Absolutely wonderful pedicure video. Very educational! I don’t think I could ever give myself a pedicure as good as that. No matter how flexible I got, I wouldn’t get the angle’s right.
I always just cut and file my toe nails straight across. I don’t know if I could round them. My big toes are gopher toes-they turn up a bit at the end. So I have to keep them exceedingly short or they can be uncomfortable in shoes. I’ve actually poked holes in the top of my shoes. 😂 I think the shortness is part of why I can’t round them. I’m going to try rounding, though.
I really like the little round thing that you use to get the dead skin and stuff f out of the side of the nails.

Thank you for your kind words. I don’t round them because that’s better for the nail. I round them to follow the shape of the nail bed to get them short.

I use 1 coat, always. I don't find it makes a difference using 2 so why waste the product and wait for the second coat of base coat to dry...

Like two nails one color and the others a different color. Useing 2-3 different colors. 💜🩷💜
Dazzle Dry is extremely quick drying and I don’t think it’s possible to do ombré with it. I have never tried.
@TheSalonLife What l mean is one nail like the ring finger. Or two fingers like a pointer finger and thumb the same color pink. but all the other nails are a different color, like burgundy. Would love a color list . What colors go well together. 🩷💜🩷

This is a great instructional video! Just what I needed!!! Anna you've done it again!!! Do you follow the natural shape of the tip of the toe when you shape the nails? Amazing how much the cuticle builds up versus on fingers. Personally I get a lot of build up on my big and pinky toes which I attribute to pressure from shoes. THANK YOU!!!!
Hello Judith! Thank you for your kind words! I usually follow the shape of the nail bed. And yes, more build up usually compare to hands :)) Like you said its from friction and pressure from the shoes...

Do you have any suggestion for thickening toe nails? Mine are now quite short as they were lifting, so after cutting them I have noticed how thick they are? I have started using kerasal on toes and feet nightly, some oil after each shower. To prevent fungus growing underneath, ( there isn’t any now) what can be used to help the nail to stick down? Love your videos! I find them so soothing!! ( probably because they answer so many questions I had to wait 50 years to get the answers too!) 😊
Thank you for your kind words Celine! Thickening nails and nails that are separating from the skin can be a sign of fungal infection or they can be thick from pressure from shoes. Without seeing your feet and knowing some background it's difficult to say why this is happening...

Thank you for your kind words! Yes, I use some of the Gehwol products. Some are very nice. The foam I use is 25% urea from Gehwol. I'm not too crazy about all the fragrance in some of their creams for home use but I like it as a part of the service because the smell adds to the experience. Their urea callus cream is nice. Some of the treatment oils are helpful too.

Yes, I use their foot balm with rosemay, don't like the smell too much, but I do like the cream. I recently started using their ’Fluid’ that would help for healthier nails and skin and prevent ingrown toe nails. Don't know if that's a good one yet.
This client has really nice feet and beautiful toes! I’ve never had a dry pedicure before. It seems like a foreign concept. But after watching the entire video, I think I’d like it. The feet looked fantastic when you finished.

how can dazzle dry be purchased in Europe? Or if it cannot, is there an alternative that you could recommend?
No, DD is only available in the USA. There is nothing similar to it on the market. I think it's the only fast drying, non nitrocellulose based polish on the market.

I charge 40€ for a pedicure with Dazzle Dry (21% tax is included in that price)
30€ (tax incl.) for a pedicure without Dazzle Dry.

Yes, sales tax is 21% and then income tax, minimum 20%. The VAT (value added tax) has to be included in the listed price (unlike USA and Canada where tax is added on top later. And then the tip.)
Tipping is also non existent here really. Which I actually appreciate a lot. I always found it very awkward living in Canada.

Watching now since I was on live…question…I need to assist my 93 yo Mother in law--I’m scared to do her nails and toe nails…but someone has to help her…should I get someone in to visit her at her assisted living facility? I just don’t know what to do…ugh.

There are many podiatrists that do nail care for the elderly. Some assisted living facilities have podiatrists that regularly visit the facility for this purpose.
I could not do my moms gross feet and made sure to have the podiatrist regular visits! She was also covered by medicare here in the US❤ miracle worker those people
Also she was a visiting podiatrist so no need to transport which is great for less mobile folks
My job as a pedicurist is to help people maintain the good condition and health of their feet. If there are issues I refer them to podiatrist.
I truly believe that additional training is necessary to care for feet for elderly people. Very often they have much thinner skin, their nails can be very thick and difficult to cut, add diabetes to this and it's a recipe for a disaster sometimes.

How do you exfoliate your skin of your feet?
Myself, I give my feet gentle scrub with a towel after a shower.
I use urea based cream every day.
Then I use a gentle foot file once a week.
