I m french and I really suffered the defeat but at the same time enjoy the quality of the all blacks. We got humiliated, hope this defeat will move the stand and make us see the reality. Rugby is each years more and more competitive, new nation emerge. Its not like the old time. Hope we will be well prepared for the next competition.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say the French team was “intimidated” by the haka, but this was probably the happiest moment of the game for them. After this, things went downhill pretty quickly.

Love Rugby and the All blacks are a powerhouse, but League is more physical. Every player that has played both, including SBW and Thorn recently, state league is much more physical, rugby more technical. Love both games and will be an epic Final Wallabies v NZ !

Piri really did lead it so well... also one of the others that springs to mind is Liam Messam especially because the ABs are playing the boks Saturday. Messam always leads it well against the Springboks ! Can't wait.
Back in the 80's, when the AB played Ireland in Dublin, as they were doing the Haka, the Ireland captain Willie Anderson (with whom I had the pleasure to play at Queen's University Belfast) led the team step by step towards the AB until they were toe to toe. Stirring stuff and great entertainment. if you go back further, some of the AB Haka performances seem antiquated, unrehearsed and timid. These days it is superb to watch.

And no matter what they look like they'll still do it cause it's culture. Yeah we lost in 2007, but we ended up winning the World Cup in 2011 by beating France in the Cup final.
I guess these haka singings with the rehearsals they have to do together, helps give them a team spirit, which the French team sadly doesn't have anymore.
