You are very patient. That’s a good way to do it. You can also use fishing line instead of floss, but floss may be softer and better if it doesn’t break too often. May be a little overkill with all the waxes etc
i watched a couple of videos today on this....and one was yours. It worked PERFECT. Took the hood badges off of my 2005 Chevy 2500. Used Goo Be Gone and worked great....it smells citrus. Put the new badges on and I am PLEASED beyond measure. Used fishing line.... Works great. No heat gun. Thanks again Boss.
Props on the tutorial! I had to remove the dealership advertisement. I used Texas hot sunshine for the heat, goo gone on a paper towel and a small plastic scraper. Done in 15 mins. Cleaned with hot soapy water and rinsed. Can't even tell it was ever there. Thanks!
Thank you for posting this, much appreciated, I watched a lot of videos on debadging, followed all of your recommendations, used the same chemicals all available on Amazon, and my first time debadging process was perfect, no ghosting on a three year old black car. You da man.
I always at least remove the sticker or emblem that the car dealer applies that has their name and such on it. You are basically a free billboard for the car dealership. It looks bad. I also remove the license plate frame that has the dealership info on it. If they want to pay me to advertise for them, then I would.
Heat reactivates the adhesive. To add to your process here, I would reccomend continuing to apply a little heat to the remaining adhesive as you clean.
Only comment is don’t use the handle on your DA. Very hard to keep it square to the work surface. Take the handle off and put your hand on the back of the tool, directly opposite the pad. Otherwise, excellent video!
damn he really does everything so damn slowly. I can imagine how annoying it would be to have a friend like that who takes his own sweet time everytime you're out with him.
I don't know how I got here but anyway....Can someone fill me in on why anyone would want the make and model emblems taken off their car? For real. Legit question :-)
Megan O'Hara IMO it adds a clean look. And a sense of “you shouldn’t have to read my bumper to know what kind of car this is”. For my Lexus I’m more of a fan of the JDM Aristo so I’m taking my GS and Lexus decals off and putting an Aristo grill on the front to give it more a JDM look since Lexus isn’t a thing in japan. People have their own reasons why they like things. It’s just a clean look to some
It doesn't affect the value at all. If you think removing a sticker makes an extremely complex machine less valuable...then I don't know what to tell you.

Damn dude! Im glad you mentioned the automotive goo gone. Didn't even know that existed

I always tell the dealer to do that.
Awesome tutorial man. Was a bit nervous to do this on my 06 Type S, but feel a little more confident now lol.
Fantastic work dude. I would not have removed the Mitsubishi badge but the rest looks clean af
Yeah but if you leave it then everyone will know you driving a mr butchee.
More beautiful without emblems!
A+ presentation. You made it easy to understand. Good reason to get a heat gun, at least...
nice cleaning! now where is the exact placement of that emblem?
If you have a steamer,it also works and it’s not as dangerous as a heat gun
What is the power tool and attachments you are using To buff/wax your car?
Wagner isn't 'Harbor Freight', btw :P Good job and explanation of the how-to! Fishing string (30lb test) is a great alternative to the floss, as well.
This, is true! my minds instantly triggered if I have a tool that is yellow its from harbor freight lol.
WD 40 works well without damaging the paint also to remove the adheasive
Great tutorial, you are a true artist!
how long did it take

did you even watch the video? that's exactly what he does dumbass.
Thank you Chris Great job helps alot & good to know,
Nice video it’s a very long video Just for a emblem video but it’s a good video keep it up
Video video video video
Does a hairdryer work?
Jarred Va yes

Hey how about that button? How can i take it off?
That's part of the Lancer smart key to open the trunk. You can't remove that.
Yeah, that button is glaringly out of place. Ugly!
You mean the keyhole lmao
Thank you so much, this video helped out a lot :) ur the man !
How do I remove the crown from my Rolex?
Well done video bud thanks
You're Welcome!
awesome BUT, never pick those emblems. You take a chance that the opposite side will dig into the paint. Otherwise well done!
I used fishing line
And I need no heat gun
much better !
thank you
awesome man

How does that affect resale value?
It doesn't affect the value at all. If you think removing a sticker makes an extremely complex machine less valuable...then I don't know what to tell you.
Megan O'Hara looks much cleaner that way to me, I've always thought those big chrome emblems looked gaudy on any car...
If you have to ask, it clearly isn't for you and you wouldn't understand.
Great vid thnx
22 minute video to demonstrate how to remove emblems?
3M Eraser tool
Can you slow it up more please, i am in no hurry take yr sweet 25 min. Of our time. It must be very cold wearing a hat with a T-shirt LOL.
Car badge rip
WD40 IS BETTER..............LIVERPOOL
Why would anyone want that done?
Because they're embarrassed they drive a BMW 330i so they debadge and slap on an M sticker
Hahaha
Because it looks cleaner
How does that affect resale value?
it doesnt. you know you can de-badge, buy your badge again, re-badge, and possibly regret it so you de-badge again
Polishing was terrible definitely working too large of an area , check out esoteric car care no need for priming the pad with professional product
