This is my first video from this channel. This series is like a spiritual successor to "Joe Pera Talks with You", which I'm very fond of. Keep on making these! Your voice is very soothing, stories are engaging, and the jokes every now and then are top notch!
I have a similar vivid memory of a picture that would move at night, when I was very young. Except mine was of a crying Pierrot who would wave and dance, their face changing expressions. I was never sure if it was a dream, but it doesn’t “feel” like one. My mother eventually got tired of me screaming in terror every night and eventually took the print down and threw it out. Anyways, congratulations! You’ve unlocked one of my core memories that I will thinking about all night. Really enjoy your channel btw.
Wow what a fun, well produced video to pop up in my recommendations. Can't believe you're only at 1k subs, I'm sure this channel will take off eventually.
As an Italian, thank you for the part on carbonara😆... I love how this video just feels like we're hanging out and listening to a friend talk about life memories, great vibe!
Whoa, that memory with the floating Santa mask is really scary, when I imagine it. Yikes! I really like your illustrations, Chris. I have a creepy memory (well, at least creepy to me) When I was a pretty young child (I want to say 5?), my parents left for a party in the neighbourhood. The party was very close and they told me to just come over in case I got scared or something else happened (pretty wild scenario for a 5 year old, now that I think about it). I remember getting up from bed. I don't even know if I had been asleep or just couldn't fall asleep or how much time had passed since my parents had left. I remember walking down the stairs to the ground floor and standing in the hallway. Now, there were also stairs leading further down to the basement, right next to the staircase leading up, and I got a bit spooked because of that, because fuck basements, right? I stood in the hallway for a bit and looked down there first, and then up the staircase I had come down from. The latter went up and made a turn to the left, so that you couldn't see all the way up. And I remember, very vividly, that a huge creature came down those stairs. It was taller than a human and had only one massive leg and foot. I got so scared and ran over to the neighbours to get my parents. I don't remember telling them about it or what happend then. The creature looked pretty much like a very beefy Yamajiji, although I do not remember if it had arms: : yokai.com/yamajijii/ Now, what is that? It feels like a memory, but it MUST have been a nightmare, right?
Glad this one popped up in my recs; the intro alone was enough for me to slap the subscribe button. Love the vibe. I may just be lucky, but there are some weird/unexplainable childhood memories of mine that can be corroborated by others who were adults at the time. One of my earliest memories is of a very close UFO encounter (as in one landing across the street in the park before taking off at incredible speed - silently - away) and my parents and grandparents, to this day, still can't explain what it was. I was maybe 4 years old but it stuck with me, likely due to the wild reactions of the adults around me. Another that comes to mind was the night of my 10th birthday. I was having a sleepover with my friends and my dad was letting us sleep in the livingroom with sleeping bags as I'd gotten an n64 for my birthday (It had been out for a bit by then, but it was my first home console since the Sega Genesis). We stayed up way past bedtime, doing our best to be quiet as to not wake my dad. At one point we heard movement from upstairs and sp shut off the TV and dove into our respective sleeping bags, covering our heads. It sounded like my dad had stumbled (he drank a lot) down the stairs, past us on the floor, and into the kitchen, which was adjacent to the livingroom and only separated by a half wall. I peeked and saw nobody there, so we all got up to check only to find that whatever we had heard wasn't my dad. We never figured out what it was lol
That UFO story sounds crazy! Like how can you explain that? If it was just you it would have been one thing, but if a bunch of grown ups saw it too then it can't just be imagination. Very strange! But interesting.
Yeah! Also, I have a memory when I was little where I got up in the morning after I left a tooth for the tooth fairy and she hadn’t come. So I went to my parent’s room to tell them. After I did, my cat that was on their bed seemed to look at something moving in the distance and then I went to my room and the tooth was gone and I got a dollar. I’m still so confused about this. I only have a younger brother who was littler than me at the time so he couldn’t have put it there. What happened?? I keep trying to ask my parents about it today and they still try to pretend it was the tooth fairy and won’t give me a solid answer…
Hey man, found your channel while listening to some creepy pastas. Really liked it! You won yourself a subscriber, looking foward to the next videos. Keep it up the good work!
I remember vividly as a child (maybe 6 or 7 years old) going down the stairs to leave my families summer home after we had packed everything. That staircase went almost straight into my parents bedroom upstairs and the door was open. The weird thing though was that I saw a black human shaped figure peeking out from the door frame. I obviously went to tell my parents but when we got up there the figure was gone. There weren't any objects that could have cast a shadow and everyone in the family were either in the entrance to the house or loading things up in the car. Appearantly I once freaked out my mom when I was 3 because I asked her "do you see the people over there" multiple times one night when we were alone in the house.
btw, I discovered you because of the swedish folklore vid a few days ago and I have since watched all your videos and love them, keep up the good work!
That sounds super creepy and I love it! I'm glad you like my videos, the folklore one is not my personal favorite if you know what I mean 😅 thank you very much ☺️❤️
Im absolutely adoring your channel and rhe way you write and speak and see thw world 🖤 i love having these on last thing before i sleep. Wirh that in mind though, i do find rhe music a little distracting sometimes! I think something more ambient would suit your channrl better, if that makes sense. Keep up the great work either way though! 🖤🖤
I don't remember that voice of the woman that night but I clearly remember a few other things right outside your fathers house. Being 200 meters from an old graveyard doesn't help 😅
When I was a kid I fell asleep with my favourite toy car next to my pillow. While sleeping I dreamt that the giant from Mickey Mouse ate it, only to wake up to the car being gone. I think my brain just made up the car and convinced me that it was a real thing
loved the ending so creepy , is the whole video a dream or not :D , plus i rly love ur drawing art do u have a website or any link to check ur art out ?
Since some of your horror experiences were santa related, I want to recommend an episode from "Creeped out" called "Splinta Claws". It's an episodic kid's show, but just seeing that santa makes me uncomfortable. I don't like clowns myself, so I can see why people with creepy masks would scare anyone, not just kids.
I have a memory that we were at soccer practice and we got into an abandoned restroom at the park we played at, and four of us were in the restroom by the urinals. We flushed the urinal and instead of water or anything since the plumbing didn't work, a bunch of potato bugs crawled out of the drain. I mean like 50 potato bugs and we ran to the door and the rest of the team held the door from the outside and wouldn't let us out and we were able to smash past them out of sheer terror. I don't know if this really happened or if it is possible for that many potato bugs to reside in a drain pipe together
This is the perfect channel to gather videos into a playlist and listen to while working on a craft project. Currently I'm trying to crochet a hat
Thank you! I hope your hat turns out great 😁
Yo that's what I'm doing now timber framing some post and beams together. Lol. It IS good to listen too
You guys are awesome! Thank you!😁
Recarving and redesigning he body of a bass guitar haha
@DrDizzleFrizzle cool! I'm definitely not a guy built for any kind of wood work
I love your channel. It has a mixed energy of like a Stephen king novel and it's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown. Subscribed
That's a great compliment! Thank you 😊
Oh yeah, his videos has such a great aesthetic //Childhood friend of Chris with the same name ❄️

Mycket bra engelskt uttal! & ja, de där obehagliga tomtemaskerna är legendariska!

Yeah, I like jazz but I guess something a bit more subtle might work even better.
YES POGS!! I used to OWN at POGS lol and I swear, I could flip 2 or 3 at a time with a thick glow in the dark slammer
Glow in the dark slammer sounds awesome!
I have only watched two of your contributions thus far. They make me want to try harder!
What ever it is you want to try harder at, go for it! And have fun! 😊
That Santa mask owes you emotional damage $$$ 🎅🏻
I agree! I should contact the manufacturer.

Those were the days!!!
@@chriswingerTV we need to recreate them 🙏🏻
Also, I'm quite certain I had a Mortal Kombat slammer as well but it was a bit thinner so I didn't utilize it as much haha

Thank you! I have an Instagram: ChrisWinger_TV but I haven't posted much yet. I'll try to do more art soon though!
This is a fantastic video. Your accent is so oddly familiar and comforting. May I ask where you’re from? Excited to watch more of your videos
Thank you! I'm from Sweden actually 😁
Love this channel! That creepy smile at the end reminded me of the Santa mask 😅 Where is Chris Winger?
Thank you!
You'll have to stick around to find out 😲
I was scared of the Santa mask too my first memory of Santa is being scared of santa
That's pretty much my experience too 😅

Thoroughly entertaining 19 min 22 seconds
Thank you very much!😁
I have some very weird but to me 100% real memories from my chilshood 😅
please no more crunchy footsteps- loved the rest of it! ...especially the Haunted Mansion game music!
Next time I'll go for a walk in the snow!☺️
Oh we still have pogs, they just changed the spelling a bit😂. Lol I loved pogs
They still make them?😲
I don't think that white stuff was lotion
Makes you wonder what was going on in that house...
You were afraid of Santa but not Black Pete?
If we had Black Pete in Sweden I probably would have been!
@@chriswingerTV Is that just Germany? You guys didn't have Krampus or some such nonsense to scare kids into being good?
Before we had Jultomten (kind of Santa) we had the Christmas goat, who I think is related to Krampus, but he was nice.

Holy crap! That sounds absolutely terrifying. I'm not the biggest fan of bugs.
