This motor removal it's a RX8 first time I ever pulled this motor I'm going to take it to have the new motor looks fairly easy as soon as I'm done with it I'll take pictures and I'll send it to you guys thank you bye
I have to put a new seal on my oilpan and remove the oil hoses (Both leak) When I dropped the oilpan I can see an opening into the gearbox. There is a seal but I don't know if this side of the gearbox is supposed to have any transmission oil or not? Thank you for doing all your great videos for the RX-8. Its helped me a lot. I'm restoring my RX-8 and seeing you do it makes it much easier. Keep up the good work!
LMAO these comments are hilarious. Okay the music wasn't great, he is using the music most likely provided by the production software, and that is the price to pay when you don't want to get sued for copy write issues. I'm sure his voice would have been hard to follow when the most of the text is in broken English, I'm sure this guy has a heavy accent a long with shop noise, the audio might have been horrible. Lastly the video quality was not the best. Sure he is probably recording with a Motorola Razor from 06 but in all if you do not have the knowledge or confidence to pull a motor of this magnitude, you're not going to get it from watching an 18 minute UA-cam video. The guy went over some pretty basic steps and pointed out good areas to be aware of while removing the motor. I'd say he did a good job and if you can do better, do me a favor and tag me in your video so I can watch.

If anyone is watching this video thinking it looks very complicated, it's because this is not at all how the engine is supposed to be removed. You drop the k frame down in one entire unit with the engine and gearbox. It comes out from the bottom of the car in half the time and very easily. The engine lifting points you see are not to lift the engine while it is in the car. Do not follow this 'how to' tutorial at all!
great video first engine removal its going great well happy . 3 hours in and over half 3 more and it will be out happy days and then the rebuild bring it on loving it

Question: The throttle body has two coolant lines connecting to it. one at 6:56 and the other one at 7:03. Were those lines connect to the engine bay?
Yes it is possible to install 4 cylinder engine in rx8 but people usually puting RB26 engine in to it. If i have to be honest what is necessary for the swap ? A lot of money ;) Starting with engine, tranny, wires, ECU... plus good welder and lots of skills.

Hi, the best is check compression before you bay and check services history , my black still was fine with 120kkm on clock , bad service history was in the red rx8 only 50kkm so check compression before an service history , best luck for you.
A redline a day keeps the engine builder away. Otherwise look for a freshly rebuilt RX8 - will cost a lot more but still not as much as buying one then having it rebuilt

I know how to remove a engine personally but most people came here to learn how, so why would you make a video titled "how to" when half the video is someone badly recording a engine part not being removed but just sitting there while shit techno music plays in the back round. This video is competely useless and was created for the sole reason of directing traffic to your "other videos" which hopefully go a little more in depth than a dude using a camcorder as a camera because he didn't know how to switch it to photo mode.

This music is mind-numbing! Why wouldn't you just leave the commentary on there so people understood what the hell was happening! It's hard enough to try and watch what's happening and watch the words on the screen. But you also made the words blue which is even harder to see! This is poorly edited and not very helpful!
Not on every 50k... If the car is well maintain it can be ok up to 150k or more. The thing is... coils, plugs wires every 30k. Good oil and service. Engine is amazing just lack of knowlege is the issue. :)

If you ask about dirty SSV ...the problem arises when the car most of the time moving in on short distances on the town.
