I've only ever heard this song in Home Alone. Never have I heard it play on mainstream radio. It's such a shame because to me I rate it as my favourite Christmas song just ahead of Fairytale of New York. It's got such a great message to it and the saxophone part is incredible!
It makes sense since this song was made for Home Alone 2. Given the sound of it, I originally thought this was from the 60s or 70s when I first heard it, so it was a pleasant surprise to find this was made in 1992. That said, I'm surprised this was not as big of a hit as All I Want for Christmas is You. This is a much better song.

I swear this brings me back to being about 8 years old, Christmas Eve, freshly bathed, warm PJs, watching Home Alone 2 on VHS with the whole family huddled together on the sofa... You'll never EVER be able to capture that magic again man... and that's a heartbreaking reality... but thank God we have memories

I've only ever heard this song in Home Alone. Never have I heard it play on mainstream radio. It's such a shame because to me I rate it as my favourite Christmas song just ahead of Fairytale of New York. It's got such a great message to it and the saxophone part is incredible!
It's also played in Love Actually and The Night Before.

It makes sense since this song was made for Home Alone 2. Given the sound of it, I originally thought this was from the 60s or 70s when I first heard it, so it was a pleasant surprise to find this was made in 1992.
That said, I'm surprised this was not as big of a hit as All I Want for Christmas is You. This is a much better song.
Between this and Baby Please Come Home, Ms. Darlene Love is the undisputed Queen of Christmas.
