Bypassing "Deep Glow" to use the stock AE Glow hurts me on a primal level... but I realize you did it for the sake of the tutorial. Well-done.

but with shape objects you can just use gradient fill, it's fully controlled and can be animated as you want.
Just a TIP, make your After Effects window smaller before recording

Where did you get that properties panel? Is it built-in to After Effects?
After Effects CC 2023 has a lot of new features, but the problem is that it is very resource hungry.

Thank you for such nice and informative video, i am facing one issue though, while looping out the texture, straight lines [border of the rectangular texture image] are coming in loop which is visible in the colour ball. how to get rid of that? it is a png am using.
Your pre-comp / image will need to be a larger size or resolution. You could scale your image, but it may become pixelated.

Is there any reason to not use the chromatic abberation effect that is pre-built in After Effects?
It’s a longer manual setup as they don’t actually have an inbuilt effect - at least that I know of. Plug-in just makes it much faster and easier to work with.

When I use wiggle for the offset texture I can see the border of the image. How do I fix this?
Scaling your layer so it's bigger than the comp size should fix it!

Unfortunately for this project I can’t, as it was made on studio time and resources.
However I plan on making a few more of these during my personal time and will hopefully create a resources page where they will be a available for download.

All the same styles I mentioned just applied to text instead!
Nothing happens/I can't see anything when I do inner glow, I'm doing the exact same things you are but I see nothing happening, I'm so confused lol
Also like half the buttons in your screen later in the video with the texture composition etc aren't in my screen, when you say to map the texture comp to the layer, that dropdown and like three other things in your screen aren't even in mine and I'm so confused lol
