I do miss some features from Samsung like customization and shortcuts but you'll get over it eventually.
Less restrictions and no notch, also lightweight all wins for the Samsung! On the other side 🔋 life and performance in general are better on the iPhone!
I am surprised by your experience with Samsung updates. I have had the N20 Ultra since release and I've been getting security updates monthly like clockwork. Still, I guess you'd never hear of any Apple product in any region with slow updates...
I got to go with the samsung s22+ because it hooks up to my windows laptop and I can text from it and access my phone's photos and files. So it is going to be the samsung for me. I already have a s10 and I love android. Would love to give iphone a try but it's too restrictive. Lile why cannot apple allow the iphone to allow the phone to sync to a windows laptop. They want to trap a customer to their ecosystem and make them buy all their products. That's what I hate about apple. They don't play nice. I text more from my laptop than I do with my phone so samsung it is for me !
One of the things that annoyed me the MOST was that i had an S21 last year and updates took very long to reach the US. I don’t understand why, but it got so annoying, one of the reasons I’m never going back
Currently with S10+(my 1st time having a flagship), with charging issues with the connection from the cable to the phone. I don't know yet what to choose. I still love my phone design better than those two. But sometimes I have my phone lagging. Getting hot to a point that the other day my mobile data wasn't working. Battery life is getting worst. I might try the iPhone this time depending on the deals.
There are no so an important reason to choose one over the other. Apple can be better second hand prices but if you are a phone lover a really a phone lover you won’t care the price if you want to try Samsung over Iphone for couple of years. Both phones are nice try , fill your inside with what is missing in you.
if you on the android side get the S22 Plus with Samsung Galaxy Active 4 while the iOS user will getting the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Apple Watch series 7 or the upcoming series 8.
The only thing I don't like about Samsung is you need a Samsung account, a Google acct, and Samsung cloud went obsolete and had use the Microsoft cloud so I need a Microsoft account. Three accounts one phone. I could switch to Google cloud but I'm not a big fan of Google having all the control (even though they'll get it away ways). Thats the biggest reasons I want to go back to apple. I know they do the same thing too but not on the same scale as google
I got s 22 ultra since feb and just now i got s 22 plus bc ultra it was so heavy so after having ultra i could not ignore the plus so I have both of them 🙂
Which do you prefer? I had the iPhone 13 pro max but was super bored with it so I ordered the s22 ultra but after a week I hated the curved screen and it was just too big and uncomfortable. Trying to decide if I should get the 22 plus or the 22
I had the option to get one or the other but went with the iPhone 13 pro max mainly because I wanted change being I was with android for years and upgraded from the s10 plus and I don’t regret getting the iPhone as the battery is a beast and better than the s22 pros battery. As for iOS it’s really smooth and imo better than android software by miles.
Personally I came out of android for about a year and half and very glad of it. Iphone 11 was my very first and gotten very used to it and also upgraded for the IPhone 13 pro plus very excellent software compare to Android.

Only thing I don’t like about apple software updates is they definitely slow the older phones down and make them glitchy . Also the photos for me some looked better on galaxy 22+ some looked better on iPhone 13 pro max. Can’t go wrong with either 1
In hand feel of the s22 is unbeatable rn
You can customize the speed of the Samsung animations and performance.
I noticed that the glitches and hiccups are there on all android phones with android 12 so i think it's just your usual app devplopers being lazy to optimise apps for android 12
Yes I have noticed this as well which is lame to see in 2022
Hiccups? This s22 Ultra is the smoothest phone ever put on the market in North America.
See what I mean! When the Samsung becomes an overheating hazard ppl will remember! Besides what about samsung cheating on the benchmark!
@@nickackermanchannel play store is always buggy on android
It's all about shutter speed when taking photos a that speed. The more light, the higher's the shutter speed. That's how you get rid of motion blur
people be complaining about samsungs throttling when iphone 13promax throttles aswell after 5 to 10mins of gaming then dims the screen to prevent overheating😂😂😂 we all knew who made the issue big
iPhones get over heated very quickly and start glitching
I truly appreciate and love your content Nick,Thanks so much, keep it up!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🙂!!.
I went with the iphone 13 vs the s22. Androids in the past have really let me down with updates. and once they get bugs they tend to stay that way for weeks. with my iphone they are consistently getting updates. they just work.
Are you seeing any deferent 5G between s22 and iPhone 13 or not really?
@@valentinomc 5g as of right now is very overrated. It’s very very hit or miss depending on where you are and doesn’t play well with buildings or homes.
@@cartm3n871 Ok but overall coverage are you selling any big deferent?
samsung should make s22 max 6.9inch flat screen with 5000mAh battery
of course both phones are awesome, the only decision you should take is either you like android or iOS
I'd actually buy iPhone 11 Pro Max if I wanted an iPhone. It does almost everything the latest and greatest iPhone does almost equally well.
Yeah I agree, but the only thing 11 line up lacks is the recent update where you can unlock with a mask. But optimization is like the 13 line up
Keep up the great work!
I wish apple and Samsung would have a baby lol. I love iPhones camera video recording and battery life. But I love galaxy’s software and features like split screen and launchers. I am currently using an iPhone 13 but also own a S21FE5G that every couple months I switch my sim to.
Me too
S21fe or iphone 13 which one is better
I am going with s22 plus :)
Disply and camera better in s22 +.most people wants this.
lol no the 13 pro max has the way better display
the only thing that the samsung’s display does better than the iphone’s is brightness
I went with the Google Pixel 6 Pro, right after I canceled my S22 Ultra preorder.
What made you change your mind? I preordered the s22 ultra, and went with the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
@@margaritaramos3393 8gb of ram for $1,300
My Pixel 6 Pro has 12. But, not just that. If you ever use a pixel 6. It's really hard to leave it. I had the Pixel 6. Then I pre-ordered the S22 Ultra. Canceled.. then got pixel 6 Pro and sold my Pixel 6. Pixel 6 Pro is the best phone I've ever had. BTW I had like every iPhone too. I'm always switching between the iPhones and the top Android phones.
You're iPhone 13 pro Max is insanely faster than that Galaxy S22 Ultra!

@@margaritaramos3393 no problem..

Always been a fan of the Samsung phones I recently just upgraded to the 22+ because I thought it was time for a change from my S10+..Had the options of these 2 phones and the S22 Ultra but felt the S22+ was for me never liked the look of iPhone....
Hi. I have s10+ right now as well and thinking if its worth to upgrade to s22+. Do you have any feedback please ?
@@leonorarozenbaha9011 Best thing I did not gonna lie the fact I got a cheaper deal from my previous one and better and more powerful phone was deffo the right call for me personally...Plus the phone in general is stylish and the battery life for me has been a breath of fresh air I dnt need to charge it every 2 or 3 hours ..
I feel like this guy is having a placebo effect of thinking iPhone is way better, maybe thats cuz he's biased or maybe he just thinks iPhone are better and that makes his mind think they're way better than they actually are??
He just said "App loads better on iPhone"
LMAO boi, this is hilarious
The personality of a lot of iphone users is really annoying...you can tell some buy them just to feel superior
It took apple a really long time to implement 120hz refresh rate, Samsung has had 120hz for the last 5 years.
Just bought Samsung Galaxy S22+ for my wife ❤️
Yes iphone 13 pro Max is a power house! The performance is just of the scale!
Yeah it is! It's so fast and smooth!
Plus the amazing battery life, it’s in a league of his own
I have Note 8 and going to buy 13 Pro.Canceled 22+ preorder. Never android again for 1000+ dollars
Samsnung and iPhone are just the best phones in the world 🙏🏻❤🔥
Please make video on Samsung s22 plus vs mi 11 ultra. Please reply I am your big fan.
I like the s22 plus design and flat screen better than the s22 ultra design and curved screen. Its a pity the s22 plus isn't slightly bigger as i would instantly buy it. I think premium phone companies should make their premium models with large flat screens and bigger body, at least 6.7
Thank youuuuuu!!! Keep it up
I think this is a great comparison.
Samsing, Samsung, samsong 🤣
S22+ !!
The problems which I saw:
- My Bluetooth headphones didn't work with this phone. i had to buy a new pair.
Last Night, I was a bouncing ball btw Apple store and Samsung store ... So confused that I end up not buying anything ...
S22+ - definitely better photos and natural colors
Which has better camera ... That is the only thing matter to me ...
S22 ultra owner and this thing is a beast.everything bout the phone is prime time!
in this comparison, some S22+ photos are way better, and other pretty similar, idk why u say 13 Pro Max has a better camera, doesnt looks like
Same thing I said . You can tell this guy really loves iPhones
Chose the 13 pro max despite been a long time Samsung user due to many undelivered promises by Samsung to it's customers.
How's your experience so far? I am a long time samsung user too thinking about switching to apple
@@Chocowafers my experience has been great the phone is very smooth the apps are well optimized,I do miss some features from Samsung like customization and shortcuts but you'll get over it eventually.
The weight difference comes from the iPhone stainless steel frame vs. The S22 Plus's Aluminum frame.
Nick Ackerman i have iPhone 11 Pro Max… would you recommend to change it for s22 plus?
Less restrictions and no notch, also lightweight all wins for the Samsung! On the other side 🔋 life and performance in general are better on the iPhone!
I have the Samsung galaxy S22+ and regret not picking up the iPhone 13 pro max battery life for the iPhone 13 pro max is much better
I am surprised by your experience with Samsung updates. I have had the N20 Ultra since release and I've been getting security updates monthly like clockwork.
Still, I guess you'd never hear of any Apple product in any region with slow updates...
Same here every month.. s20+
Sir you are right I think it's clear apple is king when it comes to software updates all at once globally nothing beats that...
please do a video on iphone 13 vs S22 plus cuz in india they both are same price and the s22 is way cheaper
They are similar, get the S22 if it's cheaper
One of the things that annoyed me the MOST was that i had an S21 last year and updates took very long to reach the US. I don’t understand why, but it got so annoying, one of the reasons I’m never going back
S22 is getting updates twice a month one from carrier one from samsung
Man I just love these comparisons.
These are probably the only companies who don't force down ads in every part of the phone
Same here. I have s10 right now. I really torn apart right now, between s22+ and 13 pro. Both of them are amazing phones.
Which one did you guys end up getting?
my choice iPhone iPhone iPhone always iPhone ❤️
Nothing wrong with that, if that is your preference
My guy spammed iphone 4 times💀
Yeah the iphone longevity is insane🔥🔥🔥
@@Izzy-go6vq I don't know which iPhone is he on or he is from the future where Apple instead of giving a number just uses the name more times
@@Riyozsu I am using 13 pro
There are no so an important reason to choose one over the other. Apple can be better second hand prices but if you are a phone lover a really a phone lover you won’t care the price if you want to try Samsung over Iphone for couple of years. Both phones are nice try , fill your inside with what is missing in you.
Finally change to iPhone 13 pro max after long using of Samsung s6 plus edge followed by s8 plus.
if you on the android side get the S22 Plus with Samsung Galaxy Active 4 while the iOS user will getting the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Apple Watch series 7 or the upcoming series 8.
Trying to decide if I should get the 22 plus or the 22
There must be something wrong with your updates for the Samsung. I get updates every month on my S20+ and my security patch date is May 1st....
Super video and informative
If you play a 10-100hz audio test, the S22 plus outputs no sound/bass whereas the iPhone does
I love my iPhone 13 Promax.. fantastic phone!! ❤❤❤
Why you mention that s22 have large battery when iPhone have better battery life
Because the iPhones battery will become worse quicker since smaller batteries tend to degrade allot faster
The transition on the camera app in samsung is so laggy and glitches alot 😕 They must fix that. When you look at iphone, it's so smooth 👌
Yeah camera app is not very fluid sadly :(
Dex is a Nice Feature, Luv my Samsung Galaxy s22 Plus 💪
13 pro max easily without any doubt
I had the option to get one or the other but went with the iPhone 13 pro max mainly because I wanted change being I was with android for years and upgraded from the s10 plus and I don’t regret getting the iPhone as the battery is a beast and better than the s22 pros battery. As for iOS it’s really smooth and imo better than android software by miles.
Do u miss the customization?
Personally I came out of android for about a year and half and very glad of it. Iphone 11 was my very first and gotten very used to it and also upgraded for the IPhone 13 pro plus very excellent software compare to Android.
