Oana, you gave an excellent garden tour! Well the two of you did a fantastic tour of this incredible historical property! If you ever get to Pennsylvania you will have to visit Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia. I know you would both Love it! Kind Thanks! Love, Light, Peace and Joy of Being! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Well, it's a tad surreal, but here I am on a fine spring morning in North East China, enjoying a documentary which was made on a fine spring morning in South East England. Cressing looks to be an absolute gem and, virus permitting, will certainly be on my list of places to visit next time I get back to the UK. Thanks for a lovely and insightful documentary from you and Oana.
Hi Chris, great to be back "in the flock". How are you? In the years since we met my health took a bad turn but I am under treatment and hopefully, this year will be a new start for me. My mobility has suffered and so videos like this are a blessing to me, so thank you for that. I hope all is well with you, I will be looking through your back catalogue and catching up. Take care and stay safe.
Hi Colin, Long time no hear. So pleased to read, but equally sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope my shows will compensate you, mate. Take care also.
@@HauntedEarth Thanks Chris. I am working my way through your back catalogue. I told a friend of mine about Little Wenham and sent him the link to your video. He's from Goa and always asking me about interesting places to visit, he's also religious, a devout catholic, and is interested about how the reformation changed the attitude to churchlife.
I really look forward to your videos Chris. Such a beautiful place. All of the spirits of history from centuries gone by that lies slumbering just beneath the surface.
Such a beautiful place, those timber roofs are just beautiful/ stunning, my husband is an old school carpenter so we appreciate all thats involves with a hand cut roof, it’s all kits these days, and the garden tour was beautifully done also, stepping back in time. xx
Oana did a great job presenting the herb garden. She's such a sweetheart. My favorite thing was the little patch with the snake skin plants. So pretty !
Absolutely amazing Chris! Im a brit from Cornwall and Essex and when i lived there i took these places for granted and mever really visited them. I am coming back to the UK this summer and am sure to visit a few of these places. I would love to do a night visit with Eddie and yourself. Cornwall is where i will be first and would love to do a paranormal night visit to Tintagel castle ( the remains of camelot castle) and also Bodmin jail which is supposed to be very haunted. This is another great production which makes me more homesick for England...lol
Lovely grounds with fascinating history on a beautiful day, pleasantly presented - can't beat that! Thx 4 peek at repurposed chimney artifact, undulating loft floorboards + remaining moat sections. Esp enjoyed garden + fountain, trellis & og walled enclosure. Such a spacious property with shelves' worth of stories - many known, yet prob still more untold or forgotten!
Rewatching this again tonight before vacay. The little religious building left to decay that I commented on on another walking tour.... Is it possible to do a go fund me and save it? I'd be willing to pass it on to all my UK peeps who Im going to visit with and my fellow Americans. They would be aghast at something like that being left to decay for the land even if it is Victorian. It's Essex history, it's what will bring tourism to that region. Save Essex history and its cultural heritage. Im so impressed by your videos and how much you are contributing to your community and beyond by documenting it so well. Kudos!
A gorgeous British golden gem, sorry Chris not you this time haha, such history and wonderful building, simply beautiful. If only those walls could talk, what tales they could tell. Thanks for making my afternoon my friend. I look forward to the next vid. Any more paranormal investigations planned? I do hope so, 10/10 as always....
This was wonderful! Thank you Chris. It's difficult to imagine the age of some of these structures, How would the barns have looked when they were full of oats and barley?
Fella, with respect, the, or one of THE oldest cruck barn construction/complete may be found off the Chatsworth Road, out of Chesterfield, turn thee left into Holymoorside, tis there, ont, again, left hand side. Also, tis currently up for sale, ALL original, Cruck , THE stuff.

A great place on it's own. Even better when they host events.
Indeed, John :)
This was wonderful! Thank you Chris. It's difficult to imagine the age of some of these structures, How would the barns have looked when they were full of oats and barley?
I often wonder too, Lane. :)
I think that bakery does actually get used on event days.
Funny question about the gardens' lawns; how did they cut the grass lawn areas without lawn mowers?
I think they used sheep and cattle, Betsy.
Knights Templar were prolific in France as well. Jacques De Molay
