With the new Battlefront 2 game coming out, I hope it brings a more immersive story and multiplayer gameplay, battlefront 1 had good graphics but didn't have much in it, I just want there to be all the vehicles that were in the original Bf1 and Bf2, that would be awesome and maybe even some from the new movies!

And, the ability to choose which factions war against each other: such as the Empire vs the Republic. I realize that's a lot to ask from EA, but still.
Tiger 1020 The Prequal Era content is more likely to be rather lacking. Expect 4 prequal planets at the *MOST* and about the same ammount if not less machines than the OT era. And even if they improvise TFA era has jack shit in terms of content so thankfully the prequal Era is gonna be more varied.

Geonosis is also likely. And than Kashyyyk or Corucant. I doubt Mygeeto, Salucami, Jabiim, Felucia, and Utapau being secondary planets won't be added. And there most likely will be the same or less machines if they are aiming for era to era balanceing. AT TE tank, BARC Speeder, AT PT, and AT RT would most likely be ground vehicles while the ARC 170, V Wing, Gunship, and Y wing bomber being the main ships. (Unless they get creative and add the Torrents and Z-95s(Z-Wing). Juggernaut would be awesome too but most likely not gonna happen. Personally I'm expecting less planets, and the same ammount of playable machines. They already have so many good OT and Shitty TFA planets that the pequals having more than 4 planets is unlikely due to all the work that would go into a single set of planet maps.

What about Skirmish mode, like the old school Battlefronts? Just being able to set a map and time period and go ham? That's really what made the game so amazing. Any news on that ?

CD 2409 I know it hurts a team so much if "Neville brown" the kid who's grandma gave him it for Christmas gets it and forgets to block as Luke rather then a good player getting it and using it to push up with the team
I'd also like to point out that DICE should rename the game to Battlefront Battlefield edition because I think that's what it's gonna feel like, not that Battlefield is a bad game but it's just gonna feel it since I've played battlefield for a while.

lego imperial scout trooper ...no it's really not, no classes, no "levelution" the star card system was in it, vehicles were a pick up, most heavy weapons were a pick up. Plus there was walker assault and the closest battlefield has to that is that aircraft carrier assault mode in BF 4...or 3 So basically no, no it's not, it's nowhere near, the new one is more of a battlefield clone, or wit will feel like it anyways.

That would be cool, but I doubt it. You cant even go to the hanger and get in a fighter or other vehicle. And I doubt they're going to let you fly into and board enemy ships in space like the original swbf 2. But I hope I'm wrong.

Star Wars Battlefront is like the Super Smash Bros of Star Wars, the only series where you can just put everything in it and it doesn't feel out of place or weird.
Would be cool if they had a scenario mode where they do non canon fights. Droids vs first order Clones vs storm troopers Storm troopers vs clones etc etc
Nice to see that it seems like they're going for an almost battlefield vibe with the classes, hope they include some of the huge battles across the series (Yavin 4, kashyyk, battle of geonosis, ect.)

One of my fav things about original bf2 was all the maps they didn't have to put in. i mean that by how small of a scene with felucia was in the movie but they made it a full map with the giant mantis things and turned out to be one of the best. i hope we experience the same generosity and experimentation for the new one
Original SWBF2 had more than a dozen maps, I'll name them off from memory! Endor, Hoth, Mustafar, Utapua, Geonoisis, Jedi Temple (Coruscant), Naboo, Polis Masa, Mos Eisley, Dagohba, Jabbas Palace, Felucia, Yavin 4, Kamino, Kashyyyk, Death Star, and Mygeeto. I think I named all of them, not counting the space maps. Dice seriously needs to have at least as many maps as the original did!
Yeah it shouldn't be hard for dice just to add vehicles like in battlefield 3/4 etc. What's the point in getting a high kill spree and then having to abandon your post and get into a vehicle? Just to get more kills like you were already doing without the vehicle?
cross era play would be interesting, if im not mistaken the original Battlefront 2 had two campaigns missions that had Droids vs StormTroopers and Clones vs Stormtroopers on Kamino. i would not be upset about that.
Nightmare Dancer yes. You played as stormtoopers fighting droids on the mustafar base to finally end them. Then the clones vs storm trooper was the mission where they were cloning the clones again and programming them against the empire. Very fun missions and would love to see them again.
oh yeah its freaking great, actually may play it here in a few as im writing this, but like ShadyGMA said above my first run was my PS2. Alas the poor thing gave up the ghost and died so i got it on steam. Guess thats why i miss the cutscenes lol.

Justin L9 that's how the originals were, example, you could get into a snow speeder and from the moment your character entered the cockpit you could take off and go do whatever. I don't see why they don't put that mechanic in the new series seeing how well they do it in games like the battlefield series, the concept of reducing spawn camping for vehicles is pointless seeing how it's to me at least easier to camp out waiting for a vehicle pick up to spawn, this game is going to be amazing, that's clear, but unfortunately it will still despite everyone's efforts never be as good as the originals, at this point they should just remaster, reskin, and resell the original 2

Rebels with tanks is not "Breakign canon"..... The frigin BATTLEFRONT Twilight company novel mentioned rebel hover tanks in the first chapter. It wont make sense on maps based on the battles in the movies, true but maps that arent based on a specific battle from them ovies? why the hell not? Tatooine, Jakku, the new planet, any "prequel" planets that can easily also be fought on in the OT era, like Naboo, all can have Rebel hover tanks or militarised speeders like what they used in the very first game.

No matter how sick this game might be, nothing will ever beat the original battlefront games... Modes like hunt, assault, galactic conquest, instant action, and a TON MORE!!!!!!!!!!!! They got everyone's favorite heroes and villains in the game. The "yes no" system to playing as a hero/villain was great. No pickup bullshit. Vehicles/air crafts were in the battle just ready to fly/drive. Depending on the map, a certain faction was ready to fight on your side or against you which made it all that more interesting. (Naboo, the rebels/clones had the gungans, the CIS had geonosisians on geonosis etc). There was a campaign (sort of). The Star Wars music that played when the fights/battle got epic. Iconic pieces like battle of the heroes or duel of the fates. I can go on for days... point is, no matter how hard they try, it'll never compare to the good old days of the REAL SWBF and SWBF2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Battlefront got so many things wrong. Originally starting out with 3 heroes and 3 villains... it's what now? 5 and 5? Still bullshit! And only the original trilogy... how can you destroy something that was so perfect and turn it into complete shit? To be honest, I have very little expectations for this new game to be good! Until I see that they got it 100% CORRECT like the original games, I have no hope for this game whatsoever. I want to see a sick campaign, instant action, hunt, assault, a yes no system for being a hero/villain, I want to play as my favorite characters, I want to play in every era, I want this to be better than the original battlefront games! Now, I know they already have some of this stuff added into the new game. But, until I see a game better than the original, I have no hope for it! GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER DICE!

The color scheme is definitely Jango's. The concept art is most likely for the clone wars era, considering the LAAT gunship, plus Obi-wans starfighter from Episode II.
I think the jump pack should be equipable for the specialist only. This would make sure that you would have possibly harder to use weapons while having a jump pack. Also I think that the jump pack should work like boba's with upgrades or variants. That way you can decide what kind of jump pack you want. I think combat rolling should be added instead of the goofy strafe roll they have currently. I think prone should return to this game, but it's unlikely. I really miss that from the first old battlefront.
Awsomemobs2000 The minecraft dude in the older Battlefront II game, jet packs could only be used by Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Jet Troopers (unique to the Republic), and Dark Troopers (unique to the Empire). I'm honestly surprised that everyone could use them in new Battlefront.
A DLC system similar to Halo 5: Guardians would be a good addition, I feel. Keeps content flowing but it's free, therefore removing all problems with splitting the player base.

in the shot with Kamino ya might notice that those guys on the bridge are not, clone troopers. if you guys remember from the second Lucas Arts battle front II in the stormtrooper campaign there is a mission where you stop the cloning processes happening on kamino , so if this art work is ment to be set in stone in any sort of way. this kinda confirms a sorta cross ERA gameplay clones V stormtroopers .

Despite the low quality graphis Battlefront 2 is NOT shit. It's still easily the best Star wars BF game and arguably the best Star wars game on console to me.
I really hope they go with a different system for changing into heroes and vehicles in the final game. The way it was described here it actually sounds worse than the pick up system imo. I would also much rather get into the vehicle like in battlefield instead of teleporting into them which is ridiculous.
Your a dumbass , they're doing what you did in the original ps2 battlefront games so if you get a high enough killstreak you get a hero and it's not a bad way of doing it because of the skill gap , if you knew your games , you would know.

Church Cybergoth well someone's triggered lol. I kind've agree with you though, for heroes it could probably work but I was referring more to the vehicles. Yes I have played the original games back in the day and in those you could hop in and out of vehicles as you please. For flying vehicles it could make sense but for land vehicles this new system would break the immersion, at least for me. Also I'm afraid that having to constantly complete mini objectives just to unlock these things would quickly get tedious and annoying but we'll have to see when more about it is known.

Because it wouldn't make sense to have a full on base, 100 metres away from an enemy base. Even in Battlefield it's stretched. It would make way more sense to spawn into a flying Tie Fighter that came from a nearby Star Destroyer instead of a scout trooper suddenly taking off in one.
Maybe just maybe you should be able to customise your character so that you could pick like colours on a custom games to like make your own legion and you could name it like (Example) 567th Star Corps with yellow markings and it would be cool if you could make custom maps (Sorry if you can if its been said just haven't been on for a while) But I got a question Star War HQ as someone that very much enjoys Star Wars like me and your other fans if you could make a legion what would it be? Like legion name, armour colour, Speciality like Sky corps stuff like that and maybe you could say it in your video at the begging, so that you could maybe ask everyone what there's would be and write in the comments? Exactly, I don't understand how they screwed that up in the new battlefront one (god it's getting hard to specify what battlefront I'm referring to). When I want a vehicle, I look for that vehicle, not some token on the ground. happy this isn't going to be a thing in the new BF2.

lego imperial scout trooper ...no it's really not, no classes, no "levelution" the star card system was in it, vehicles were a pick up, most heavy weapons were a pick up. Plus there was walker assault and the closest battlefield has to that is that aircraft carrier assault mode in BF 4...or 3

That would be cool, but I doubt it. You cant even go to the hanger and get in a fighter or other vehicle. And I doubt they're going to let you fly into and board enemy ships in space like the original swbf 2. But I hope I'm wrong.

One of my fav things about original bf2 was all the maps they didn't have to put in. i mean that by how small of a scene with felucia was in the movie but they made it a full map with the giant mantis things and turned out to be one of the best. i hope we experience the same generosity and experimentation for the new one
Original SWBF2 had more than a dozen maps, I'll name them off from memory! Endor, Hoth, Mustafar, Utapua, Geonoisis, Jedi Temple (Coruscant), Naboo, Polis Masa, Mos Eisley, Dagohba, Jabbas Palace, Felucia, Yavin 4, Kamino, Kashyyyk, Death Star, and Mygeeto. I think I named all of them, not counting the space maps. Dice seriously needs to have at least as many maps as the original did!

cross era play would be interesting, if im not mistaken the original Battlefront 2 had two campaigns missions that had Droids vs StormTroopers and Clones vs Stormtroopers on Kamino. i would not be upset about that.
Nightmare Dancer yes. You played as stormtoopers fighting droids on the mustafar base to finally end them. Then the clones vs storm trooper was the mission where they were cloning the clones again and programming them against the empire. Very fun missions and would love to see them again.

Justin L9 that's how the originals were, example, you could get into a snow speeder and from the moment your character entered the cockpit you could take off and go do whatever. I don't see why they don't put that mechanic in the new series seeing how well they do it in games like the battlefield series, the concept of reducing spawn camping for vehicles is pointless seeing how it's to me at least easier to camp out waiting for a vehicle pick up to spawn, this game is going to be amazing, that's clear, but unfortunately it will still despite everyone's efforts never be as good as the originals, at this point they should just remaster, reskin, and resell the original 2

The frigin BATTLEFRONT Twilight company novel mentioned rebel hover tanks in the first chapter. It wont make sense on maps based on the battles in the movies, true but maps that arent based on a specific battle from them ovies? why the hell not? Tatooine, Jakku, the new planet, any "prequel" planets that can easily also be fought on in the OT era, like Naboo, all can have Rebel hover tanks or militarised speeders like what they used in the very first game.

They got everyone's favorite heroes and villains in the game. The "yes no" system to playing as a hero/villain was great. No pickup bullshit. Vehicles/air crafts were in the battle just ready to fly/drive. Depending on the map, a certain faction was ready to fight on your side or against you which made it all that more interesting. (Naboo, the rebels/clones had the gungans, the CIS had geonosisians on geonosis etc).
There was a campaign (sort of).
The Star Wars music that played when the fights/battle got epic. Iconic pieces like battle of the heroes or duel of the fates.
I can go on for days... point is, no matter how hard they try, it'll never compare to the good old days of the REAL SWBF and SWBF2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Battlefront got so many things wrong. Originally starting out with 3 heroes and 3 villains... it's what now? 5 and 5? Still bullshit! And only the original trilogy... how can you destroy something that was so perfect and turn it into complete shit? To be honest, I have very little expectations for this new game to be good! Until I see that they got it 100% CORRECT like the original games, I have no hope for this game whatsoever. I want to see a sick campaign, instant action, hunt, assault, a yes no system for being a hero/villain, I want to play as my favorite characters, I want to play in every era, I want this to be better than the original battlefront games! I think the jump pack should be equipable for the specialist only. This would make sure that you would have possibly harder to use weapons while having a jump pack. Also I think that the jump pack should work like boba's with upgrades or variants. That way you can decide what kind of jump pack you want. I think combat rolling should be added instead of the goofy strafe roll they have currently. I think prone should return to this game, but it's unlikely. I really miss that from the first old battlefront.

in the shot with Kamino ya might notice that those guys on the bridge are not, clone troopers. if you guys remember from the second Lucas Arts battle front II in the stormtrooper campaign there is a mission where you stop the cloning processes happening on kamino , so if this art work is ment to be set in stone in any sort of way. this kinda confirms a sorta cross ERA gameplay clones V stormtroopers .

40 players is not enough for "massive scale battles" they need to increase it to like 65x65
20vs20 is still big and makes for some awesome gameplay but I wish they could have 32vs32 like battlefield

Rhys Nichols I think they will add bots. On the page for the Deluxe Edition, they mentioned that Rey has a "mind trick" ability. Would make sence with bots.

do you think they'll have u be able to go into enemy ships and destroy it from the inside? like he original star wars battlefront 2? i don't want star cards i want it to be like Star wars battlefront 2 where u had your main weapon side fixed amount of grenades different grenades, ammo droids and healing droids and the turrets etc. or like tanks etc are are already there and you have to go up to them and press a button to enter it, like if u agree with any of this or leave a comment of what u think. i want this to basically be like the original star wars battle front 2. also how u were saying how u wanted to play as a geonision they could do the same special game as in star wars battle front 2. like the geonsions vs clone snipers or ewoks vs storm trooper snipers. i'd also like to see conquest.

Despite the low quality graphis Battlefront 2 is NOT shit. It's still easily the best Star wars BF game and arguably the best Star wars game on console to me.
I really hope they go with a different system for changing into heroes and vehicles in the final game. The way it was described here it actually sounds worse than the pick up system imo. I would also much rather get into the vehicle like in battlefield instead of teleporting into them which is ridiculous.
Your a dumbass , they're doing what you did in the original ps2 battlefront games so if you get a high enough killstreak you get a hero and it's not a bad way of doing it because of the skill gap , if you knew your games , you would know.

KG0801 for heroes I think it's fine, but not being able to hop into a vehicle easily on the map is really turning me off from the game, and I was so hyped before all this news we got today
well it's the same as BF1 and it works perfectly there. So why shouldn't it work for Battlefront since both games are basically the same :D
Church Cybergoth well someone's triggered lol. I kind've agree with you though, for heroes it could probably work but I was referring more to the vehicles. Yes I have played the original games back in the day and in those you could hop in and out of vehicles as you please. For flying vehicles it could make sense but for land vehicles this new system would break the immersion, at least for me. Also I'm afraid that having to constantly complete mini objectives just to unlock these things would quickly get tedious and annoying but we'll have to see when more about it is known.
From the art it looks like their going to be bringing back fan favourites from the original battlefront like kamino and yavin 4

Because it wouldn't make sense to have a full on base, 100 metres away from an enemy base. Even in Battlefield it's stretched. It would make way more sense to spawn into a flying Tie Fighter that came from a nearby Star Destroyer instead of a scout trooper suddenly taking off in one.

Yes, and the only time when it works is when you spawn as a Pilot on the ships for the space battles.
Maybe just maybe you should be able to customise your character so that you could pick like colours on a custom games to like make your own legion and you could name it like (Example) 567th Star Corps with yellow markings and it would be cool if you could make custom maps (Sorry if you can if its been said just haven't been on for a while) But I got a question Star War HQ as someone that very much enjoys Star Wars like me and your other fans if you could make a legion what would it be? Like legion name, armour colour, Speciality like Sky corps stuff like that and maybe you could say it in your video at the begging, so that you could maybe ask everyone what there's would be and write in the comments? I personally think it would be very cool. May the force be with you.
I would love it if the space battles was like the old battlefront when you had to enter the enemy ship and needing to destroy the shield in order to damage the ship.

Exactly, I don't understand how they screwed that up in the new battlefront one (god it's getting hard to specify what battlefront I'm referring to). When I want a vehicle, I look for that vehicle, not some token on the ground. happy this isn't going to be a thing in the new BF2.
