Cool 😎!
0:02 I thought I was the only one that hoards Harbor Freight free stuff. LOL Quite a collection of blue LED lights. I have several and a draw full of utility knives and digital multimeters. ;-)
LOL. Nice catch. I almost never use the free coupon anymore since my inventory is full.
The hot rod is one of FFR's better kits. I have a GTM and it's a mess the way it comes, I think you found that in your research... if you'll go over the whole build in your mind until you have a grasp on the majority of what you want to do BEFORE you start it'll pay off big time. The forums are the best place to find out details before you do each part of the build. Mock up the body and do the aluminum panels, mock up the driveline, etc. and then take it apart afterwards to paint, powdercoat that way you'll save some headaches in the end. That's how the pros do it. Good Luck & Happy Building!
Thanks!
So how hot is Arizona? I went to an automotive school there 35 years ago and I remember a students car broke down in the desert and while while working on it, the soles of his shoes melted and he ended up with what looked like a one inch bead around the outside edge of sole of the shoe. Now that’s HOT.
But the summer nights were nice.
It makes you think totally different about how much cooling you need for your engine.
I am in Phoenix and thinking of building one myself. Is there anyway that I can take a look at yours in person
Try reaching out thru FB. There is a cars and coffee on 11th we could possibly meet at if my schedule permits.
Put a mini split in your garage...
A Mini Split is quite affordable. Well worth the money.
do the suspension parts satin black like the frame. That will go with any body color you pick. Maybe you should have installed AC in the garage instead of wasting money on the vet?
It's all good!
Do you need a car lift to build a kit car
No, most do not have one. But it would make life easier once you get further into the build.
Put a AC in mini split or window unit in you garage man!!!!!
How much did you end up paying for the frame? Really interested in building one!
Its a quazi turn key kit. Not sure you can buy the frame separately, but you can always ask FFR.
They are about 9900 for a stage one. That’s basically everything you need to do to build a driving chassis minus the engine transmission and rear end. You could actually buy it in two stages or all at once. The body and stage two is another 9900
@@andresullivan2933 Keep in mind you pay twice for shipping. In my case that would be $4000+ and not worth splitting up
Open the doors
Is that the first step in the book? is to mark all panels.
No, but since they are installed.....
