Foely is 78' above sea level! Locals know how to get around without getting on 59. 40 minutes from Mobile and Pensicola Airports and Hospitals. Winter is 6 weeks long and it's a joke for the snowbirds. We're loving it here!👍👍👍
I love living down here but the traffic is overwhelming. I live close to the Magnolia Springs school & mostly shop in Fairhope. It’s helped a lot. But after three years Im strongly considering moving. I’ve been in property mgmt my entire life & with the influx of new residents bookings are about a 3rd of what they were.
Yeah I actually live on the island in Orange Beach and the traffic (especially in the summer) is no joke. I have been from everyone that bookings are down. I think it is just a matter of the economy and hopefully we can get some changes soon and the economy will come back 5 fold. So it depends on what kind of investment you want to make as to what area you should look at. Seafood is my preference as well...LOL. Lamberts is great but holy cow you need to be wheeled out of there at the end. They give you SO MUCH FOOD!!!! LOL
"Foley" is ghetto, it has not grown, drive down "59" half the businesses are closed, closing...south Foley, nearing Gulf Shores/Orange Beach is where all the new development is.....Fairhope is premium, Daphne is intermediate but has crime issues. Drive the back streets of Foley, it's ghetto and the arm pit of the region...they are not being honest!, I reside in Gulf Shores, "Foley" is the joke of the region....

Foley is building and growing like crazy. We have a 3rd home there, and we enjoy our central location, and our great neighbors. The traffic can be bad, but you can learn to avoid it. Public services are great and very reasonable. The people are polite and respectful.
LOL< you have "United Methodist" locally centrally in Foley, lead paster Bill Curtin is a criminal, sex crimes, prostitution.... there's a reason the "clergy" placed him in Foley, yes local law enforcement is aware...it's the "armpit" of the region, yes "cheap" housing compared to the balance of the region, there's a region!
