    This one turned out pretty amazing (in our books).
    Sorry we've taken so long to upload a video, but doesn't mean we haven't been working in the backend :) Hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it.

    How refreshing to get actual background on culture and dishes, in this case India. Thank you for this video.

    Incredible! thank you. I personally enjoy watching all your videos, even if you are cooking a dish that has already been covered. And regardless of whether you're cooking in a video or not, even watching you guys sit around a table and chat while drinking coffee would make a great video, based on your production style, music, editing, lighting, lifestyle etc.

      Hi Mehdi, thank you :). We really like the folks enjoy what we are putting out. And, I think we will take you up on that idea of us sitting and chatting more about us and what we do and output on this channel 😁. We haven’t uploaded much recently because we got other projects to work on and some health issues, but we do have stuff being worked on.

    Hi Nadia & Rob. I’m a new subscriber to your channel. Love how personal your videos are and your content styles. One thing I really notice was the amazing pots and pans you use. Could you guys do a video on the pots and pans you use (your favourites or most used?) and the personal history and how you use them?

      Hi Jason, so glad you’re enjoying our videos!!! We love knowing folks liking what we place on here. We think that’s a fantastic idea about our pots and pans and what we like the most for different types of cooking. We are going to be uploading a video soon on more DeBuyer pans that we reviewed. We’ve just been so busy with other work that haven’t had a chance to finish it.

      @@NadiaandRob by the way. May I ask what brand that copper pot with lid is from? The one used to cook this curry

    • @NadiaandRob
      @NadiaandRob  Рік тому

      @Jason Ng it’s a Turkish brand called Soy and their pans are both beautiful and amazing to cook with.

      We absolutely love using it 😁

    How’s that copper pan holding up?

    • @NadiaandRob
      @NadiaandRob  11 місяців тому

      We Love our Soy Copper Pan. ua-cam.com/users/shortsF6ys84-fVqs?feature=share It's a pleasure to cook with. We use it for slow cooked sauces, Daal's, curries, stews etc. We like the patina it develops over time and use, so we don't polish the copper. It hasn't shown any signs of wear over the last year, but if we ever manage to wear through the tin lining, it can be returned to Soy for re-tinning.
      Overall a beautiful pan, built for a lifetime.

    Ughhhh this is the first time I am on your channel and utterly disappointed with the video. As a viewer who wants to just look at the recipe and try it out, all the talking and face time is just annoying. Show the ingredients and then show the cooking process, that's all. You can talk in the background like www.youtube.com/@foodwishes, if you like.
    Also, make sure your ingredients are accurate. When you say you made the ginger garlic paste ahead of time and added other ingredients in it, that's ambiguous. By other ingredients do you mean other ingredients of the recipe or entirely different ingredients that you didn't mention? It makes following the recipe difficult.
    The videography is excellent and the channel has potential but all the slow talking just kills this video. I stopped watching pretty much right away. Just my honest opinion as a viewer.

      Hi Jan Keon we’re sorry you feel that way, but we are just testing someone else’s recipe and sharing with folks on some cooking techniques and our thoughts on it. If you’d like to follow the recipe exactly then there is a book to refer to. It’s not our recipe. Some of our other videos are more recipe specific.
      Thank you for your feedback.

      @@NadiaandRob May I just say I am the complete opposite. There are so many recipe videos out there that are speedy, but not many such as this which go deep into explaining the history or meanings of things. This coming from a person who grew up in Singapore only knowing the Indonesian/Nonya version of acar, then later found and fell in love with the flavours of aam ka achar. I also love panch phoron and the constituent spices very very much, and how these spices are often used for achari dishes. Keep up the great work!
