Ill Bill and Necro were in a death metal band at one point in time, Necro was the guitarist and Ill Bill was the bassist/vocalist, the band was called Injustice and you can find the demos here on UA-cam. MC Bushpig is known for his involvement in the Australian and New Zealand metal scenes, he was/is the vocalist of a New Zealand based death grind band. Bushpig is also known for his modern sound containing a shit load of electronic and psychedelic elements, honestly, he is worth his own video discussing him, there's a massive rabbithole you can go down.

I definitely recommend Moor Mother with her album Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes. Not only does Justin Broadrick feature on the track "After Images" but the album itself is a mixture of hip-hop, free jazz, industrial and dark ambient, topped with Moor Mother's off kilter rapping that borders on spoken word sometimes with how disjointed it is

I love Moor Mother. It's the most original I've heard in almost a decade. I find it almost psychedelic. Artists like Clipping and Clouddead are also really good in a similar way. About 20 years ago a duo named New Kingdom put out a couple albums that also had that thick and swirling sound. I thought they were great but I guess they didn't sell because two albums and they were gone. But I bet they're in Moor Mothers collection.

Liquid Swords is a banger top to bottom. It has a ton of references to old school samurai movies like Shogun Assaasin and Shaolin vs Lama.
As for personnel, it's basically a Wu Tang Clan album, and has everyone on it in some capacity. So if you enjoy Investigative Reports, you'll probably also enjoy other albums like 36 Chambers and The W

I think people often deny that hip-hop is diverse as metal. You're right. I found several metalheads who were in horrorcore's viewships. Industrial/experimental hip hop mostly appealed to "noise" or industrial fans. Hip-hop enthusiasts know their stuffs. Hip-hop isn't all about money, $ex or being a gangster. It's very diverse in themes and even can be more political than you imagine. And there are also different ranges of vocalizations in rapping. Every Hip-hop enthusiast would be really stressful to argue with cause they know their stuffs 😂

    - onyx - all we got iz us (one of the grimiest rap albums ever)
    - moodie black - nausea (very harsh but melodic beats. underrated classic)
    - ghostemane - blackmage (his best mixtape in terms of horrorcore)
    - zonal (formerly techno animal) & moor mother - wrecked (underrated release. perfect production)
    - sematary - rainbow bridge 3 (similar to death grips it takes a while to get through the harshness, but when it happens it's damn catchy)
    - rozz dyliams - henwell & brokaw (underground trap album. at times witch messed up lyrics & subject matter)
    - $uicideboy$ - eternal grey (probably their best release. also in terms of showing their variety)
    - cypress hill - iii - temple of boom (their best and also darkest album)
    - killah priest - heavy mental (best wu tang affiliate album with exceptional lyricism)
    - company flow - funcrusher plus (probably the best underground rap album ever)
    - gang starr - moment of truth (for anyone who likes clear & concise lyrics and great production)
    - ice cube - the predator (westcoast classic. perfect balance between aggression and socially conscious lyrics)

you should check mobb deep and souls of mischief if you like those artists, as well as a tribe called quest, theyre probably my favorite hip hop group! some albums I would recommend:
Ashes to Ashes...Dust to Dust - Tommy Wright III
Oblivion Access - Lil Ugly Mane
U kno the Sko - Lil Sko
All Screwed Up, Vol. 2 - DJ Screw
    Endtroducing... - DJ Shadow (instrumental)
Some Rap Songs - Earl Sweatshirt
Orpheus and the Sirens - Hermit & the Recluse AKA Ka
    SKIN - Ho99o9
Skinny But Dangerous - Kingpin Skinny Pimp
    Pray for Haiti - Mach-Hommy
Pray for Paris - Westside Gunn
Kiss the Ring - Rome Streetz
Poorboy - MedSlaus (Slauson Malone and Medhane)
Brass - Moor Mother and Billy Woods
    Tapefuck - NAH (instrumental)
    Trick Dice -Nickelus F
    A Quiet Farewell 2016-2018 - Slauson Malone (Instrumental/musique concrete)
666 Central Ave. - They Hate Change
Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds - Vegyn (Instrumental)
and of course, literally anything by MF DOOM, despite whether thats for metal fans, he is essential.
some honourable mentions that im not as sure everyone will like but wanna get out there would be Without Warning by 21 Savage and offset for anyone wanting a dark atmospheric trap experience, as well I would recommend Poison Ivy by Yung Lean where there seems to be a bit of Dungeon Synth inspiration sprinkled in though lacking in lyricism, also check Scorn's Discography, going from Industrial metal to trip hop and illbient as well as adjacent sounds
speaking of adjacent sounds I definitely recommend R&B like Frank Ocean and Liv.e though these arent for the metalheads if you happen to like a good chunk of this list I dont really see you having a problem with these artists. Sorry for the extensive comment. Great Video!

Great picks. I definitely could see some metal fans enjoying some projects from the Griselda label. The production at times can be pretty grimy and the subject matter in the lyrics adds to this feeling even further. Some projects I recommend from them are:

Dalek made an album with the mighty Krautrockers Faust who you were talking about a couple videos ago. You've got to be pretty extraordinary to get the Faust seal of approval. My own personal favorite rapper - along with Kool Keith - is Paris. His flow rivals Rakkim and he's also savagely political which we need in this day and age. Compared to 'Cop Killer' is like a comparison between grafitti and a PHD thesis. He's an honest to God Black Panther who are more needed now than they ever were.

I remember in one of your videos about your problem with the reviewing community, you said a very very importang thing about the fact that all they care about is reviewing what's coming right now and they are so obsessed with it. which is a very good point to know, unlike you, you're actually reviewing and presenting so many great albums and artists that are already HERE which is exactly like treasure, and you are sharing this treasure with us.

I would add Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back. Kerry King from Slayer played on the track She Watch Channel Zero which was essentially the invention of rap metal, later solidified with Public Enemy/Anthrax collab on Bring the Noise. Also Ice -T - O.G. Original Gangster. This album featured the debut of Ice-T's metal band Body Count. Home of the Body Bag samples Guns n Roses, The Tower samples the theme from Halloween, Midnight samples Black Sabbath, and Pulse of the Rhyme is full of horror movie references. These albums were absolutely embraced by metal-heads back in the day.

This is awesome. I love all these artists! Where I'm from (Australia) the metal scene and rap scene dont really get along ( I'm sure it's same elsewhere) but when I was 15 the only rap I knew was icp and I had a friend who was a juggalo and produced hip hop. He showed me artists like Ill Bill, Necro, La coka nostra, vinnie paz, and many others. Now, I'm just as into that stuff as I am, things like burzum and Anaal Nathrakh. Every genre has the potential to be good, and all have there terrible artists/bands. I could never be a one genre man lol 😆 I know plenty of people who feel different, but to each their own, I guess. I think this video is great. Please keep up the good work

Good recs all around. I'm a huge extreme metal fan but but I'm also a hiphophead. The abrasive and edgy nature of the Marshall Matters LP got me into it when I was like 12. Besides these more industrial/abrasive artists you mentioned. I think the 90s gritty east coast sound of Hip Hop can also be something to look into. For example, the Infamous by Mobb Deep. It's more traditional boom bap, however the beats are very sinister/gritty/gloomy and the lyrics are just as hardcore and real as it gets from two guys growing up in Queens, NY.

Ghosteman really helped me get into Black Metal and Noise music about 6 years ago. I grew up listening to mainly rap and Ghostemane really helped me got into the noisey, raw and harsh atmosphere that I’m into today. His Black Metal band Badder-Meinhof is pretty great as well! After getting into Black Metal it was fun to go back and recognize all the things he references. His song Trench Coat name dropping darkthrone “bumping Darkthrone out my Audi A4” The song Euronymous and all the lyrical content and also sampling news coverage of the church burnings in the 90s. On his latest release ANTI-ICON with the song Melancholic’s intro sounding very reminiscent of Burzum’s song Heljarmyrkr and the end of the song playing a piano cover of Freezing Moon by Mayhem. There are many many more examples! The other thing that helped me get into, appreciate and find new metal was this channel! I found you a few years ago by accident and I’ve been watching every video since!!

Based list, Wyatt sir mister :) Rap can be just as grimmy, bleak and visceral as metal and other types of crushing-sounding music. I guess I like to mention some of my " harsh " rap favs for anyone who wants more to check out:
Food for Animals - Scavenger (experimental hip hop with tons of noisy, distorted brain tickling texturized production, Similar to the crunchiest stuff by Autechre.)
Non-Phixion - The Future Is Now (I vaguely remember this album to be quite similar to the style of MF Doom if I try to pin-point a reference but I can be wrong, but it was quite good tho. It features Ill Bill as part of the group, their logo is a direct reference to Voivod's logo and their lyrics are about futuristic apocalypse.)
Faust vs. Dalek - Derbe Respect, Alder (More Dalek awesomeness but in company of the coolest Krautrock group, Faust. If you know both of them, you know this is worth the listen. The opener is MAGNIFIQUE.)
Lil Ugly Mane in general. Explore his stuff and side projects. It is great and certainly unique.

    OLDSKOOL:
Brotha Lynch Hung-Season Of Da Siccness (the most consistent rapper in the horrorcore genre, this album is a good start to his sound)
Geto Boys- Till Death Do Us Part (they have so many gems, this one is their heaviest imo at least in their lyrical themes, theyre kinda like one of the pioneers of what we could consider today as ''horrorcore'')
Def Squad- El Niño (not much else to say, real good and redman from wu-tang clan is on this one)
Beastie Boys- Paul's Boutique (a classic if nothing else, dare i say if it wasn't for them punk hardcore, nu metal and all those other genres wouldn't even be the same today)
Fat Pat- Ghetto Dreams (another heavy hitter from the houston texas area, and another artist that sadly got his life cut too short due to gun violence)
Lowdown Tha Sinista- Comin For Your Soul (very underrated tape from the 90's memphis scene and one of the most depressing listenings in the genre considering the backstory of the artist as this is his only release for a reason...)
    NUWAVE:
xxxtentacion- 17 (basic bitch pick idc, it hits hard for a reason bruh, basically this or any of the previous mixtapes of his collective Members Only before he transitioned to his emo rap phase)
Bones- TeenWitch (he has many mixtape gems, and he could be one of the first to pioneer what we could call as ''trap metal'')
City Morgue- TOXIC BOOGALOO (the most notorious duo to combine metal and the current sound of trap, i feel like this is their best project as it highlights the chaotic nature of hardcore music)
Kamiyada+ - Static Depression (also one of the earlier adopters of trap metal, has great vocals even for a debut mixtape)
Freddie Dredd- Suffer (one of main ones responsible for making phonk music go semi-viral on several social medias, its good dumb fun)
Lil Darkie- SWAMP (he doesn't take himself too seriously but i think this is his most refined album in the yell rap category)
Syringe/Sybyr- Hellhorse (everything this artist did under the name syringe is pure gold, also one that hopped on the trap metal wave before it was even popular and personally my favorite in the genre as he makes most of his beats that seemingly fits with his personally and only his, this album is a good example of that)
Apoc Krysis- On Da Lowkey (a recent addition released this year but apoc himself is a very skilled and experienced rapper producer in the soundcloud phonk scene, this debut album is a true revival of the dirty south with modern sensibilities)
Lil Ugly Mane- Mista Thug Isolation (ey eerrybody already mentioned but can u blame them? Its the culmination of everything good about retro and modern rap packed with great production by himself and sinister lyrics and wordplay)
SpaceGhostPurrp- Blackland Radio 66.6 + its sequel part 2 episode 1 ( one of the most influencial tapes for the modern day underground scene with Raider Klan be it trap metal, phonk, emo rap whatever the mixing is 'unique' to say the least as its a revival of the style of the dirty south memphis scene combined with great production by himself, just dont expect great lyrical content. The sequel Blackland Radio 66.6 Part 2: Episode 1 goes even harder on the lo-fi production to the point of feeling more like a homemade black metal album as sgp himself said he is a fan of bands like Darkthrone, Mayhem etc.)
JGRXXN- ELEMENTAL (another og top rapper and producer, he used to work with the greats like 3 6 Mafia very early on in his career and then go on to form his own collective Schemaposse. This ep features vocals from Lil Peep and Ghostmane 2 rappers who were part of his group before they really blew up after going their separate ways)
Black Kray- CRACK CLOUD$ OVER ARTS KITCHEN (bizarre, beautiful and...cloudy with a tinge of trippy vocals and more lo-fi production. Black Kray is also one that started many trends that still go on to this day with his group Goth Money)
    EXPERIMENTAL:
Cities Aviv- Come to Life (for the ppl who like the death gripses, Jpemafias this is another criminally underrated experimental rapper who basically started at the same time as all those aformentioned artists but never got the same recognition as them for whatever reason. MAN PLAYS THE HORN got some traction recently but imo Come To Life is the perfect example of a blend of everything crazy of industrial hip-hop and a perfect introduction to the artist as it might pleases some of Wyatt's viewers as one of the songs ''Know Who You Are'' was produced by fellow experimental act known as B L A C K I E)
Injury Reserve- Floss (could be also By The Time I Get To Phoenix but that would very predictable and very ''fantanocore''. Anyway these guys are dope asf as their music is anything but predictable)
M.I.A- Maya ( on the verge of being considered a mainstream artist due to a few hit singles but still too weird to get that many radio plays, this album is an example of why. Crazy swirly production and a big satire of the internet of the time, she released the album thru her own label which is why she had such creative control in the process. I feel like Maya was an inspiration for many experimental projects that came out in the last decade)
Backxwash- I LIE HERE BURIED WITH MY RINGS AND MY DRESSES (the most intense on this category, very recent addition and u can feel all the pain and malice comin thru the vocals n beats. It really feels like a crossover between Lingua Ignota, Diamanda Galás and Clipping. Speaking of clipping. they even got production credits on the song ''Blood in the Water'' so nothing to scoff at)
    INSTRUMENTAL:
S4LEM- King Night (the furthest of what could be considered rap music, the band employs several techniques of the Atlanta style trap with the use of hi-hats and 808s while combining layered synthesizers pioneering witchhouse supposedly. The soundscapes greatly impacted and influenced such artists as Black Kray and Sematary)
DJ Smokey- Evil Wayz (simply defined the sound phonk would have in the underground from that point on, grimy beats with sampled vocal chops from obscure 90's gangsta/memphis to go on a trip or to get high to. At least is the best way to describe what it sounds like)
PXSH6XD-$$$ (yep, thats the name of this tape, simply bangin footwork and off the wall beats with some guest appearances from underground rappers of the time from a producer who worked closely with the miami dade county group Metro Zu aswell as the one and only Denzel Curry who he even shared a room with for a brief period of time)
YAYAYI- self titled (i dunno man, sounds hippity hoppity experimental enough in my opinion. Combining a bunch of genres that will make ur brain go brrrrr regardless if u a metalhead or a hiphophead or whatevs head u get lol)
tried to find recommendations that weren't too prevalent in this comment section. I hope this post will help someone find new sht to vibe with

I really like Esham and his group NATAS that he did with 2 of his friends from High School. Eshams 1993 album KKKill the Fetus is a Dark and brutal album with the horrors of Life in Detroit back in the 90's, and Natas has Life after Death, Blas4Me, and Doubelievengod. Really dark rap, and Esham is known to be the Godfather of Horrorcore too. Worth a listen.

Personally, I think $uicideboy$ and Ghostemane are easy picks for metal fans. The latter has a lot of influences from black metal and occult themes in his music and lyrics. Though his latest output is more inspired by acts like Slipknot and Marylin Manson. The $uicideboy$ alone have a very dark and gritty vibe, next to they're lyrics filled with hatred, (drug) abuse, violence, etc.
Also the German act Zombiez, if you want to get into non-english territory.
Also a lot of juggalo stuff like Insane Clown Possee or Twiztid could be artists, that metal fans enjoy.
PS: I totally forgot about (Sesh) Bones!
