When Home Free released their "Sea Shanty Medley" during the lock down and it went viral, the game company Ubisoft saw it and was so impressed by them that they reached out to Home Free and asked if they would be interested in creating an original song for their game (which was in development) Skull and Bones. Of course they jumped on that and their one and only sea shanty enthusiast, Adam Chance stepped up and wrote this master piece. Ubisoft introduced them and their song at the Summer Game Fest along with the lyric video which is what we had until now. This video incorporates elements of the game into the story depicted in the video. Well worth the wait. As it turns out there were 5 Notorious Female Pirates · 1. Cheng I Sao · 2. Anne Bonny · 3. Mary Read · 4. Grace O'Malley · 5. Rachel Wall. Looking forward to what they have next for us.

Home Free did this shanty for the game maker Ubisoft. Ubisoft had seen Home Free’s sea shanty medley during Covid and it went viral. They approached Chance and asked him to write a shanty for their new game called Skull and Bones. This is the song!!! It’s a banger!!! Loved Tim’s low notes. The boys looked good as pirates. Aaaaarrrggghhhh!!!! 🥰☠☠

This is the third version of this song we have been treated to by our guys. The first two were released at nearly the same time. One was just Home Free singing the tune at the announcement by Ubi that their computer game Skull and Bones with the sample of the game playing behind them. The other was a video of our guys singing the song while the game sample played on the screen while the words were shown onscreen.
Us fans are so proud of Chance who was commissioned to write the song for the game that is due to be released this month. Congratulations to Home Free for their excellent work on this masterpiece.

This song was written by Chance for a video game and couldn't have been used in Pirates of the Carribbean
Only that first little bit was used in Pirates, It is very common in Pirate movies and songs.

Skull and Bones was written by Adam Chance in 2023 for the Ubisof video game of the same name. As fare as I know it has nothing to do with Pirates of the Caribbean other than maybe spurring on the current pirate and sea shanty craze. This is the third video Home Free has done for this song. The first two were their stage performance when they debuted the song and the one scrolling the lyrics with scenes from the game behind them.
This isn't a music video - it's a mini-movie with terrific acting, singing, harmonies, Adam's crazy beatboxing and a coherent story (something most movies now lack!). Chance wrote the song a year or two ago at the behest of game company Ubisoft.

Ths song is not that old i was wrtten by Adam Chance of Home Free. The video game he wrote it for is set in 1693 it wasnt in any of the pirates of the carabean movies.
