Brings back lots of great memories to the actors and actresses who passed away my thoughts are with your family you may be gone but not forgotten still going strong after all these years later appreciate the memories and a good laugh the stunt men who helped Joe pesci and Daniel stern did a excellent job 2 of the best and favorite movies ever at Christmas time great job people you should be proud way to go very impressed stay safe and warm out there stay strong and healthy as well !!!! Joe
People that live near it so lucky 🍀 to have memories of Homealone I bet they are proud. Of it and I would be too specially I love Homealone 1 and 2 I would Stop by and take a picture if I see it someday…
You've made a very simple fan video from years ago, but besides the film score you've placed in the video as a soundtrack, you did a great thing by visiting and filming the house and area in the wintertime! This was the season and look of the film. That's why your capture looks very similar to the look of the area in Home Alone. You were also close to actual Home Alone filming time of February 1990! Both the film production and yourself were not filming there before or on the Christmas holidays.
Then I looked upon Google why they do that that's because of house privacy they just did that so they can have privacy But someday you to go and see it for yourself
What’s ironic is the house sold shortly after this and the current owners completely changed the front yard. Apparently they don’t like living in such an iconic landmark. The obvious question is what were they thinking when they bought this place??? It’s arguably one of THE most recognizable houses on this planet!
I have been there I go there almost every year when I go to dinner with my friends who live in Winnetka I live in the far north side of Chicago and I always take The CTA Purple Line to Lindon in Wilmette and my friend Burney would be waiting for me there and we would have dinner at his house with his wife and we of course talk about our life how's it been and everything after that they would give me their Christmas presents they got for me and we would go out to look at the holiday lights people put up on their homes it's so pretty at night but I wouldn't want to live in the suburbs because their too quiet for my taste.
@tammyvidalia most of the inside you see in the movie was not shot in the house, it was in a studio built in a high school gym in Chicago, exept for the staircase and the window behind the christmas tree..
@garywingrove the same thing happened with the Christmas Story house. If there ever comes a day when i could afford to purchase it and preserve it, I will definitely do so, but I won't hold my breath.
Home Alone was filmed in 1990. I could see the garage door changed. However, there would be some or big changes to any house, for home repair or just for the sake of renovation or re-decorating. If you look at images of the house at present time (this video here is more than five years ago), you would see that there have been more drastic changes to the house!
@@alexsdb9712 I'm sure it was changed to look differently just for the movie. In the movie it was a double bay. It could have just been an overlay. I went there right after the movie came out and it was a single bay. Of course the garage is gone now.
@@billa1870 It's possible. Perhaps a fake divider to make it even more appropriate for two cars to fit inside and not look awkward. It would most likely be that the McCallister household has two cars.
@@alexsdb9712 The one and only good shot of that is when Kevin realizes he's alone and he runs out to look to see if the cars are still there. I have photos of just about all the locations, and I have a good shot of the garage that was there before they removed it. I know it's only a movie, but one of the questions asked is who leaves their garage door open when they leave town? I worked at the community center in Winnetka less than a block from the house for two years, and it is a pretty decent neighborhood. LOL.
@@billa1870 Yes, and Mr. McCallister during their flight to France ended up realizing and admitting that foretting to close the garage was the one thing he forgot to do. It's true, it's strange to forget something such as shutting the garage before going away on a trip, but consider that the full house was chaotic and full of excitement the night before, and then the big factor that threw them off - the alarm not going off on the morning of their flight. Perhaps Mr. McCallister planned to shut the garage doors that morning but was then thrown off by the alarm situation.
@@sundown8138 Oh, I looked up the price a few years ago and it was at $2 million. It must be worth far more today given the home price inflation which occurred since then.

Lol I love how you put the Home Alone music at the beginning, my dream is to own this house one day
You can buy it if you have $1.6 million
My dreams have been crushed. It is blurred out on Google Maps and also it is permanently closed. :(
PokedexTrackerz it’s pretty different in the house anyway, I know the family and they changed it
Its so beautiful!!!!
Seeing that house come to in real life would be a real dream come true!
awesome! I love that house, and movie...then again, who doesn't right?
Love these vids love the film especially ♥️
I see they finally got rid of that darn statue that everyone kept knocking over in the driveway. ;-)
People that live near it so lucky 🍀 to have memories of Homealone I bet they are proud. Of it and I would be too specially I love Homealone 1 and 2 I would Stop by and take a picture if I see it someday…
Pretty cool, I'm hoping to visit this house next year when I'm on holidays.
awesome!! I hope to make it there one day. imagine if you lived there though haha, probably get tired of people stopping by and taking pictures
Jane Grandy yes, I don’t live there but their family friends, they’ve built a fence recently so no one can see
Awesome house. I just wish that they would not have changed the look of the inside. It almost looks like a totally different house inside.
perfect!!!

I always wanted to know what the Dad did for a living
@PetaHatingChris42 haha I hear you! I would love for that house to become a museum! I'd take a road trip all the way Texas for that!
classic!!
Visited last night at about 11:30 pm. There's a huge fence around it and a PODS storage unit. I took some crappy pictures though.
When I grow up, I'm gonna buy this house.
I give you 1 million dollars you save the rest to buy it. Then you invet it. Haha
:59 "that's funny, I thought the Murphy's went to Florida"
Does the man with the big snow shovel still live next door??? 😂

No he died like almost ten years ago.
Sadly he was murdered
😓😭 so much forgot this movie ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for upload this. For some reason Google maps blurs it out.
Nice!!
I just drove by it today.... I've lived 10 minutes from it for 10 years and only now decided to check it out.
10 years!! Wow..this movie will always be special for all those kids who grew up in 1990's
I wonder what the upstairs look like when Kevin’s mom told him to go up there the double upstairs
Only thing missing is the statue the pizza guys hits twice in the movie!!!
Big metal fence around the house now, house to the left is even more impressive
Awesome 👍
@cooleb I wouldn't by the house because it is practically a landmark. It oughta be preserved or something.
That neighborhood reminds me of the Highland Park area in Dallas, and the River Oaks, Uptown area in Houston.
JMMT7022801 it is in kenelworth Illinois
Hi I'm from Russia really want to get into this place to see this House which is reminiscent of the

has it been sold yet?
I wouldn't buy this house knowing that theres a tarantula somewhere
How did they move out that house
he record in yesterday. in jan 8 2011. published in jan 9 2011.
so nice
Notice that the garage is different from the one in the movie. I'm led to believe it was modified for the movie.

One day that will happen! Because all those pilgrims are driving the house owners nuts!
