My childhood friend was a super fan of Star Wars, particularly the prequels (having just premiered in theaters with us, then-elementary school kids, being the clear target demographic /cough). Whether it was a game, toy, costume, or decoration, if it was Star Wars-themed, he had it. It nearly reached hoarder status by the end of elementary school. We'd play his video games every time I visited, and roughly half of whatever Star Wars or off-brand duplicate games we played together I felt pretty neutral towards. If it didn't have Ewan McGregor, my schoolgirl-celebrity crush, it didn't do much for me, but I always wanted to see my best friend happy, and he seemed happiest when we played any SW game together. We were still lively and goofy while playing anything, too, so he made it fun regardless. And then, suddenly... He showed me Star Wars Battlefront II and Lego Star Wars. Waiting until I could go to his house to play them couldn't satisfy my cravings for more Ewan McGregor, especially the best and most expressive pantomime ever given by a silent Lego version of him. I went through hell and high water to earn enough to purchase those two games for the PS2 my family shared because I craved 24/7 access. Seeing the two-player game footage here brought back so many funny and silly moments of my friend and me playing the game together. c:
I really relate to the constant bickering over the screen pulling. I remember having a FIT over my friend constantly killing me because he wouldn’t let me get my bearings and would keep trying to move on while I was collecting coins and stuff 💀💀
"The Mona Lisa... Michelangelos David... Lego Star Wars... the dancing fox football robot named Cletus... These things are all unrelated" I appreciate the info Eddie 😂
IM SO GLAD YOU MENTIONED LEGO CITY, i used to spend HOURS in there and it is such a core part of my childhood that no one else seems to ever remember! it's iconic. to me.
For us it was in Return of the Jedi where you had to kill the emperor. We were too stupid to realise that once electrocuted you had to switch characters and hit him that way💀💀💀But yeah Hoth was incredibly frustrating especially when losing the explosive.
this is one of the first video games I remember playing as a kid. My brother somehow convinced my mom to buy it, and we played for hours. One of the most significant bonding moments I had with my brother who’s 11 years older than me. Special game even if it’s just for the nostalgia.
what a nostalgia trip, I haven't thought about this game in years. I've got to go play this again! The hardest hit for me was the mention of Lego city, this game was already hidden away in my memory, but that was a little fireproof safe in the floor of my memory. So, thanks for that.
This channel is absolutely smashing it out the park right now. I love the combination of sibling bickering and genuinely slick scriptwriting and editing. This video feels like you have the template nailed and have found your groove. Keep it up
This video is really well put together. Really makes me feel nostalgic, now I want to go back and play the game again. Great work guys, loving the videos on this channel.
One of my favorite parts of the game was actually the charm of the cameras. When my brother was close to an edge or something I'd always try to knock him off and he'd do the same to me. We had a great time with that.
The clone wars game is so slept on. The character creator is awesome you can make your lightsaber any color. And the game has like an entire RTS game mode in it that’s super fun and addictive. You should definitely play it.
My brother and I JUST finished replaying star wars the complete saga together on the Wii. It's such a classic, I love it so much and we had an awesome time doing it

Im visiting him in two weeks and hoping to bring the playstation 2 with me so that we can replay this together while im there. thanks for reminding me of the good memories and keep making videos like this! im enjoying it so much!
this video was so much fun, just like the game. i didn't play it a ton as a kid but spent hours watching my brother play, which is a testament to how genuinely fun the game was. for many people i know, lego star wars is their favorite piece of star wars media!
I've been replaying this with my little brother for the past few months! Been playing it together since it came out. We always restart from 0% and try and get to 100% (sorta, its not a commitment its just a direction we pretend to care a lot about while mostly goofing around). We got the closest this time! over 90%! It was during this playthrough that we finally got curious what the blue minikits were lmao
my brother and I fought SO hard over dragging each other away from where we wanted to be in the early games. thanks for this lovely slice of nostalgia!
that “art style” intro quip at 7:26 was so good and caught me well off guard and had me laughing. For the first video of yours i’ve seen this is amazing and i’ll be watching more for sure, congratulations on earning a new subscriber, great content guys.
I would love for these two to have a podcast together so we can see more of their chemistry as brothers and hear more stories that they shared from the past
I just wanna say that I played this game with my brother when we were kids and you guys talking about this game brings me back hard core to those days. Part of me just misses my brother as we now live across the country from one another, but also just how simple and easy our relationship is and how games like these brought us together. So many hours put into bond games, lego star wars, and a million other shitty ports to the gamecube that we played; I miss it. Keep it up, this is one of my new favorite channels. you guys are awesome!
One time when I was 7 (way back in 07, yeah that's right I'm a 2000 kid give me money) I accidentally killed my sister in the first level of IV and my sister pushed me by the head off my bed and I fell head first into my toy bin and had a big harry potter esque cut on my forehead. This game destroyed sibling relationships but also gave them something to talk about 15 years later.
Their banter brings back childhood memories of sharing one computer with two brothers and playing coop games on one keyboard. Arrow keys gang represent.
6:27 "they definetely will" - you guys haven't played any of the recent lego games it seems 😄 they've gotten rid of the merging splitscreen quite some games ago, which I found kind of sad. The screen now is split into two most of the time without any option to merge it. Maybe they thought the twisting splitscreen line was making people sick or something, my brother and I found it really neat.
First game I saw it in was Lego Harry Potter, which I thought it was perfect for, cause I thought it was supposed to be magic when I was a kid. Also holy crap that game came out 12 years ago now
It seems the new game will be entirely over-the-shoulder camera instead of using the fixed perspective, so the merging screen wouldn’t make much sense. I read an interview somewhere that Tt originally went with the semi-fixed view so that kids new to gaming didn’t need to worry about camera controls. Nowadays, the popularity of games like Fortnite and Minecraft among young kids has made the devs realize they don’t need to simplify the game as much. (Plus they can assume a base level of familiarity with camera controls). Hopefully this leads to even better level design!
Just discovered this and realized I’ve been waiting months for new Eddy content like a fool, when this gem of a channel has been right here. You and your brother have such good chemistry, which is to be expected of course
So happy to see you two cover this! There's a lot of people who think the LEGO games are crappy licensed schlock, but they were incredibly fun and unique. As annoying as it can be for some, I wish they made the new ones without dialogue and an emphasis on slapstick like the older ones.
ahhhhhhh sweet childhood memories of getting stuck really early into the game, not knowing how to get out of the area i was stuck in, and giving up. those were the good ol days
I played it as a kid so much with my friends. A few months ago my 4yo nephew asked if I would play it with him and I was thrilled! It still holds up, and it's such a nostalgic experience and it was so fun to see him experience all of it for the first time. We also got pretty good at not dragging eachother off ledges

Fun fact, when I was about 7, my brother deleted my saved data on the complete saga for the gamecube(I had almost 100% completion) and I got in trouble for punching him because of it, so when I got sent in my room, I threw a fit like a child does and accidentally broke my window, which resulted in stupid little 7 year old me trying to put the window back together, resulting in a massive cut in my hand that required stitches. So long story short, this game made me have to get stitches
my brother and i used to play this on our shared gameboy. we have a 10 year age gap so this was one of the things we bonded over. now i play it on steam whenever i have free time. it's such a good game to play if you want to relax and have a fun time.

my brother and i used to play this on our shared gameboy. we have a 10 year age gap so this was one of the things we bonded over. now i play it on steam whenever i have free time. it's such a good game to play if you want to relax and have a fun time.
The Complete Saga will always be my favorite lego game, so many cherished memories.
The memories this video unlocked are wild. My sister and I had the most fun with the character creation and ESPECIALLY Lego City
This game was my childhood. Straight up one of the most important development of my humor. Still play to this day. Thank you Lego Star Wars : The complete Saga
