A filter tip! Kase filters make a 112mm magnetic filter kit (CPL and three NDs )originally purposed for the the Nikon Z14-28 plus they also have a night filter and UV sold separately! The 112mm magnetic receiver ring to screw on to your lens comes with the kit or every filter sold separately! I actually use the system on my old Canon EF300 2.8L where the receiver ring luckily can be forced into the rubber protection ring on the front of that lens!😎
The front filter is 112mm . If I want to use a Matte box instead of a screw in filter , what size would it use ?
How many does Canon expect to sell ???? ..
And why are Canon pricing the Hobby togs out of the market
The lens is in no way intended for hobbyists. It'll sell in massive amounts to news and sports agencies, where this focal range is immensely useful

Hi Colin, as mentioned by The Surviver the RF 100-300mm has been primarily designed with the professional market in mind, mainly for sports, news and wildlife subjects. Being an f2.8 throughout and being reasonably small and lightweight will be a massive appeal to many, but unfortunately that does means it comes at that professional level price point. It is a really impressive lens so if you ever get the chance to try one out I would fully recommend it.
Part of me would like Sony to make one... the other part would like to keep my kidney instead... still nice lens Canon!
It is certainly a lovely lens that Canon has produced and we're hoping to get hands on again shortly to test its image quality and performance. If Sony create a similar lens just remember we have finance options available or we can find a doctor for that kidney 😉

I think this claim it is sharper than the older ef lens is a bold claim and one I will test out on my other photo youtube channel. the claim is at odds with physics. I 3ould take this claim with a pinch of salt.
