      Thank you Lucy. I now run The online tatting class on UA-cam. They are live classes and free as well. Georgia retired and handed the reigns off to me. We are on summer break right now and will be having a couple of special classes over the summer. The regular full time classes begin in September. We would love to have you join us. Happy Tatting.

    May I add something? I have been trying to tatt for about 4 years with no success. I just couldn't do the 2nd half of the stitch without the shuttle flying out of my hand. I thought it was slippery shuttles but it turns out it was not. My MIL saw me fighting with it and mentioned her mother had the same problem learning. Her grandmother handed her a shorter shuttle and problem fixed. It is not a learning problem its a small hands problem.
    I put away the aerolits and got some small shuttles and now I can tat without problems. I kept the bigger shuttles though. At the suggestion of NooBear I tried Reverse Reigo method. Turns out I can do that with the big shuttles. So now I tat both ways Reverse reigo with big shuttles and like you are with small ones.

    I just wanted to say that I am a huge fan of your lessons. Your explanations are the most comprehensive and easiest to understand of all the lessons I found on UA-cam. English is not my first language so your clear and calm way of speaking is much appreciated; It's not the same if I slow down the video of someone talking fast. Also I'm really glad that you included instructions for the left handed. I am more or less ambidextrous so I chose to tat with my right hand but it's such a thoughtful gesture. Thank you so much for your wonderful work!

    Wonderful video! I love the dark background. It really makes your hands and the shuttles pop so you can really see what you are doing. I also love that you take your time and explain every step. Well done!

    Georgia I’m so glad I found you and your channel. I’ve been trying out needle tatting, but am not happy with the results. Plus it seems to take longer then shuttle tatting. Looking forward to watching all your lessons. Thanks again, and blessings to you!

    This is the best video for showing how to get the flip! I have never been able to see the flip or get it until watching you :) Now if I could just get my hands to work with shuttle :P My left hand its kinda twitchy from a stroke I had yrs ago. I am so glad there is needle tatting. I can at least do it. But I will keep trying shuttle. At least now I can get the dang flip lol. Thank you.

    Thank you so much for all your video's. I do have a question. I am not sure how tight/snug to make the DS's around my core thread. Also how tight/snug to pull the chains and the rings closed.

    • @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130
      @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130  6 років тому

      That comes from your tension. Tension comes with practice. As you practice pulling the first and second half of the stitches up on the core thread with time the tension will work itself out. Happy Tatting

We are on summer break right now but I will be having some special classes over the summer. The regular class schedule begins in September. Thank you for the complement on the nails. I grow them faster than I can cut them. So I try to make them as nice as I can. :) Happy Tatting

    This is wonderful. I took several tatting classes from Dale in Provo. He referred to you more than once. I'm working through these lessons as a refresher. Question: The Tatsy shuttle that you're suggesting beginners use with size 10 thread, how does the Tasty perform with 30 or 40 cordonette?

    • @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130
      @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130  7 років тому

      Hi Lyn Ann. you can use the tatsy on anysize of thread. The smaller the thread the more you get on the shuttle. If using a size 30 or 40 and want a one color piece you could very well tat about a 12 inch doily with no ends to hide except for the beginning of the doily. so they do hold alot. I can get nearly a whole ball of lizbeth 20 on one shuttle in the tatsy shuttles. Hope that helps you. Tell Dave I said thank you for sharing the videos but do please mention where they come from. Thank you sooo much. Happy Tatting

    1. My thread keeps twisting and kinking. How do I get this to stop? 2. My shuttle is smaller than yours but I feel like I don't have enough space. I do have small hands, though. Any suggestions on how to work around this? I am quite frustrated. I envy how you (and others) can work so quickly, especially when you have larger shuttles.

    • @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130
      @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130  7 років тому +1

      Hi Robyn. If you drop your shuttle every once in awhile it will take the twist out and slow down the twisting in the thread. I tend to drop my shuttle before I close a ring every time. I drop it about every 3 to 4 chains. It does help. if you need more space to work you will have to open up your hand a little more where the loom is on the left hand. the main part to open up is where your doing the work at. I hope this helps you and if you have any other questions just ask away. Thank you so much for watching. I will say though with practice all these problems your having does go away. So keep working you will get there. Happy Tatting

    Do you use two threads when tatting or just one thread like in needle tatting

    • @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130
      @georgiaseitzonlinebeginnin9130  6 років тому +1

      Hi Sarah. Sorry for it taking so long to get back to you. I have recently bought a house and moved my elderly mother in with me. It has been a challenge to say the least. I don't advise anyone moving 2 households into one household at the same time. Too much work. LOL. Anyway on to your question. You can use 2 threads or one it is your choice. When shuttle tatting you can use a ball and shuttle, 2 shuttles, however you want as long as your comfortable with the choice. I hope this helps and again sorry it has taken so long. Happy tatting.
