    YOU ARE THE MOST FANTASTIC TEACHER THAT I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO LEARN FROM....
    I WAS BEATIN MY BRAINS OUT TRYIN TO FIGURE OUT WHERE MY LAST DS WENT WHEN I WOULD CLOSE MY RING AND BY GOLLY IT WAS THERE IT JUST ROLLED OVER AN PLAYED DEAD.... WELL I WILL JUST PUT A STOP TO THAT WHEN I GET MY STUFF OUT TO PRACTICE AGAIN... MAN OOOOOO MAN WHEN I SEEN YOU DO THAT EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING IN MY HEAD WENT OUT THE WINDOW AND MADE ME FEEL GREAT AGAIN....
    I ALSO NOTICED THAT YOU DONT TIGHTEN UP YOUR WORK WITH YOUR SHUTTLE BUT USED YOUR RING FINGER ON YOUR SHUTTLE HAND...
    I THOUGHT WOW MAYBE THAT WILL HELP ME WITH THAT HACK OF A MESS THAT I GET ON THE SHUTTLE AN HAVE TO FIGHT WITH TO PUT ON AN TAKE OFF THREAD WHEN I START TO MAKE A NEW FEW STITCHES....
    GIRL I LEARN SOMETHIN SPECIAL WITH EVERY VIDEO I WATCH YOU DO....
    YER JUST A FANTASTIC PERSON.... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO VERY GLAD THAT I FOUND YOU AN YOUR VIDEOS.... I FEEL THAT I MAY NOW LEARN TO BE A PATCH ON A SHUTTLE TATTERS ELBOW..... IT WILL TAKE ME MANY YEARS TO BE PROFICIENT AS MOST... BUT I DONT CARE I AM FINALLY LEARNING TO TAT WITH A SHUTTLE.... HIP-HIP-HOOOOOORAY....

    First time I'm hearing about posting! I've seen my rings twist when I close them, I thought it was just because I'm a newbie. Thanks for the tip!

    Thank you so much, I’ve finally got my rings to close. I was holding the thread wrong!!!

    This is wonderful. Yes, it really does make things so much more understandable. In posting, if you do add 1 more half stitch, do you do it before or after the post?

    How come no one demonstrate what really is done on first rings in a project. Do you just cut that part out?

    Hello!
    I have the double stitch method down. However, whenever I pull the thread that is attached to my shuttle to close my ring, it just makes the last double stitch into a hard knot and does not close the ring. No matter how hard I pinch the stitches or pull the shuttle thread, nothing closes. What am I doing wrong?
    Here is a video of someone else with the same issue as me -
    @
    I am currently practicing with a single shuttle, no additional threads as that's all I have right now.
    Quick breakdown:
    1: I pinch the end of the string, leaving a couple inches tail.
    2: I do my double stitches, starting with under the thread, then over.
    3: After I do all my stitches, I did the half stitch you mentioned at the end of this video and I pull the shuttle thread and it merely tightens down stitch I just made, it does not close the loop.
    I see you respond to all your comments, so is there any way you could help me with this please.

      you have to transfer the knot over. when you make the double stitch loosen up the hand with the loom on it and pull the shuttle thread tight. That will transfer the knot. I hope that explains it for you. Here is a link to the video that shows how to do that. ua-cam.com/video/iMT6I5FVPe4/v-deo.html

    Hi I am having issues with closing the ring, all my stitches look fine and move freely. But I can only close the ring pulling the ball thread not the shuttle thread..What am I doing wrong, I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure it out.. Your help would be much appreciated. Thank you

    • @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130
      @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130  5 років тому

      If your closing the ring using the ball thread your not flipping your stitches. The stitches have to flip over or the shuttle thread won't close the ring. I hope that helps you. Happy tatting.

    Dear Georgia , I'm in love with your tutorials and I had managed to get the ring perfect but I'm wondering how to get the chain in the same color. I would appreciate your help here pls. Thanks very much for the wonderful lessons

      Noni Thank you for watching. First of all let me let you know I am not Georgia. My name is Tamie and I make the videos for Georgia's online classes. We would love for you to join us they are free to all who want to learn. Here is the link to join if you would like. www.georgiaseitz.com Now to answer your question. If you want the chains the same color as the rings then all you would do is use one color for both. you don't need to use 2 different colors. In the video I use this to show the difference between the chains and the rings. I hope that helps you and again thank you for watching. Happy Tatting

      @@anjuthomas474 Do you mean the ring doesn't close? Check to see if your last knot unflipped or if it's so tight the thread can't slide through.

    Hi! Wonderful videos. I'm trying to learn shuttle tatting. I've been watching your videos. I'm having such a hard time getting my left hand to cooperate. I've done a little needle tatting and my index finger wants to be the dominating finger in controlling the tension. My other 3 fingers aren't as flexible. I can do the chains but I'm having a hard time doing the rings and holding he thread in my left hand. I'm not sure I'm positioning my hand the correct way or what. Any advise for a brand new shuttle tatter? I really want this to work. There are so many lovely pieces I'd like to make.

    • @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130
      @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130  7 років тому

      Hi Teresa. Thank you so much for your kind words. Sometimes getting the left hand to participate is difficult. It just doesn't want to see things the way we see them. If you crochet you can hold the left hand thread as if you were crocheting. You would have the pinch with the thumb and middle finger. Your index finger would hold the tension. Your shuttle would pass thru under and over the tensioned area for the first half then over and under for the second half. Mid October I will be releasing some new videos and this question is one at the top of the list to show and explain how to do it. For now I hope this helps you. If not don't hesitate to ask. Happy Tatting

      +Leona Crossland Hi Leona, I sure will. That will be put on the list of the vids to put out over the summer. It will probably be one of the first as i wanted to get all the technique vids out before doing the tat alongs Georgia has requested. That way everyone will have the information they need to follow along on the tat alongs. Happy Tatting

    Hello I am currently working on a Doily the A- 1084 that is featured on Georgia's site, I am stuck on how to work with the picots leaving 1/4 thread , do you have a tutorial on how to do this. I would so love to complete this pretty doily. thanks Nila

      Hi Nila, Sorry it has taking so long to write you back. Life gets in the way of fun things. However thank you for watching. I do have a video on another channel that shows how to use a picot guage. I will say beforehand that it isn't the best video on earth. It was from early on in the learning curve of making videos however here is the link to that. ua-cam.com/video/L8ZdY-XqD08/v-deo.html I hope that helps if you have any other questions please let me know

    So once you make the chain how do you put a knot in it just flip it back over in the right way and put a knot

    • @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130
      @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130  7 років тому

      Hi and thank you for watching. Once you have done the chain you reverse
      your work and continue on. No need for knots unless your a needle tatter
