I assembled one for a friend. I was very impressed with the quality of the kit. We added air conditioning, power windows, hard top, windshield wipers, remote start with alarm, remote entry ( no handles ), touch screen radio, cd, blue tooth, navigation with a back up camera, hidden LED backup lights, Rockford Fosgate amp, subs and high end speakers. Turned out so nice that l forget sometimes that l assembled it. Maybe someday I can assemble one for myself. Owner went with a 351 dressed up inside and out, TCI trans and 8.8 rear end. It will move.
Don’t know how likely it is that you’ll see this, Arthur, but if you do, may I ask how long it took you to put this ride together? It sounds like a really neat ride, btw. I hope you get a chance to build one for yourself!
here in europe we can just dream about something like this... a kit car built in your driveway with a couple of buddies and a bunch of beers... enjoy your freedom fellas
18:41 Question - Aluminium to steel riveting, they are dissimilar metals and are subject to considerable galvanic corrosion being wet from rain, road grime (salted roads) and even humid hot days. Wouldn't the better choice have been zincanneal sheet and spot weld them to the frame THEN paint the frame?
A lot of people complaining about using 3 extra wrenches to build it. Finish work is up to you if you want to rattle can or put it in a booth..hell make it a rat rod.Its complete enough for me to do in my garage. Supercharged LS engine would be nice, reliable and fast as hell!
I'd find a 85 mustang donor with a carbureted roller top 302 and a 5 speed manual, light weight 225 hp stock and 300-6 with overdrive gas mileage until you stomp on it.
I love and completely agree with your list. The last quality of a Sense of Humor is my most important one as well, but unfortunately in my almost 46 years I have yet to meet someone that could match my sense of humor. I do look forward to that.
I use a rattle can on my model t all the time...with a little bit of work, you can not tell where I used it...I do not sweat rock chips or scratches...
Who said anything about money ? ? ? They said build a car with a drill, pop rivet gun and rattle can paint. The title didn't say anything about needing Money ! ! I'M PISSED ! ! !
@@boomerisadog3899 dude it's not hard. But also depends how much work you wanna do. Learn about burying shit in clear coat like racing stripes and polishing and wet sanding.
This looks like something I need to start saving money for, it'll give me something to shoot for as well as be able to say I built my own car, you wouldn't even need a big motor for a car that size and weight
Yeah that's awesome we love to have something like that lian-li pastime getting too old that is an awesome job we love your work love to watch you work
In case I was the last to know, open wheels are NOT legal in America. You MUST have fenders of a sort that prevents rocks and other debris from being thrown by the tire tread. FMCSR part 387. Thanks, JD
@Abe Adams you’re wrong. The Plymouth Prowler does have fenders in the rear and front of the vehicle. They may be small but they are there. Any vehicle without fenders is considered illegal to be driven on public roads. Although you may own one without fenders and have it in your personal collection.
4 years latter- A real benefit of these kits is the possibility of a very cheap and practical A to B vehicles by going the low hp route, AKA some of the light vehicles out of the UK using motor cycle engines. Being built for larger engines may give them a large safety buffer over the lighter vehicles when smaller engines are fitted.
Man I am just drooling to see a hopped up straight six and a manual in that. (Intake stacks on one side, pipes on the other side). A Jeep 4liter or old Dodge Slant... wait. Both of those have exhaust and intake same side. Well... still way cooler than a generic small block v8.
YOYO MA We should all be thankful that Pat hasn't yet taken to wearing a codpiece & let's just hope he doesn't try to get a quill & ink bottle into that pocket!
I once, at the end of an assembly, found a little bag with the "right" bolt and a description of how the manual was wrong. Too late. I was finished and had hammered and smashed the "wrong" bolt into submission as per the instructions. Life Lesson: Always go through everything and become comfortable with all the bits and pieces before you start blindly following the instructions. This way you will know where you are going before you go there. And you might end up using the "right" bolt...
Oh I get how you did the car. Knock a hole in the paint can with the drill bit, put the rivets inside, shake the can up, then just spray into the air and wha-la there's your car... how cool is that.
I've never thought no fenders a good idea. You might as well just paint with primer, because at least where I live, you'll be dealing with stone chips all the time.
I am building one with a weekly vlog on UA-cam right now and it is definitely not just Drill, Pop Rivets And Rattle Can. I love PowerNation but this title is a little far fetched. My channel shows the real trials and tribulations. But it is fun! LOL!
When I was about 16 years old, I witnessed the aftermath of a '33 kit going into a building (and he didn't use the door). Cruising down the blvd. something in his steering let go, threw him in a hard right, right through the front of a body shop (irony). If the driver didn't, at the last second, lie down in the bench seat, he would have been decapitated for sure.
and? if an fucking idiot builds something and doesn't align it or connect the steering and suspension properly shit will happen every single fucking time. do you understand the context of my answer my good man? it wasn't the kit car's fault,it was either the total dumbass driving it or the idiot who built it who is at fault

Please don't
How do we enter to win this thing?
How do you title a kit like that ? TY,
You guys are high
I remember when I used to watch tv shows with these guys and others, the whole show was a commercial except when they had a break for a commercial.
A drill and a rivet gun and a lot of knowledge about car building as well as a full set of every tool.
I think with an in depth how to step by step video would encourage more novice builders.

Dupli-Color customer for life. Painted my rally car interior with the stuff
i really appreciate the depth you bring to your discussions.
how did you sand the excess fibre glass , and flash mould lines , was it with a pop rivet , or the drill ??
I love the kit and I love the price, but I would have a roll bar put on it before I go out with it.
Kit comes with a roll bar but people leave it off. It bolts in or could be welded to the frame.

+Ronald Harris The Slant 6 isn't an oddball. It's a pretty generic old inline 6 engine.
300 HP go cart, fun to dream about, looks coo, fun to drive around the block but will wear you out after 50 miles.
Not true if you go with the hard top.
Wow... It is badass ! I would love to have it in my driveway !
12:42 That wrench doesn't look like my drill or rivet gun or paint can. Which is it PowerNation?
on such a wheelbarrow to dissect just a pleasure like bro

It's hard to convince someone to use a rattle can on a car they spend $30k on.
I decent paint gun is not expensive, I think it has to do with Duplicolor being a sponsor.

Yep... I want one!
You guys always find a way to disappoint me 🤦🏽♂️🧐😳🥺
COISA LINDA DE SE VER ,LINDO,LINDO,LINDO!!!
It blew my mind when I saw them man handle that engine in at first. That's a nice plastic piece for mock up though.

CAR BEAUTIFUL
thats sweet ride
I once saw a guy change an automatic transmission with only one tool and it wasn't a drill, pop riveter, or a rattle can, it was a pair of Visegrips.
I love this and I want to get one I'm sure I could build it no problem!
Drill, rivet's, rattle can and about
30 THOUSAND DOLLARS😵
I thought I was going to see a cool build video. Turns out this is just an 18 minute long commercial. DO BETTER.
That is every episode of the show. It is all product placement and advertising.
same is true with their tv shows

good video so easy to build that car
btw i would give anything to get a car like this. I love working on things, and this would take it to another level!

if you have 40-$50,000 you are all set!!
simple build..looks great
This is way cool very light
Aston Martin is made the same idea.. using a space age glue between the panels and rivets.. the car is light and stiff at the same time..
How long does it take to build
Молодцы. очень интересное занятие. классные машинки
when i seen them carry the plastic motor i was like damm there strong . 15:26

Motor looks amazing & easily moved 🤓👍🏽
This makes me so happy MERICA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Now someone make a 3-row dad wagon kit.
I would drive it like Pat nice and slow.
Build that wall 🙋
I finally figured it out Pat is the James may of America
Thank you.
426 hellephant crate engine👍🏾
Loved these as soon as they came out
Oh how i wish i could have one of these. But no point in building something i can fit in. @ 6'8" tall id never fit. But oh how pretty.
Does the assembly team come with the kit?
How do you shake a can of paint?
This is a cool ad ngl
I laughed out loud at the driver switch. Haha.
I like the rims.
Just a note for the diy crowd, even if it says no primer needed, use primer.
It's just a dream for me
I love the look of some of those but I just can't help but wonder if in an accident they'd fold up like a paper plane.
It has a really rigid frame it'll be alright plus this is no daily car
Yes I buy kit cars for safety
Do they come in right hand drive for. Australia
"Visibility is good" until the top goes on and you realize it's chopped, lol.
I would love just to cruise
ohh wow! Simple great build
I'm glad Mark Eichelberger was in this video. Great last name.
Heavens waiting, Jesus would be proud !!!!!
I wonder if it would take a straight 6
Putting a 6 on a hot rod? Is what us Australians would say is just ain't cricket

Umm yeah.
Go full on oddball and slant six it
