Long video and there is more stuff than what I mentioned, but this covers just a general overlook. Does not address if the motor is flooded.

What’s the little button called that closes the circuit?
i have a question the map sensor the small one u first pointed out innthe beginning when u open the hood where does the hose run into? mine doesn’t have it
Doesnt run to anything, just a couple inches long. Helps keep any turbulent engine bay air from hitting the sensor directly and causing weird readings, or water from splashing up into it

Which exhaust I have on the car depends on which video you are asking about. I was using an authentic Mazdaspeed exhaust with a modified turboXS mid pipe up until about a year ago. Anything within the last year is a turbo XS catback with a turbo XS mid pipe

so i just bought a 2008 and she was running great, went to start her this morning and I'm getting nothing but clicking , no ignition, seems my battery is fully charged as all the lugs are coming on bright.... would this be a starter issue or an alternator issue?, or something else?

Check your fuse box. Then check the starter. If your car ever clicks or you get nothing when you turn the key always check those two knowing the battery is charged or at least its a working one.
Fuse Box Fuses/relays to check
ST - Starter
Ignition
If all checks out but still nothing then that means something is wrong internally maybe a rat got in and went to town.
Noticed you have the TB coolant bypass mod. Any benefits?
No measural benefits. Air passes through the throttle body so quickly that it doesn't really have any measurable effect on air temperatures inside the engine. The point of having the heater go through the throttle body is to help prevent icing on the throttle body in very cold climates.
Only America has the clutch start swith and the other switch only turns off the cruise control not on.

Anyone find they have to prime oil pump to get it to start? I think this was my issue last year, but can't remember.
No such thing as that on a rx8. Priming the oil system at all has zero effect on its ability to start

The air intake comes stock from mazda like that in the rx8, it looks fancy but is oem

My 07 wasn't starting for 3 days and the immobilizer light was flashing, after 3 days of trying different things, i pulled out the battery of the remote (was loose) and put it in right, the key was recognized, and it started up. all that trouble over a bad or loose remote battery lol

@@fooball24H yeah the key fob, the original key is a remote key so when I turn it on normally I just push the clutch and turn the knob. Before I’d just use the key cuz my remote wasn’t programed but this time it wasn’t starting at all. It was literally the remote key battery..

Got an 06 Rx8 and it won’t fire. Checked the basic shit but still can’t figure it out. I’ve bought a new ecu and now it don’t try to start at all I need to program another key to it is why I know that. But still nothing explains my no spark. Plz help 😭
Once you get the key programmed if it wont start hmu via IG and i can see if i could be of any help from there

My rx8 is a 2004, I replaced all coils and plugs, new battery, still wont start. It’s getting fuel.It’s turning over, and but not catching enough to start. It sounds like it’s getting compression, and getting combustion. It’s just not starting. Any ideas?
What about the wires? And what brand coils are you using?

any help bro ? you’re extremely knowledgeable i have a rx8 with a crank no start issue it just randomly died on me on the highway 2 days after i bought it full video on my channel
1) Marvel Mystery Oil is garbage and a waste of money, one could even argue that its bad to use.
2) Dont use a non-mazda crank position sensor. Not worth the headache of a cheap part failing especially when it can cause damage.
3) dont use non-factory spark plugs. Use factory spec plugs only, same for wires and only use Mazda Revision C coils, not that b.s aftermarket garbage.
4) use a oem fuel pump, not whatever "racing" pump you used but didnt name.
5) make sure you dont have a battery or grounding issue.
6) overheating is a major concern. Your issue could be thermostat, radiator fans, cracked radiator or cracked coolant tank. Most likely the fans and the thermostat. One overheat can kill your motor. Fix that asap. bubbles in your coolant tank could suggest a blown coolant seal too. Just heads up.
7) the smoke at the start makes me think blown engine. And you cant exactly tell if the motor has compression 100% by the sound. Get a ROTARY compression test done.
8) im willing to bet your motor is toast. Low compression mixed with a blown coolant seal.
I have a 04 rx8 and I’m having ignition fuse problems where my fuse keeps blowing and my car cuts off can you help😭
You either have a wire shorting out or something is drawing too much power. Look online for a shop manual that shows everything that is powered by that fuse and check those parts and their wiring one by one.

I know it was stupid but I was able to start my car when I forgot to replace the vacuum caps after seafoam
Ive been able to start and drive my car without those caps intact before too, but definitely impacted how it ran. If you added these caps to other issues, it could absolutely cause a no-start condition

I wouldn't really be able to advise you on what would be best in your situation, too many variables. It would be best for you to reach to one of the local or Euro RX8 communities to provide them with more information.

Hey, I’m not watching this video and I’m having the same problem as you with a no crank no start.
I noticed you mentioned about a light on the dash that lights up.
I am having the same problem but that light flashes simultaneously. Could that be the mobilizer?

my 2004 Mazda Rx8 not accelerating....once i start the car and accelerate it will go above 4000rpm...but once i put it in the first gear and press the gas paddle it will rav little bit and wont go high, i press the gas all the way down but the gas wont go up....

These arent needed to start a Rx8, these are troubleshooting tips. Happens to a lot of neglected cars, most of the people checking this are new owners and trying to get things back up and running 100%
