Gareso bro your channel is a gem... truly... please keep making tutorial video as there are only a few handful of people teaching such quality stuff. I watched your other Workflow videos, it would be awesome if you make detailed beginner tutorials for them. I'm a beginner atm, and not familiar with many things involved in your workflow.
Also, please teach not just the animation process but also how to create such beautiful artwork as you do. Please share your understanding of colors, frames, and how to present a message, an idea through an animation.

Hey Mr. XYZ, thanks for your words. It means a lot to me :) I plan on talking about this kind of stuff in the form of courses in the future, but unfortunately, my time is very limited at the moment and I have to make some tough decisions every day on where to put my focus on the short term. I have still a lot to learn myself so, for the time being, I'll stick to the current format (while compiling notes for a future course).

This preset is incredible and appreciated! I love the organic feel of your animations. I know this isn't the best place to ask but is there a reason you use Animate CC for some of your animations over just doing it in AE? Do you think Animate CC is important for your workflow or could do everything in AE if you really wanted to? I'm trying to debate if it's worth learning Animate instead of trying to find workarounds within AE so I keep the animating all in one program. Thank you for these videos!
Hi! Thanks! I'm glad you found it useful :) well, I use Animate mostly to do frame by frame animation (now i usually do my rough passes on rough animator on my iPad). After Effects was not made for that. You can still use AE to clean up frame by frame animations in some situations, but if you are serious about frame by frame you'll have to use other software, like Animate, toon boom, or even Photoshop. Rest assured that the software is the easiest part when it comes to learning traditional animation. I think it's always nice to have at least a basic knowledge of a couple of softwares that do different things. That way you can always adapt depending on the task at hand, and accomplish more, faster, using the strenghts of each one. AE is a different beast that can do a lot of different stuff, including character animation (with amazing rigs...or not), but full frame-by-frame animation isn't one of it's strengths.
@@gareso Thank you for the response! It makes complete sense and I only improve when I learn something new. The way I do things now is rig and animate in AE, but use a plugin called Paint & Stick to smooth it out with some hand drawn animation. Animate would probably be faster if I learn how to use it. Looking forward to your next tutorial/workflow video!

How can I make the shadow as seen in your store page artwork for Noise Texture Preset?
Thanks! Nice catch :) that shadow was made by duplicating the layer and applying a drop shadow layer style with softness and noise to it. You can also precompose the layer after applying the preset, and apply the layer style to the precomp to avoid duplicating ;)

thankyou so much for sharing!! I dont know what's wrong, after i coppied the ffx files to my preset folder, the effect still not in the list. But i can handle it with opening your demo project and save a new animation effect from there.

It works with any layer and any shape. All you have to do is to tweak the settings a bit to adjust to the size of the layer ;)

i am usig AE cc 2015 the preset does not appear in the effects and preset menu.
Hmm, not sure how far back it's still compatible. Never had the chance to test on CC 2015, sorry.

It can get pretty heavy if you are applying it to many layers. I recommend turning off the effects while animating and turning them back on for rendering ;)

There is a CC 15 version inside the folder (I guess that as far as I can go with my version of AE). What's your AE version?
