A cool endgame for this character could be going to the college of winterhold to learn enchanting, to truly master crafting legendary weapons and armor
all this time i thought it was by value, since you can sell 1 glitchy potion and max out your speechcraft. then again, it's been a decade since i played vanilla Skyrim.
@@Hand_Of_Anubis Thought that Speechcraft was by value instead of transaction count. But there's probably a case with partial amounts where splitting makes sense. Like you'd get more XP selling 20x1 Apple (20 instances of bare minimum progress) over 20 Apples at once (1 instance of bare minimum progress). But you definitely get a lot more XP selling like some 1,000 septim item than a lot 3 septim items.
If you walk the perimeter of Whiterun's walls, you'll find quite a few ore veins. There are (at least) 2 iron, 1 corundum, 1 silver, 1 gold, and 1 quicksilver veins. There's also a clay deposit if you follow the stream from the stables to the bridge -- it's just a few feet before the bridge on the south bank.
This isn’t norm gameplay this is peak wooden surgery it’s the precursor to plastic surgery Adrianne was gettin tired of people decapitatin her so she got a harder neck😂😂
This is a great start, love the Orc outcast idea! One thing I'll say is maybe lower the amount of ore you get from a mining spot or put a limit on it, could make be interesting if youre travelling around to locate new sources of ore.
I don't know if Unofficial Patch fixes it, but if you buy/sell to Adrianne *before* going into Warmaidens, she has her own buy/sell inventory. Going into Warmaidens, however, fixes her inventory to match the one in Warmaidens. This matching undoes itself each time you start up Skyrim and start playing.
I heard if you sell to Adrianne you need to wait til she stops talking.. before entering Warmaidens or she warps in there like most NPCs do when they havent finished talking.. and then her inventory is the same as the shops.. If you wait for her to stop talking.. then walk inside, the inventorys are usually separate. Thats what i have found at least..
Amazing content Jacoby! Love to see more of this blacksmith! I think you should add a limiter when it comes to mining ores! Pretty broken geting 1000 ores from 1 spot! Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your comforting, cozy playthroughs, they always help me sleep at night. I love how you have transformed Skyrim into a comfy crafting sim / casual roleplay!
You could RP it where Adrianne is your primary buyer for your weapons so you're like her business partner so she buys cheaply from you and sells them on for a profit this idea would play into her not having to time or materials to keep making weapons for the legion
This is so lovely. Already rooting hard for Uruk the Blacksmith! Great character building, can't wait to see what comes next for this neat guy. :) Also really love the idea of him being a bit of a pacifist. Like, he's an artisan, not a fighter.
If you want to make money selling weapons, making daggers is usually a good way of doing it as they don't require much resources. If you add enchantments on top, you can make good money off of a simple dagger. You can also carry lots of daggers at once, so it's much more efficient. It might also be worth making jewellery and getting the transmute spell. I think for dwarven stuff the bow is the best to make.
Was actually inspired to do alternate start normal character playthroughs by your videos and have being doing a blacksmith recently but seeing this I had to start over using some of the mods from your list. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
I made a woodsman/hunter myself recently on legendary survival, Good times. I travel between mills killing bandits and such (what I can), get to a mill, work it all day and move to the next. I also chop wood and supply the inn with it for coin.
If you happen to make yourself some vegetable soup, the stam regen from that, will allow you to continue block attacking with an pickaxe, on minerals forever. Saves so much time! (Wish i got that much ore from mines..lol)
Just gotta say, I love ur videos dude. So entertaining and a really cool concept with the ”life as a …” and such. Such a comforting space to escape to when watching ur videos. Keep doing you 👊🏼
why is this so good, i'm not saying a full video comprised by every episode once this journey is done would be nice but i would watch it all in one sitting xD
Oh I love the episode. I wish spell crafting could be such entertaining and complex as smithing. For this reason my every mage is always a alteration mage who loves hard work on metals and ore. And enchanting. You know: a big-ass transumation-smithing-enchanting nerd :)
Do Not Fall, Jacoby. Whatever happens, I plead with you: Do Not Fall. We fans....of hobbies and books and tv shows have lost so much enjoyment over this past decade. I have lost track, and am grasping at something other to entertain my paying of rent and food bills. Please...keep this up. I beg of you to keep your imagination alive and thriving. I dont want to let Them win.
New fan of your channel. These skyrim videos reminds me of my teenage playthroughs. I had about 30 hours as just a blacksmith. Went around all the realms selling my wares. It was so much fun.
I really enjoy these simple life Skyrim adventures! Probably one of the more fun ways to play the game. No dragons, no draugr, just forge fire and iron :D
Just found these RP videos and they are absolute gems! Really enjoy the RP and storytelling elements. They make Skyrim a completely different game imo.
Please continue this series if you can, i love it! Only got 10 more days to watch yt and be online but if you do continue it after i will definitely try to check it on my Christmas leave or when i get back! Also gonna watch the ranger for sure, love the content keep up the amazing work
i always liked these roleplay challenge runs, and i have high hopes for this one, may your bodyguard be swift on her feet, and may she always carry your burdens.
The one thing these mods lack, is the fact that the NPC's still recognise us as dragonborn. What fun it would have been if they would recognise us as the character we are playing, like miner, woodcutter etc. That would be fantastic competing to be the best smith in Whiterun, or a wealthy woodcutter in Falkreath. The NPC's saying " look he/she is a legendary smith."😅
There is a gold ore vein outside the city, very close to the chest you found. All you had to do was turn around to see it. But it was dark, so, understandable. Also, court mages (like Farengar) will buy jewelry because...enchanting. I don't think they buy loose gems, but they will buy jewelry.
Do be careful with that cache, it's possible that the scavenger can come around and pick stuff out of it, depending on the mod you used to make it. I had a scavenger grab my stuff out of a barrel I had made using a mod that relied on the camping(campfire?) mod for it's placement system.
If you hit “Ctrl + Print Screen” on your keyboard, you speed up the game timing and it’ll make walking while over-encumbered faster. Also works with mods.
Did something similar made a bard playthrough were I could only cast positive illusions for a Follower like the courage spell basically turning my follower into the main character I could smith weapons but I can't attack enemies really fun playthrough having to approach the game in a whole new way love Skyrim great video dude.
I like the idea of this playthrough, and the mods seem to add some serious perks to being a Smithy. I'm wondering why you haven't used the Drunken Huntsman as a merchant for a little of your gear, but so many people forget he's open 24/7. Might be worth nipping to Riverwood in your next episode, as it's an extra two traders within hobbling distance (Lod and the siblings in the Trader). Keep up the good work.
It will put you back a little bit but you should get a horse, they move at normal speed even when you're over encumbered. Also there's a gold deposit by a river north west of whiterun. You can also sell to the Bow sellers directly across from the War Maiden, the Drunken head I think?.
I know this is beside the point but it bothers me so much when you don't level up right away 😭 I like seeing how much each action raises the progress bar on each level, it's satisfying. Plus picking perks. Anyway love your vids
When I saw the orc at the camp i somehow assumed he was asking the Khajiit something along the lines of ‘seen any orcs selling stolen orichalcum ingots lately? 😄
My advice if you want it: 1. Always improve your stuff before you sell it, it sells for more money 2. Jewelry is light and can sell for quite a bit especially if it’s enchanted 3. I personally would also go about enchanting. It makes your stuff really valuable and you can name the items for an added layer of RP (or silliness)
Yes! Get in! Waited for life as a blacksmith for ages. You need to make Urak proud of his Orcish heratage the other races view orc weaponry as inferior. I suggest given Urak's pride and how he is seen as slow and given menial tasks that he could do in his sleep.. That every damn orcish item he crafts and creates he should Strive to refine and hone (sharpens any orcish blades or improves armour) out of sheer annoyance that orcish equipment is seen as bad, he wants the land to take note of the greatness of orcish culture.
You should have used the gold ore deposit to the right of the gate to whiterun. It’s about where the under forge exit drops out of the perimeter wall is. Could have used those gems to make some jewelry

This causes the finished product to have a beautiful pattern in it like Damascus steel. It also improves the weapon's functionality.
See this is what I like to spend my time doing in skyrim, not fighting bandits and trolls and dragons, but living a simple life unfortunately that is quite difficult when I try it as well you don't need to sustain yourself and the game is obviously made to play a dungeon diving adventurer you earn so much from stuff in the base game and you don't pay taxes your wives and children do not need to be kept alive and must be paid for and the only time you get get a home is after doing something like killing bandits I hope TES VI has elements that would allow you to do things like that if you wanted to for true roleplaying
A cool endgame for this character could be going to the college of winterhold to learn enchanting, to truly master crafting legendary weapons and armor
Facts
to add to that learning about Conjuration and being the only smith in Tamriel who can create genuine Daedric weapons and armor
Except the only enchanter at the college is a huge asshole that refuses to do anything for you
It might not be that fun to watch though
There's no master of enchanting in the college
If Adrianne was actually a nice teacher she would've showed you how to morph through that support beam like she did
Those are skills only years of experience can teach my friend
A 46 min video of a blacksmith? Hell yeah
Grab snacks
yea i thought he as gonna be a dwarf lol
We’re simple men
HELL YEAH!
i need 5 hrs min
This is how us OG's stay interested in a game we've been playing for 12 years
...by having mining upped 10 times and sleep 12 hours:)
Faaaacts. With Campfire, Frostfall, and iNeed installed I basically get off work irl and just unwind by living in Skyrim for a few hours.
Leveling up tips
1. Improve the equipment before selling
2. Sell one by one (not stash) for faster improving speech (very useful and RP friendly)
I’ve played for 10 years and didn’t know you gain more speech by selling them 1 by one
@@GallicNine Think of it per transaction, so selling 20 items is one, but one by one is 20 transactions so it levels up easier.

9:57 not even acknowledging Adrianne fusing herself into the pole lol
Why would you acknowledge normal gameplay?
This isn’t norm gameplay this is peak wooden surgery it’s the precursor to plastic surgery Adrianne was gettin tired of people decapitatin her so she got a harder neck😂😂
We are new to the city and we shouldn't question their customs and traditions
Apart of the staff, apart of the smith
The stash location is so clever. When you access your riches it looks like you're just washing up or getting a drink
Singlehandedly causing a nationwide orichalcum surplus. Realistically that'd probably be apocalyptic for the economy
This is a great start, love the Orc outcast idea!
One thing I'll say is maybe lower the amount of ore you get from a mining spot or put a limit on it, could make be interesting if youre travelling around to locate new sources of ore.
I find these videos so relaxing. At the end of my day, just being able to listen to your soft narration about what you're RPing and eating dinner.
I’ve been having trouble sleeping the past few days, your lovely voice and Skyrim ambiance will certainly help

Adrienne has a separate inventory from her husband Ulfberth UNTIL she goes inside at 5 pm. So if you want to trade with both, do so before then.
You can sell to the guy at the Drunken Huntsman, Fralia in the market, Farengar up in the castle, the alchemist, and the barkeep at the Bannered Mare
You need a speechcraft perk to remove the limit on what you can sell to each merchant.
the moment of pure bliss when you're at home sick, and this masterpiece pops up.
