“Today, I’m going to talk to you about my flipping mirrors” 😂 I flipped mine on my standard bars when I first got my bike but all I could see were my armpits! I changed my mirrors on the apes and although they do stick up still, I need to see Mad over my shoulders so it’s form over fashion for me at the moment. If it was just me I’d probably just put a clip on mirror on one side lower down. They look much better flipped for sure providing you can see in them. 👍
Man .. that ape is amazing .. i will install the same for my Indian Chief Dark Horse '22 .. And yes , mirros down are best looking for that bike 👍✊ Congrat's bro' and ride safe ✌✊
I think any way that you like them is the best way to have them. About to do the same thing to my bike not sure I'll like it used to them being on top. We should get together and see how they look come on over to Oklahoma.
Great vid, I just fitted 14"old school bars on my 2005 Softail, mirrors flipped underneath give it a clean look. Much better riding position with the apes. Just have to get used to looking in your mirrors under your arms. Ride safe.
They look great down. In your opinion which one has the better visibility up or down? Question for you how are your rear brakes? I've seen other videos on the Street Bob 114, 2022 and two people said the rear brakes were not that good. .
so whats your thoughts after riding? i had mine under for 2 days and just couldnt see as much as i wanted. re-mounted my blinkers to the forks so flipping them was super easy. still on the fence.
Took me a while to get the angle right but now that i have it's pretty good. See enough when I need to. A good balance between function and looks. That being said, in the future I want to look to getting just a single bar mounted mirror and place it lower down, or a low profile mirror and place it above the bar. But happy enough for now.
Not really. I've had three now and every one of them has lost a button. The drag is that the seat is super comfortable but has this really poor design feature. I'm saving my pennies to hopefully have the seat re-upholstered without the buttons in the not too distant future.
@@MisterKiwiRider that sucks brother, cause that seat looks great on your bike and would look great on mine, if you get the re-upholstered done, post a vid
I think the flipped mirrors just give you a better look of the under side I’d your forearms and elbows. Further glancing distance equating to longer time away from the direction of travel. Am I wrong?
These actually worked out really well. I got the long arm H-D mirrors and visibility was excellent when flipped. I now have low profile Arlen Ness mirrors on the top of the bars 👍
That's the same chubbys I have on my bike and I love em, now on my SuckerPunch I only have the one 4" Flip down on the left stem,it just makes for a better look all around brother, mirrors down for the old school look man 💯, ride safe guys 👍🏼
Nice brother, I love these bars. High and wide arm position and good control of the bike :D I had pondered whether I should remove one mirror and I may yet do that :D
Oh wow, I guess they aren't all created equal. I know indicator and lighting regulations can differ around the world. Maybe that can affect the placement and engineering?
No , I'm sorry , I know alot of people love the lower but in my opinion having to look down takes a split second away from your peferil vision that could determine between seeing a problem or having a problem .
No need to apologise, I appreciate the point of view 👊😎 Interestingly the mirrors are in pretty much the same place as they were when they were on the top of my previous bars. My head is in the same position when riding so the movement to view the mirror is pretty much the same as it was 👍
That garage days poster is sick i need that, mirrors down looks koo
That white towel over the tank got me thinking white street bobs probably look sick haha

They are working just fine for now although I do see my elbows a bit. I think I'll see what is available in clip on bar mirrors at some point
My forty eight came with flipped mirrors, wasnt sure for a start but they are so much better both in looks and visibility now that i'm used to them.
Nice. I think I'm definitely going to like this
Very nice when flipped

We hope to make it State-side one day in the not too distant future!
I flipped mine. I love the look, plus I can still see behind me. Just takes a little getting used to.
It didn't take me long :D

Nice. Love the old school apes
Definitely mirrors down, great addition to the bike.
Looks better down as long as you like it that is all that matters 👍
Mirrors down looks awesome! Good Choice!
Did you need to buy another indicator for the right side? I believe my left side only comes with one. 🤔
Good call, it's definitely thumbs up for mirrors down
😎👍👍
Beautiful Bike! Thanks for the video btw,Cheers.
I may have missed the comment regarding why you changed back to apes. Any specific reason you ditched the Hollywood bars?
I was looking to create a more upright riding position. Along with the forward controls this configuration has been more comfortable for me
Those bars are DOPE!
Thanks! I'm full of joy for these bars. The ride is great
The bars and the mirrors look great down if you can see. Be safe
Cheers brother, yes I can see with them down as they are the HD mirrors with the longer arms (rather than the stock ones).

Looks awesome with them down for sure
Cheers Rob :D
Those mirrors look better up!
Looks great mate! Definitely down! Oh, and the bars...definitely a YES!
Haha, nice 😎👌
The mirrors down is the right way. Try a short extension to get them just a little farther down and out and they will be just right.
Mirrors down for sure, looks way better.. Cheers my fellow kiwi🍻
Thanks Stu! :D
Notice the stems. He has the "long stems". HD also has a short stem version.
Correct, yes, I'm not sure this would be quite as practical with the short stemmed (stock) ones
Definitely looks cleaner. I like the bars too. Definitely mirrors down.
Awesome, thanks for your feedback :D
Looks good and mirrors down
Looks great! I have flipped mirrors on my bars. It will take a few rides but you will get used to it. Be safe!
It took very little time at all to get used to the flipped mirrors. Very glad that I did it

@@MisterKiwiRider right on. I love the look. I'm just so used to the amount of vision I get from above. 🤘🍻
@@StevieTV253 I get that. It is very different
Down. Gives it a meaner look. Bless. Goose.
Hi where did your bars put on and fitted
Hi there, I had them fitted at our local H-D workshop
did you ever resolve the issue with one of the buttons coming off your HD bevel seat?
Not really. I've had three now and every one of them has lost a button. The drag is that the seat is super comfortable but has this really poor design feature. I'm saving my pennies to hopefully have the seat re-upholstered without the buttons in the not too distant future.

Looks really great Mr. KR! Nice. DOWNTOWN! :)
Hey Mr Half-Evil, thank you sir ;D
Looks awesome matey👍
Down looks good :)
Hi Jan! Thank you for the feedback 😀👌
What about the front bag is there a vlog on it? ;-)
Haha, there can be 😆 It's a Harley one that you should likely be able to find on their website 👍
Mirrors down for sure in this case, looks 👌
Agreed 👌

@@MisterKiwiRider yes sir, that's why I bought the Chubbys perfect feel and look for me as well 👍🏼💯
Mirrors down, THat is what I did on my Street Glide and they give me better visibility looking under my arms rather than thru my shoulder...
Looks good. I’ve been looking at the fxbb. The mirror down is the look I would be going for
After two years I can say without hesitation that the FXBB is a great bike 😎👌
Down! Love the look
Agreed brother :D
first second of them being flipped "oo idk on this bike suprisingly" 5th second "oh yeah nvm theres no going back"
Couldn’t flip the mirrors on my 18 fxbb. It did not come with brackets on the right hand side. It has a nut w/ indicator hardware integrated into it.
Oh wow, I guess they aren't all created equal. I know indicator and lighting regulations can differ around the world. Maybe that can affect the placement and engineering?
Mirrors down looks heaps better but at the end of the day it’s your bike you do what you like you have to ride it not us
Cheers Podge :D
What Podge said. I like mine flipped. Ride safe!
Looks fantastic. I am going to do the same to my Iron 1200 with the mini apes. Cheers mate!
Best of luck!
@@MisterKiwiRider Done! Looks great 😁👍
Damn. Hope this works on 2016 streetbob. Cheers Mr Kiwi Rider. Definitely mirrors down
I've found that if the bars are too short then your arms get in the way too much for flipped mirrors. Tried it on the old bars but no dice
Wow
I love the mirror flipped but couldn't find a good angle for the left mirror. Couldn't see shit smh
Much better with the mirrors down!
Down for sure

Good shit bro.
Do whatever the #@%$# makes ya happy ; )
Hahaha! Nice. I generally do ;D
Mirrors down fo sho!
My sentiments too brother :D
Think it looks great down. I have a hard time seeing threw my elbows.
The good thing about these mirrors are that I upgraded from the stock HD ones to the ones with longer arms so I have a view out past my arms :D
Mirrors down definitely.
down bro
Nice brother. That seems to be the general consensus :D
Think my mirrors just aren't meant t I b flipped smh
Down
