Remove ten plastic push pins on radiator support, unsnap hood release cable from top of grill, unscrew both hood bumpers, grill unsnaps at the upper corners. Remove three T25 screws that hold headlight assembly, now you have easy access to headlight or fog light bulbs. Also when removing driver side headlight assembly, you now have easy access to oil filter, especially if your KK is fitted with skid plates.
Your manipulation has a lack of care that can cause damage to the cables or even the connectors. To remove the main bulb you need to twist counter clockwise the socket and then release it also the red part on the back part of the bulb is a secure which needs to be open before the removal of the bulb. As a personal hint, always change bulbs in pairs that way your car will always have the same light in both sides.
It’s an absolute pain in the ass to get that bulb out, it’s like they wanted you to bring it to the dealer to do it. Eventually got it out but holy crap what a ball buster.

What about the other side? No battery to take out is it a pain?
