I just gasket sealed the inside of the crank case you pulled off. Removed my hoses and all's well. No need for welding anything just left the chrome bar on it since its not hurting anything anyway.
Mine has passed the test once, but truth be told they spent all their time on testing steering, breaks, lights, tires so they never noticed that I had removed the ERG system.
I was thinking of pulling mine off. I recently unhooked the little hose that was hanging off the end of the filter connecting to nothing just suching in air I could not see a need to keep it when it was doing nothing and well I gained 3mph after I did it and better acceleration but I cant say it that 100% as I also installed a direct coil system.
do not cut that pipe; keep it, nice and neat, there may be state inspections in the future, and they'll be looking for that; what the heck, how difficult is it to drill 2 holes on a strip of aluminum,steel,etc

You're wrong. What you removed lowers the temperature in the block cap. Take a good look at what you deleted. When the engine is idling the small hose opens the valve and lets fresh air into the cap.
Simply Delete it just run a hose from gas thank to carb put a shut off valve in between it and an fuel filter then run the one vaccume hose on top of carb to other side of carb
Can I just take the canisters and lines of by that big hose by the pair system and it'll still run? What about the home that my emissions tube cones off of? At 1:21 it's the big tube by your finger... And I know I have to plug the intake valve opposite the vacuum side. I'm not a mechanic lol. My manifold has 2 nozzles where my other bike is already done which only has a vacuum hose attached. Thanks for the help
when you said if you dont have the egr valve then you would need a blocking plate how do ik if i need to put one or not and if i do put one nd theres no need for it will ot effect the engie everytime i drive its stays revved up nd accelerates on its own also hard to start the idle is low
I try to remove EGR. I plugged the centre hole of the backing plate well completely lost all compression. remove backing plate and compression came back to 165psi. didn't think EGR would interfere with compression but it did. i have gy6 150cc 152QMI-3
Could I use a reciprocating saw to cut that piece you were mentioning using as a cover? I know they make metal cutting blades for the saw I just wanna know if it's capable of cutting that metal.
Can't you just take a Dremel and cut the silver tube that connects to the port with the reed on the left and right side and then cap it without having to remove the reed? That way all you do is cut the silver tube in two places and pop the hose and charcoal canister off and you're done. Or does it have to be welded and have the reed removed? I just got a new bike and I didn't want to go through all that extra crap like before if I could help it.
Can anyone tell me what the tube at the top of the pair system goes to? The little skinny tube right at the head and on top. Please help me with this anybody?

I removed a similar system from my 150 cc scooter some years ago and it improved a lot, but I needed to adjust the mix on the carb.
Yann Kitson do u think it will pass inspection at DMV with it removed? My braided hose has a hole in it so im thinking of removing the whole system.

Some states dont do emissions test on scooters/motorcycles. Safety inspection only here in NC.

If you don't have a welder just sandwich a thin piece of metal between the gasket and the cap, a bit of biscuit tin, soda can or something 🔧👍

How did you reroute the vaccum lines since you removed some hoses and the intake has 2 hoses

Goes to your air intake so fumes can run back through the engine and be broken down safely
