Yep, I drive a 2006 Land Cruiser LC3, it’s by far the most durable, reliable, well built vehicle I’ve ever owned. 200k on the clock and it runs as smoothly as ever. Apparently Toyota knew they were building a vehicle that was going to last, which is why they deliberately gave them a timeless design that would not become outdated-looking. The great thing is, on those rare occasions when a part needs to be replaced, you don’t mind doing it because it feels like an investment in something worthwhile.

I have owned 2 80 series 40th anniversary. The first I bought brand new and it was built far better than a Rolls. Silent while travelling, no rattles nothing. Extremely robust. I used to tow a Noelex 30 on a 6 wheel trailer across the Snowy Mountains. The Noelex was an ocean going yacht. After 400,000 k everything was original! It had just been greased and serviced. Original brake rotors, electrics, engine everything. And the doors just went click. Unfortunately the vehicle was leant and parked upside down after being barrel rolled down the road after several loops.
