@@TheCrabCoreKingthis isn't standard bro. It's half a step down. He is 75 after all. I think give him some time to prepare and he will be better. Like batman. Just needs prep time.
What amazes me is that Brian's singing voice in AC/DC is the polar opposite of his singing voice when he was in Geordie. If I listened to a Geordie song I would never have guessed it was Brian singing. Hats off to you Brian, you are a legend.
I feel privileged to have wotnessed this live, what a shock to see brain johnson come in stage with the lads, unbelievable performance from all, it was f****** EPIC!
So at 54 years old absolutely love Sam and his band but totally lost it when Brian appeared my poor son was ready for getting the paramedics 🤣 it was insane the whole gig I will never forget and big shout out to Sam's guitar teacher
For me that's an incredible sight. A friend of mines dad went to school with Brian and he wrote a lovely handwritten letter about his Dad. A proper legend
I'm so angry couldn't get tickets for Newcastle went to Belfast in the pissing rain. Absolutely amazing getting Brian to play with you. Absolute class!!!
In all fairness to Jonna these guest singing is the killer..he's not in the zone for live stuff nor is he warmed up..with ACDC and on a schedule and regular routine he is much better. But the poor guy is 75 or so..God love this man ,what a fucking legend..🍺🍺🤘
@@chrisp.162 it's not bro. Play a guitar in standard against this version. Then tune it a half step down. I did it myself. I take it you're not a musician, let alone play a guitar. You can tell it's half a step just by listening 😂.
Give Brian some slack, way better than Bon and he's still belting it out in his 70's. Can't wait for the dvd stream whatever of this gig. Long may music from geordieland reign.
When Brian Johnson said "dream come true." He wasnt lying. Newcastle counsel knocked it on the head when he tried to play with Geordie in the 70s. And he tried for years to get St James Park to have AC/DC at the ground. So for him to finally make it to St James Park after half a century of trying is some story for him.
It'd be extremely hard to sing anything from AC/DC, let alone in your mid 70s. Most of this is probably age related, and I think it's still pretty decent given how hard it is to sing Back In Black, and also Brian's age
@@tksk197033 Exactly lol...What's even more amazing is he has a low robust speaking voice! Not like Jon Anderson from Yes who has quite a high speaking voice, so his high notes are natural for him.
I'm a bit nervous about that. They were still amazing and energetic on their last tour in 2016. Will Angus and Brian be able to have that energy now? Angus is getting close to 70.
By the way, back in black has always been a serious challenge for Brian since mid 90x and today he definitely cannot sign it properly (come on, the man is 75, what do you expect?), but it is clear that he started without warming up his throat, otherwise it would be better. The second one sounds much better, and the longer he sings the better it gets. So it was not quite fair from Sam to bring the old dude on stage without warm up)
I definitely agree. A few exercises and I think he should be good for some more shows. But hearing people complain about him not sounding like he did in the 80s always baffles me. Like you said, a lot of songs off the back in black album were a challenge since even the early 90s. But he’s definitely continued sounding great and distinctive
@@lucasbrown4186 Yes, and again - under-volumed mic. That is really terrible, even if his voice is definitely aging, cracking and not like before, it is at least not that quiet as we heard!
I mean the band could have helped him out by playing in the key AC/DC play nowadays. AC/DC tunes down a half step these days. These were in the same key the songs were on the record.
Respect to Brian for never holding off hard parts and leaving them to the audience and always giving it his all
I think we can all see his hard parts unfortunately.
In acdc its half step down tuning live. This is in standart. He cant do it anymor in standart

Brians voice has taken some damage through the years but he squizzed this out like an absolute warrior
Did awesome! I believe he is in his mid 70s and he has hearing loss. Still rockin!!!
It's going to be interesting to hear there set at the power trip festival in October. Dudes 75 years old , he was struggling through this imo.
Brian only has to be there ! Fkin legend , respect to Brian & Sam . See, you're still packing the canoe, Brian !😂
So good to see Brian on stage, it’s obvious he still absolutely loves doing this! In his element!
Brian has really got some BALLS to do this
You noticed 😂
omg ahahaha everybody seen it
I thought it was a spare microphone 😂
I think he was armed there. 😂
Sam had the bollocks more like lad

AC/DC would still blow the roof off a place
They will play their first show in 8 years this October.
im going to that show! very eager and excited!@@Alexander-kz4sg
It's amazing that he's on pitch singing that high with that intensity at that age. Music will always be young kidzz
Shows that no matter how 'kids' you are the kids still love 42 yr old dad rock classics (almost as much as the band like playing them)
scarily 43 years since Black in Black was released in July 1980!
One of the true best " Rock" bands left around class ...
Total respect to Brian

great to see Brian singing again he rocked it Sam good band
Let's go Brian, the world needs you to Rock !

Great recording skills Julie🤘👌👏
Now you know why all bands live play their songs a semitone lower ;-) Well done Brian!!
Great to see Phil get some recognition.
Oh for sure, phil is the man and you notice it more when you hear other drummers try to replicate it
Great stuff...and all live too, unlike so many others!!!
Absolutely class!!! 😬🤘🏼
Brian ,One of God's greats
I did not expect him to have this much power at all 😮
I think he's ready for one last world tour! (I really want it to happen!)
Him and his old guitar teacher doing solos 🎸🎸🎸
