Either use some kind of illusion tech to distort view or make it look like he’s wearing the uniform while not actually wearing anything. Or get around it on technicalities. Like branding a full body veil as something else or have him cover up with a tarp. Not clothes. Just carrying equipment around everywhere.

It may be the case that higher ranking officers have more freedom to accessorize their uniforms like in the Military higher ranking officers have more freedom than new recruits!

This episode tried to ape the TNG episode "The Outcast" where the race has no gender and those that identify with a gender are corrected but i think TNG handled it alot better and without as much holyier than thou preaching.
That episode was trying for a metaphor on homosexuality, and failed at every step because of cowardice and idiocy. Plus, it ends with the identity rape being 'successful', and no real repercussions for the race involved from the Federation. TNG was not ready, equipped or willing to do any of it properly.

Her ego is out of control from s01e01 cheating on the protagonist through here, with no character growth or ownership of her actions.

I'd just shift one of his days off to the first of the month. That is a proper compromise though I agree there are limits to tolerance.

I keep coming back hoping to like Orville, I keep hating the high school drama dialogue and the flat delivery. I don't know why I keep trying.
It's good tv show but it would have been better if they used general expressions instead of americanising everything
