I absolutely loved build quality of Vento / Rapid - did a test drive, however I have been hearing about new models of them coming up in 2021. Do you know anything about it ? I am considering Verna SX also but I am not sure if the safety is similar. Would you advice me to wait for the new Vento ? or is Verna decent as well ? I am not an enthusiast, I am just looking for a safe sedan with good build quality.

I remember going to the MG showroom and checking out hector plus. While I was enquiring about the side door beam, the sales person simply said that we can't reveal such information and simply gave reference of MG ZS EV as a 5 star while at the same time didn't mentioned about the hector NCAP rating. It was so clear that chinese owned brands like MG are just targeting Indian market with sheer feature loaded cars while build quality and engine are always below average. I was shocked during the test drive of Hector plus, because on paper the engine was massively powerful, but on road it was grunting with pain. Really appreciate your introductory part of the video where you showed the skeletal of the car, it clearly shows all pillars. Coming to the vento's performance, I own a 2017 highline plus TDI, and its a gem. Thanks for the detailed review paaji.. As always tussi chha gaye👍
Opposite happened with me- I went to VW dealership and sales executive was demonstrating the build quality by slamming the doors of Vento and there was even a Polo depicting the body structure, he even explained us that the front bumper bar can’t be broken even if it collided with a truck. I was extremely impressed 😃. Right now, we’re thinking of getting XUV300 W8 petrol manual. I’ve seen a driving enthusiast’s review on UA-cam who owned Rapid and Polo GT TSI, now he owns XUV300 petrol, he claims that it is better than GT TSI.

I purchased my first car- highline Vento 1.0 TSI MT in 2020 Aug after extensive test driving of all available 25+ other cars and SUVs in India over a period of one and half years. From maruti dzire to Mercedes Benz CLA and C class.. Only Benz gave same high speed stability and confidence as a vento. Rapid felt a little cheap inside esp steering wheel, seats and plastics.
Sunderdeep ji, mujhe on road, 10.70 lakhs ki mil rahi hai Vento Highline. Le loon ya aur discount possible hai? Also, clutch problem to nahin karega in Delhi city traffic kyonki wo hard hai? Mileage kitni expected hai Delhi mein iski?
I was a big fan of City but after doing some test drives and seeing thousands videos' and reviews - I am considering upcoming Vento....What are your views about the new Vento 2021 or Skoda Kushaq?
Yes, prefer Kushaq or Taigun please. They won't have high ground clearance so there won't be bodyroll & since these SUVs will sell better, they will hold better resale value.
Yes, Vento has the German build quality. But it is my personal opinion that Vento's design can't be described as timeless vis a vis Polo. For a sedan it looks really bland and needs an agressive makeover. Just like how Polo is a brand in the hatchback space, in sedans Honda City has made a brand out of itself. It's naturally aspirated engine is really fun to drive. My friend has the previous gen City and it drives fabulously. Pure pleasure. Also, after the New City's launch, Honda is still selling the top 2 trims of old City at a very good discount. Has cruise control too. It is preferrable compared to Vento imo. Although Vento with the TSI engine is incredible to drive, the pricing of City is lower than Vento and there is no turbo lag which makes it a tiny bit more interesting compared to Vento. In Mexico, VW Virtus sedan has been launched based on facelifted Polo's design. It is more aggressive in the front headlights and taillights design. That can make Vento look distinct compared to City and Verna in India if launched here
Completely agree with you bro. Vento design is too bland compared to others in the segment. Good news is VW is planning a major upgrade in design by launching Virtus equivalent model as Vento in late 2021. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
@@anishskaria If they are planning to do that, it is great news. Because they really need to upgrade their lineup asap before i20 turbo and Altroz turbo variants eat into their Polo's share and other sedans swallow the market share of Vento. Ideally they should have got the updated lineup ready for BS6 launches

Hii, really love your videos sir, but can you tell me any default or flaw in the Hyundai Verna, as compared to the competition, Either Crdi or VTVT petrol, I think it's leaps and bounds much better than This Old Vento.
Verna's build quality is the culprit here, I would never trust it's build. If i20 Elite & Seltos scored only 3 stars that simply means, Verna is in the same league. Moreover, there are brake failure issues by Creta owners so kinda fear investing in any Hyundai car. Their paint Quality isn't good either, lose shine in 2 years itself.
Bro, as a driver yes. But 4 persons nal problem aa sakti hai. If you drive with one passenger only most of the times, then Polo is ok, otherwise prefer Rapid/Vento or Altroz please for good rear space.
Sir the reason there is no support in engine underneath is because its a safety feature, when a car met with collision the latches underneath automatically get removes thus engine not go inside the cabin..
@@SunderdeepSingh no not at all sir... Today, cars are designed to reduce force through energy absorption while separating passengers from objects that can injure them. In crash tests, a vehicle’s engine should collapse while the cab stays straight enough for the door to still operate, and the passengers inside move only a few inches, shielded by the seatbelt and airbag.

if i ask you a suggestion whether to go for skoda rapid onyx variant or vw vento which one would you suggest considering all the factors and both are tsi engines
Skoda looks more sporty so it all depends on your choice. I like both tbh and moght choose vw because in Ludhiana, VW Lally Motors have good reputation. Cars basically are same.
Hi brother i want to buy a second hand car confused between Ford Figo and vw Polo...my issue is Polo offers low horse power than Figo and space.... Kindly give your opinion....I don't have a budget for tsi
Horsepower are just numbers it s how the power is delivered and holds on to rev. Figo is no doubt a great car but cant match up to polo drivability and dynamics
If you are in the budget for Polo MPI, ignore it and go for Figo without a second thought. Huge difference in performance between Figo and Polo MPI. Test drive them both one after the other and you can instantly feel the difference. Don't make the mistake of buying a used Polo MPI, you will regret it
If you can stretch your budget for polo highline model then definitely go for it, else ford is definitely the better choice in an overall package.. But never go for MPI.. its the worst engine VW has ever produced
I thought you will mention or bring out some really special points about Vento which would specifically point towards the vento's build quality. To be honest you kind of just read out its brochure and did a walk around. I do believe that VW cars are well built but they lack a lot in terms of features and after sales service issues. Anyways keep up the good work bro.
The only problem is with the size, the design edges and some features. I have City, Verna, Elantra, Civic, Compass in mind. Pls suggest which one will be a good option for a combi of looks, engine and drivability. i can compromise on the features.

@@SunderdeepSingh Thanks bro, I seen all the videos about VW service cost etc. Initially i was about to purchase Polo TSI highline plus. But yesterday went to see Honda Jazz and loved the space and other features. Also altroz as well.
@@abhi28kumar Bro ek bar Jazz aur Polo TSI chala ke zarur dekhna, high speed pe turn le k dekhna, brake mar k dekhna. You will understand Honda fall short here.
Do take test ride of both TSI & Jazz, check stability on high speed, check cornering, check braking on little high speed. Do have 4 persons on board. Jazz fall short as a driver's car. If space is a priority, go for Rapid/Vento or Jazz/Altroz
While I accept in terms of metal, power and paint, I can't agree on few things. Example Cruise Control is there on honda city too. Since many many years.
I have a 2022 Vento 1.0 TSI Highline Plus AT. Till date, not a single issue and quite affordable cost of ownership. I think their reputation from their early days of being expensive to maintain do them a lot of injustice even today.
Under engine protection missing is deliberate and to boost safety. In a frontal collision, the engine goes down rather than crashing into the cabin and crushing the driver's legs. This is a huge factor behind VWs record of extremely low fatalities to the vehicle's occupants. Even when you go and ask the VW service centre to install an engine protection plate, they will advise you not to install one; only if you insist they will. Anyway, the car is fabulous to own and drive. I have a Vento Highline Plus 1.6 AT (2011) and I think even in the year 2020, no sedan matches its performance and ownership. I'm saying this after driving various latest sedans across different manufacturers.
I would also like to add the centre rib through which the shaft passes in the passenger's cabin is also a great safety feature. It provides great rigidity, strength to the structure. Even though it eats into the leg space of the 5th passenger sitting in the middle, but I guess it's always better to be safe and sound than in a wheelchair. High-speed stability is amazing! On one of my long-distance trips, I gave the steering to my wife and was a bit apprehensive but she settled into the car and was easily cruising at 120 km/h on empty stretches. Highway driving is a breeze on this car. Cabin sound sealing quality is unmatched across segments. Nobody gives you such superior and quiet cabins in this segment. The heavy doors are a real godsend.

Gr8 choice sir. The car you had earlier was simply unmatchable. I also own one and knows what its feels like to drive a t jet. You made a great decision going with vento though sir rapid onyx will fits into your budget and will also ne a bit more modern than vento

Superb car vw makes solid cars but needs to get more features and new cars .I am driving the mentioned car since 3 years super happy. No comparisons with ciaz and verna ,really nice car.
Well said Doctor.
Possitive points are super ride quality , build quality , stability
negative points in VW are , expensive spare parts and maintenance cost ...VW not solved ABS sensor issue till date , during rainy season , ABS sensor is going frequently , forced to spend 4500 rs per sensor ...
Sir I am middle class guy and stretching my budget to Vento...I can manage annual maintenance but part replacment cost sounds very costly for me after extended warranty period...do you suggest me this or I am planning Nexon otherwise

Have been a avid user of Hyundai as well as Volkswagen Vento
There is no match for the VW
It’s sheer German
It’s a drivers car
It shoots like a fire
Ultra responsive steering and acceleration
It’s true when they said it’s built like a tank
Honda city Hyundai Verna Maruti Ciaz
These can’t even come close to the safety provided by the Vento
I simply love it

Hi sunderdeep ji. I have a question. I am buying a car. Confused between two cars. First one is 2022 vento highline plus 1.0 TSI AT driven 28k for 12.7 lacs. Second option is new kushaq 1.0 AT Ambition for 17 lacs.
Please suggest which one i should go for?
Thanks in advance.
Sir, Verna with 6 airbags variant or City ZX 5th Generation will definitely serve your purpose if you need a car right now.
@@SunderdeepSingh Thank you ! :)

@sudeep, Planning to buy skoda rapid, how is it ?
Equally good as Vento. Both cars are same.
@@SunderdeepSingh thanks that answers my question.
I have vento tsi 2011 petrol 1.6 and u believe its totally a rocket and fun to drive , even I can’t expect this kind or reliability , toughness and smoothness form any other car maker and this car doesn’t not create any issue since I bought it. The vw engine oil is just like desi ghee after running car 15,000 km it remains same as a new. Only Volkwagen can make a these kind of cars.

Would ground clearance be a problem offroads?
It definitely isn't for off roading but enough GC to tackle all bad roads

Yes, prefer Kushaq or Taigun please. They won't have high ground clearance so there won't be bodyroll & since these SUVs will sell better, they will hold better resale value.
@@SunderdeepSingh Thanks much
Yes, Vento has the German build quality.
Rapid has a timeless design
Veere 2010 model 62,000 run vento leni chahiye ki nahi ?
Sir, how’re the headlamps (both high and low beams) on highways? How does it handle oncoming traffic at night, that is, if the cars coming from opposite use powerful high beams, are you blinded by them or you can see the road in front of you? Please explain it.

Around 14 in City, 18 on highway
@Sunderdeep Ji , Do you also felt that while reversing the vento (1.0) , there is no grunt in it ? Like even if a small brick/bump comes underneath, the car has almost no power to surpass it; because the RPM is almost near to nill while reversing and being a turbo, it is already not delivering anything there.
The car takes two three jerks or a strong rev before it can actually come over the obstacle neatly. ? Please answer the same. Facing it since a while , I guess I am not the only one.

Sir the reason there is no support in engine underneath is because its a safety feature, when a car met with collision the latches underneath automatically get removes thus engine not go inside the cabin..
My T-Roc has an Engine Undercover, most premium cars have it. Does it make them unsafe?
@@SunderdeepSingh no not at all sir...
Today, cars are designed to reduce force through energy absorption while separating passengers from objects that can injure them. In crash tests, a vehicle’s engine should collapse while the cab stays straight enough for the door to still operate, and the passengers inside move only a few inches, shielded by the seatbelt and airbag.

Go for Figo
If you are in the budget for Polo MPI, ignore it and go for Figo without a second thought. Huge difference in performance between Figo and Polo MPI. Test drive them both one after the other and you can instantly feel the difference. Don't make the mistake of buying a used Polo MPI, you will regret it
If you can stretch your budget for polo highline model then definitely go for it, else ford is definitely the better choice in an overall package.. But never go for MPI.. its the worst engine VW has ever produced

Vento does have but only auto height adjustment and no on off.
I thought you will mention or bring out some really special points about Vento which would specifically point towards the vento's build quality. Bhai meri wali vento me 2011 model me only tilt stearing hai 1.6 highline petrol me
Hi there is it possible to get a vento last lot car either auto or manual
I have a 2022 Vento 1.0 TSI Highline Plus AT. Till date, not a single issue and quite affordable cost of ownership. I think their reputation from their early days of being expensive to maintain do them a lot of injustice even today.
Connected cars feature is now available in polo GT and vento highline . It's plug and play by connecting that part with obd board
Yeah, it got launched couple of days back.
That makes great sense
