Exactly. I waited all this time for them to release new headphones just to find out they didn’t release them in silver 😢 We want headphones that match our phones and laptops, so why they wouldn’t make them in basic colors is beyond me.

New colors, so what, I’m not interested in buying these until I see a $300 or lower. These need H2 chip, new case, durability, new design etc. Apple takes the art of doing less to an even lower standard.
Midnight is gorgeous. I don’t have $800 CAD for a new pair of cans, but if I did, I’d totally get the midnight APM to match my midnight MacBook Air.

I was in the exact same position; get type-c but not like the colour, or get the wrong port and space grey. I ultimately went with the “old” model because I got a huge price reduction. I bought a travel case that has a spot for the lightning cord too so I think I chose correctly.

I was stuck between orange and starlight but i dont regret picking starlight cuz it isn’t too too flashy and besides, starlight matches with all my clothing by the aesthetically pleasing neutral color.

I bought the Midnight color, its not a bad color at all, but I wanted a black color instead and lowkey is frustrated that they didn't just have a black or dark gray color, like sorry I kinda hate the midnight color bc of the like blue tint, but it is what it is, still great headsett.
and so that people know, the midnight looks better on the video then in person, personally. depends on the lighting but they are usually much more blue, on the video do they look really dark black

Do they connect to a MacBook via any USB-C to USB-C cable? In the previous version, a special Lighting Audio Cable was released, but now there is no such thing

No sadly the usb-c plug is only for charging. It won't be used for lossless audio.

This is what we’ve been waiting to see! Thank you. I’m pretty sure you’re the first UA-camr to unbox all 5 colours bc I’ve been checking and waiting for these videos. I just got the midnight ones delivered as well as the blue. I couldnt decide so I ordered both colours and I also have the blues in the lightning version which I just got. I’m tempted to keep 2 but I know that would be a waste of money, so I need to settle on one colour and return the other 2. Also I liked how you emphasized the matching of devices. That’s something I care about myself. I know the midnights match my m2 MacBook Air, but I never stream music from my laptop. I do have the blue iPhone 15 pro max though. I also have a green iPhone 13 mini and the green Bose quietcomfort headphones which look sick together. Also that champagne coloured beats pill looks dope as heck. Anyway the midnight is cool and all but my first impression is that it’s a little too plain. All the other colours have two tone (different shade for the headband than the ear cups) whereas the midnights are all one colour. There’s just something about the light blue that I like but at the same time I really like the midnights. I hope I don’t end up keeping 2 cuz I’ll regret it down the road….
I’m seriously disappointed that you can’t listen to music with the usb type c cable (for lossless audio). That would’ve been an easy thing to add.

I went w/ the blue, reminds me of my Cowboys home game pants, headset & case combo is 🔥, starlight a close 2nd, would have went great with my MacBook Air., blue solid with my black IPad Pro. Tough decision but like the variety, thanks for the video and showing them all!!

There are not air pods max 2 they are still the original air pods max 1,5 not max 2 those Will surely have more significant upgrades under the hood with updated chip a h2 or maybe a h3..
But when are those updates coming? Like the Max 2 with H2/H3 and all new things

I feel like starlight looks amazing but may be better suited for girls. As a guy who wants to rock them to the gym, it may be nicer to go with darker color. But then, I don’t like dark blue because I wear a lot of black clothes…black and dark blue is not the best match or is it?

Midnight looks cheap🙁, space grey was way better. Wish they come in metallic brown or burgundy purple, I would have bought them in a heartbeat.

Anyone who have the 1st gen shouldn’t buy this. I however became desperate when my first gen pretty much died. I’m not paying over $300 to get them fixed so I preordered. I use them daily so maybe if I didn’t use them so much, they would last. I’m am hoping these will last. USB C is nice but I wish mine didn’t go to shit.
You paid almost $600 for headphones that didn't even last 4 years? And then bought the same headphones again. Why? My Sony WH-1000XM3s have lasted 6 years with daily use and are still going strong.

It's incredible the hype that Apple generates, these headphones don't even deserve to be mentioned by UA-camrs, after 4 years they haven't changed the H1 chip for the 2, I'm pro Apple products but this is a shame, although it's worse to see them receive free advertising.
