@@michaelzdanis3979 I completely agree but I feel like it’s this reaction more because he’s the closest thing to Tiger since Tiger. It’s like Kobe getting compared to MJ, not really a contest but a lot of similar qualities
Joins Jack and Tiger in winning his 1st major at the age of 23. Special kid, going to be a force on tour for decades to come. Congrats from the Philippines.
That tip abt glove under left arm is what i started to do a few weeks ago and w very solid results. I don’t use a glove because then I get too focused on it, but rather just keep my left bicep very close to my chest on the backswing. Works like a charm for deadly accuracy!
What a great interview! Pierce & Andy really dig into Collins head in such a short span. And what a great challenge to that pin love how you guys promote the game of golf, thanks!
Dang you guys are great! Thanks for putting Collin up to the test. I'm here because Collin just won the PGA Championship. He has another fan. Golf has just gotten a bit more spicier.
Colin Morikawa and Min Woo Lee, man am I looking forward to these guys playing over the next 10 years. I think they are the future marques of the game.
I like that he said he basically has his clubface aimed at the target and he just adjusts his body for whatever shop he wants to hit; slightly closed for the draw and open for the fade. Not a whole lot of mechanical swing thoughts.
Yes. Lets hope he avoids the usual physical fitness guru and golf coach who would try to change his body and his golf swing, which is the usual routine once they have more money than they know what to do with.
The glove drill is great...Picked him to win a major...check, doubled my bet for 2 majors I think he’ll win masters depending on his putting..or Dj could go on a heater and destroy every course but Boston is a long hitters course
Shaking hands and having fun - ' How are things?' Collin: "They're great. You can't complain when you're travelling the world playing the sport you love..." COVID-19: "That's my cue..."
I was looking at that, and I was like “maybe that’s a word”. No it’s just absolutely wrong lmao. Predominantly was the correct word there but massacres in spelling.
Collin is brilliant. Taylor made clubs are good …..I use them. But I am smart…..I always wait 1- 1.5 years then they would be heavily discounted. Haha. Nowadays I can’t increase my distance but my overall accuracy is higher. I have been winning competition….🏆
@@Danjon1235 i wouldn't necessarily say "a lot" of players do. imo probably less than 10% of players on tour can do it cause bowing your left wrist requires ton of flexibility in left forearm muscles.
David Park most down have that pronounced bowing at the top is their backswing, but many tour players are flexing the wrist that same way on the downswing and at impact! Makes a big difference try it out
@@josephcarter9761 oh i completely agree with you its mostly on downswing/impact. i was talking about how only a few bow on the backswing, not the downswing/impact.
What a top man Collin Morikawa is. Intelligent, amiable, eloquent and now a major champion.
Twice!
Collin just won the Open today. What an amazing talent, and a wonderful young man.
Im a fan. He's a smart guy and he seems to be very grounded. He will have a long career.
How do you feel NOW? 😎
Such a young golfer wise beyond his years... Getting some serious Tiger vibes from this kid.
Nah
@@hosoiarchives4858 Concur. Collin is a nice kid with a good game. Tiger was a generational (or more) talent and a stone cold killer competitor.

He is extremely smart, super interesting to see what his process is
Collin has the sweetest swing I've seen in a long time.
Congrats Collin on your PGA championship! Outstanding play!
You two do the best golf pro interviews I’ve ver seen. I wish the USA golf channel would hire you for this

I like his thought process. Great insight. What a legend
Watching a ton of highlights from him lately. Great tempo and Balance. Just smooth and focused.
Very impressive young man. Go Mori!
Great tips with the rising star of golf Collin Morikawa!

an excellent golfer to model. thinking and dynamic motion of body

Can’t get enough of this guy. Never saw this kind of disclosure with Brooks, Dustin, Justin, Rory?
hes got better communications skills than dustin and brooks lol. rory on the other hand may be to busy with stuff.
Rory was on this show twice

Not me.
It's WAY before that.
Me. I think he is top 3 iron play on tour.

Collin W is the real deal.
I love his swing. I wish I could swing like that.
To me this is a very sympathetic sportsman Nice intervieuw
Just found this guy. He’s a gem.
Smooth, smart and real. Find the swing thought that makes it real. Then let it be. The results will always speak for themselves.

Colin is crushing at Colonial ⛳️
Was I right? Dude lost in the playoffs took home 800k!
Zachary S Brennan no, dude chocked in the playoffs with a 2 and a half footer. But I hope he has a successful career
Pretty cool stuff

Tiger and Colin playing a practice round or skins game with mics on the same team would be maybe the best golf lesson of all time
Tiger is far too vague to learn from vocally
Seems like a really cool dude 🍺🇨🇦⛳️
And major winner 2020
Smart guy watching Rory, why not learn from the best? I foresee a great rivalry with Hovland. Two tremendous talents to take on Rahm for the No1 spot.
Does he charge ball positions for fade draw ,?
Good lad, all the best
What club did Colin hit at the 152 target?
He does the BEST Rory swing I've ever seen!!!
Greatest golf swing.... on planet earth.
This guy is a real deal, JT is not a push over...I really like his swing, very smooth and I will buy a mix irons like his, probably with p790 not p760
Collin is definitely the best putter period
Here we are, two Majors later. What a future this kid has.
Nice swing but will it hold up to win a major
You mean another major.
You should have asked him to say "The conditions were really difficult out there, really difficult"
You guys rock…so down to earth…K.I.S.S…..keep it simple stupid…ty…
Does anyone know what his actual grip is?
well spoken, mature, reminds me of tiger back in the day
This guy CW is the Real Deal.
It would have been nice to see the fade and draw shots side by side.
What irons does he play? He has a great swing and doesn't over think he just knows his swing and who's how to work it
last year he played p730s from 4-pw. I cant imagine it changing much. But i do see a p750/p770 in his bag. (cant tell which)

mental toughness!

During Colonial, I bet him 70-1 in the Masters. Love the maturity and the iron game for Augusta's back nine. He has plenty of power.
Those odds have come way down by now, nice
Don't want to come off as a spelling Nazi, but the correct spelling is "predominantly."
Jonathan Paek ... Heil Joanathan
Prodiminently? I think youre trying to say either prominently or predominantly...
And pga champion
You think I’m watching your coaching vids after flailing that 9 iron 20 yards right?
The boy can hit his irons.
Little did we know 5 months ago
In a time when everyone is obsessed with the driver, not to see a great iron player.
This is going to get a LOT more views lol ...
165 yard fade with an 8 iron. 176 yard draw with an 8 iron.

I try to model my swing of Collin.
12:38 LOL
why the hell would you change the camera angle right before he swings when the fucking glove was the whole point of the swing?
Did I miss it,....or did they never ask him what club he played?
sounds like a young Tiger

He went on the win the PGA and British Open before he hit 25 years old. Only Tiger has done the same.
Did they spell Predominantly "PRODIMINENTLY" because that's how Piers and Andy make it sound with their accent?
