    So how does one repair or reverse the damage that trans fats have done to the cell membrane? Or is it a matter of just trying to mitigate any further damage?

    Thanks, I didn't realise there was a difference between natural and artifical trans fats. Now, I don't need to worry about dairy products.

      Man quer I am so glad you found my channel. It is easier to prevent a disease than to deal with one once you have it,. So many people wait until their body breaks down.

    Dr. Ekberg,
    Thank you for everything, I am IR and currently prescribed to take metformin everyday. After I joining your program, I have now decided to fast in order to reverse my condition. I am on OMAD, this makes me feel better. My question is, can I stop taking the metformin tablet or I should continue with the metformin!
    Thank you for your intervention

    If trans fats accumulate in your body, then do they can leave it or is it unfixable damage?

    Do saturated fats also infiltrate your cell membranes and cause problems like lack of fluidity?

    I just heard the other day on UA-cam a vegan doctor cite the presence of trans fats in meat as a reason not to eat meat.

      That vegan is very ignorant

    You explain what a "trans fat" is in biochemical terms, but you don't offer a clue why it is harmful and "toxic"

      he did explain it at the end. The human body cannot process trans fats the same way it can process other fats. It then accumulates as a toxin. I mean there are other videos that go more into detail about it. Just watch those.

      Apparently the human body does not produce an enzyme which is capable of breaking down trans fats.

    That's interesting, but where does one find the trans fats ? Which foods contain them ?

    • @drekberg
      @drekberg  6 років тому +5

      Read the label and if it says hydrogenated or partially hyrogenated
