Just read his book and the parallels of our lives were spooky , normal working class upbringing in hard places to live and shape who you are . I love the fact that Brian never lost his Geordie accent unlike many who made it big and started speaking posh . What a man !

I really liked Geordie in the 70s. Their song "Mercenary Man" is still fantastic. When my hero Bon Scott died I could not imagine that anyone could replace him authentically. But Brian Johnson really could fill these big shoes. He was probably the only person on this planet who could perform that well with AC/DC.
I had no idea Geordie made it out to Australia! I see a hard working band with some big dreams punching out great riffs two whole oceans away from home. This must have been one heck of a surreal experience. To Brian or whoever is loading these up, I'm chuffed we get to see all of this.

All the early 70's bands did apprenticeship in clubs and pubs and through playing Rock n Roll covers knew what record buying kids wanted... it carried on into Rock, Glam, Punk and beyond... a far cry from music recorded and produced in 2021 ❤️

Bon got the idea for angus on his shoulders from Brian and Geordie. I read that years ago, maybe in a hit parader magazine or guitar player. Either way Brian did it first but Bon got the credit due to being better known.🎶

@@Sportingalagrieska his voice had gone by 1996 it just sounded forced from there on in....he sounds better on latter albums because of studio help & technology but in the real world after the 1990/1991 razors edge tour his voice lost 75% of its power & range at the least....all metal & rock singer's scream they all do it but smoking makes a massive difference aswell particularly in latter years
@@fireball8767 maybe. Still a very commited singer, he could compensate his voice's loss of power with his attitude and charisma. I saw ACDC live twice, in the 90s and early 2000s, and was very pleased with the overall delivery of the shows, something that I can't say about other grand rock bands.

I read in an interview that at that point Brian Johnson was about to give up music and follow a different carreer. Sounds funny, but ACDC was his last chance for becoming a pro musician.
It's in Brian's new book. He was in Geordie II then, part time, day job was car windshield(screen) business. He told them he got the offer and had to at least try it. He later compensated them for the booked gigs they had to cancel.
Rock and Roll is dying folks.......well most would say already dead with the new generations. My kids call this "boomer" music. Least I can say I went to some freaking AWESOME concerts back in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Had one HECK of a time listening to all the greats. These kids have no idea what they are missing and missed out on.

Bon copied Brian. Brian was doing that in his early days before Vince started it. Brian talks about it in his book.
