i ride sportsbikes at 6'6. yes it looks goofy but it's also what gives me the most enjoyment. i would suggest to not care about what others think and just go with whatever is most fun to you
My friends always tell me the bikes I sit on are always too small. I'm 6'4" and always tell them that I don't care. I ride what I like and can ride better than 95 percent of them. Ride what you like and don't let your height get in the way. They're just jealous coz we can flat foot any bike 😂 ride safe!
I'm 6'2" and after watching this video, I feel that I won't be to tall for this bike. My main concern was how close my knees would be to the handle bars. Thanks for putting this up. Carry that rock with you. Never know when you might need it 😅😅
Great video man, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I'm 6'5 (196cm) and I'm trying to decide between a new SV650 and the new MT07. I might be slightly more inclined into the SV but I've read the MT07 has a slightly higher seat, so I'm a bit in doubt right now what to do. Good to see someone of my same height riding it. Right now I'm coming from a 125cc which is a bit smaller than these bikes (Daelim Roadwin), so for me I think anything is going to be an upgrade, even though I'm not feeling unconfortable (just a few comments here and there at traffic lights about my height, hah).
Seat height isn't everything, I ride a 2004 R1 now which is something I thought I would be way too big for but it suits me well! I've never ridden or sat on a SV650 but I do know that older bikes normally are bigger and offer more room
Really was looking for this kind of video, super helpful. I'm 6'3 and very interested in this bike. Sometimes I feel a bit envious about smaller people how well they fit on these good looking bikes. For them it's a biker on a nice machine, for us it's a machine on a nice bike ;-P Do you feel swapping handlebars to something a bit wider (might help with mirrors too) and maybe less backsweep would make the bike feel a bit bigger/more comfortable, or is it really just the legs/feet that could benefit from just a bit more room?
Yeah, I also feel the same way sometimes, then I remember all the benefits of being this tall as well ;) There are plenty of things you could do like you mentioned but for me, it's not worth it as I can ride it just fine with little to no discomfort. My main issue is I cramp up in my hips
For all u talk riders out there: try ducati desert sled. The retro looks are gorgeous and its a multi purpose bike. I got one and I am 1 98. So comfortable!
Very informative video, helped me a ton to decide whether to buy this bike or not. I do have a question however, what is the brand of jacket that you are wearing? I really love the look of it! Thanks in advance :D
I was on holiday, sorry for the late reply. So glad I helped you get this bike! The jacket is Alpine Star Sektor V2. It's the best jacket I've owned so far
I’m 6’9 and wanted one for a first bike but it’s just slightly too small. My knees are in the sides of the tank where it flares out. MT-09 is better size wise but looking into MT-10 now which is a lot of bike for first bike but I think I can respect the power and handle it fine
MT-10 is alot of bike so yeah you gotta be careful on that thing for a first bike, instant power it will just throw you off if you're not careful but its all about the twist of the wrist! Youll be fine bro im chuffed for you!

I've not ridden many Hondas honestly, the only one I have ridden and own is a crf250 which I can't compare to the one you want, I'd love to make a video on one though!
do you have stock suspension? is it too soft/bouncy in corners for you? I'm also around 100kg, looking for mt09 cause I prefer 100+ horsepower but I wonder how will suspension be so I might save a bit more money and go for sp version...
Yeah it was sotck suspension and it was more than good enough for road use, it was soft but not to the point where I wanted to change it. It's a really good balance tbh as the roads in the UK can be pretty rough

Seems like you'd have to ride toes pointed down most of the time and I wasn't even in my boots. I want to buy an MT07 but feel I need to find a way to make that more comfortable before I commit.
No I never did anything about it as I just got used to it and it never really botherd me to begin with to be honest with you, I guess i can depend on what boots you're wearing as when I have my MX boots on they are massive and there is now way I could ride that MT-07
