This is one of my all time favourite movies. Always brings back memories from Christmas when younger, as every year I would watch Home Alone with out fail. Watching your video brings so much back.
I have to say, this is PERFECT and everything a film location video should be. You get to the point but there's still some humour... You show us the locations now, then as they appear in the film, followed by another modern shot so we can really appreciate it. Congrats! I've seen some very self indulgent versions of these kind of videos with more talking than actual locations so thank you pal... great stuff
@@its_galaxy2445 It's pretty dark it looked like no one was home and funnily enough there was a plumbing van a few houses down I kid you not, Aqua was the name of the company I believe. I wouldn't knock because looking at the house on google maps I saw that the owners blurred it so not a good indication lol.
Thanks for making this I can’t believe that they bricked off the back of that house AND dug a hole to make those steps to nowhere. Never would imagined.
I'm very late to the "party" of this video but far and away it is the BEST Home Alone filming locations on UA-cam. Thank you so much for putting such effort in it's complete look back. Brings so many memories of growing up watching Home Alone repeatedly at Christmas.
Thank you for this amazing video! Love it! Best Christmas film ever! So nostalgic! I was born in 1984, was 6 years old when the film came out. Now I have two kids of my own and they love it also)
I think that you do a really good job here matching the film scenes with the real scenes. Great that you managed to get access to the house back yard as well - they must get totally sick with that. Keep up the good work.
I wanna cry 😭😭 of joy of course, this is one of my favorite movies of all time, I rewatch it every year and I can't wait for the Christmas season to come, I'm so excited! Thank you for this video, it meant a lot ❤
That’s pretty awesome you got to experience this. Anyone who was born in the 80s or 90s this is always a favorite. And it’s one of my favorite movies thanks for sharing this👍🏼😎
I am 26 and just watched this movie for the first time! I loved it. I was a skeptic as to whether or not the neighbourhoods were real or “staged”. Cool to know they’re real
Very nice. I love Home Alone. Been to the Home Alone house twice. came from Sydney Australia! Then drove down to see my Packers play! I've also been to the Swimming Pool from Home Alone 2, which is in the four seasons hotel in Chicago. Only found out because we were talking about going to the Home alone House when we stayed at The Fours season. and they told my wife and I about it :)
Me n my sister loved this movie growin up on Christmas break watchin it on the floor in front of the pellet stove while our parents laid on the couch, with the Christmas tree and decorations up!!
This was really awesome!!! I appreciate your efforts in the making of this great video! There’s something about seeing the exact spots of the locations versus during the filming of the movie that intrigues me so much. You nailed it!!
When I first saw Home Alone, I was like, "why does this house look so familiar?" Turns out, I lived in the neighboring subdivision and I drove past the house all the time.
Found this video Dec 14th 22, perfect timing for Christmas 🎄! I laughed good & hard several times throughout the video! Great job by you and your cousin! Spot on work!
Nice tour, dude. Those locations are so cozy and iconic. I've watched this movie every Christmas since I was 6 and will continue to do so until my last.
John Hughes, who wrote the script for Home Alone and also wrote Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Breakfast Club, filmed parts of them at Glenbrook North High School where my mom went to high school. The famous ending to The Breakfast Club on the football field, is my mom’s high school football field. When Ferris drives up to school and you see the outside of the auditorium, that was just newly built to Glenbrook North and my mom’s class was the first to graduate in it. :)
I am watching this video from Azerbaijan. It is really a very interesting film. This film is shown in our country every New Year's Eve. I also love this movie. Every time I watch this movie, I see that the United States is very beautiful. Even in 90 years. You should be very happy to live in the United States.
The nerdiest thing i did... Was look up on Google maps on the time it takes to go from the house to O'Hare to see if it was even possible for them to catch their flight in time or not. Its also interesting that the address to the house Kevin gives in the movie, is the actual house's address.
@@ChiliKatsuRamen According to Google Maps, about 30 mins in good traffic time. They had about 45 minutes in the movie to catch their flight. Also keeping in mind that this predates all the security measures of the post 9-11 era, it may have been possible depending on how far away they were from their gate.
Wouldn't bother, it's a fictional reality where the church interior is different to the exterior and the basement stairs are fake. They can have the aiport as close or as far as they like in the movie.😂
This is awesome, I can't help feel it's a double edged sword with the McCallister house, being made famous by the films, but with the amount of fans that continuously daily visit, stand outside taking photo's, must have an affect on the house ever being sold.

Imagine the house decorated just like in the movie and available on Airbnb... Many of us would want to spend a few winter nights there !
Saddly they had to change it because it was out dated and old and wanted a new change I though the same thing till my mom told me
I think it’s on Airbnb idk I saw an article
Also could be that the interior was a stage set and not the actual house interior
