I have been trying this for years. I'm left handed. My sister is right handed. She tried teaching me and it failed utterly because I kept undoing what she had done. This is nice.

It just makes it more rewarding when we master it😁 One thing that does irritate me being a guitar player and a lefty, is that lefty guitars cost more and are way harder to find. Other than that, I love it

As a lefty this is the first tutorial I’ve been able to understand! It’s taking some practice but after about 30 minutes my stitches are getting straighter and more even. I’m excited to learn more :)

I've been a keen knitter for quite a while and have just taken up loom knitting (I've developed bad arthritis in my hands due to using crutches as I lost my entire left leg a couple of years ago). Unfortuantely a lot of loom knitting projects require to finish off with crochet. Being a proud Leftie, I've tried numerous times to teach myself crochet. Alas I failed miserably EVERY TIME!! My grandma taught me how to knit and now I’m teaching her how to crochet, but she is left handed and I am not. This is very helpful for me to know what it should look like the other way around!

Great job of explaining. So glad you did this left-handed. I’ve had a hard time teaching others how to crochet left-handed. The only comment I would add is that I always make a ball out of my yarn. When I have not made a ball I almost always end up with a tangled mess as the skein loosens and comes near the end.

I get you, my sewing teacher just used to tell me to go away. So unfair to left handed people. I taught myself to knit, crochet is my next challenge.
I was lucky enough to have a left hand sewing teacher at school but I knit right handed
100% helpful to my left handed 8 year old ; so much so that she made a successful little chain in about fifteen minutes while i was fixing breakfast.

It is just a complete mystery. I can now make a chain, thanks to you, but know I have a mountain to climb. I will learn by watching you, and take my time, knowing it will be a gradual process. Great job of explaining. So glad you did this left-handed. I’ve had a hard time teaching others how to crochet left-handed. The only comment I would add is that I always make a ball out of my yarn. When I have not made a ball I almost always end up with a tangled mess as the skein loosens and comes near the end.

Thank you so, so much. I was taught to knit as a child with my right hand, but I’m left-handed. I was trying to learn to crochet with my right hand as well and it was just so awkward, nothing was computing. I finally decided to try with my left hand and this video, finally I understand how it works and feel comfortable. So I guess I’ll be a right-handed knitter and a left-handed crochet-er lmao.
