I must be missing something... why did the side cowl need to be removed in order to remove the antenna? Was it just to show how the antenna could be hidden under the plastic part? I'm like you, never use AM/FM, and am okay with it not being functional. Thanks!
came nice, it's not for me but you did a good job. this is nothing to do with Jeep. but I got ask can you talk about why blacking out your left Arm I love tattoos a got a few but I would love to know why you blacked out your arm.
So why did we take the cowl off? What did you do to secure the antenna wire. Just letting it rattle around? It’s easy to grab the antenna wire from inside attach an extension and mount your antenna elsewhere. You may not have any want for radio but it’s handy if you travel, especially in an emergency. There’s always a station with emergency backup used for civil defense. Judging by the flags though… I assume the announcements would be how to avoid you and your friends.
Looks good. Will be doing so on my jl

Yes just to show a general idea of another way to store the antenna should someone want to stick it inside the panel.
@@ExfilOffRoad that makes total sense. I just wanted to make sure that I hadn't missed some essential step! Thanks!
I never thought about removing the antenna all together. We put a stubby on, but it’s completely useless.
#yourwelcome 🙂

What's the purpose of removing the cowl?
There isn’t one, unless you want to see where your sticking the cable, or want to place the antenna horizontal under the lateral vent.

Please read previous comments, also no it doesn’t rattle around at all.
