    Thanks man
    I've followed your instructions carefully and never let go of the front brake no matter and always kept my hand on the clutch and this saved me a few times while learning.
    what I've learned is that I should release the clutch fast so that the front fork compress and the rear tyre loses traction easily, otherwise the bike may stall or move forward if you release it slowly and this will certainly do some damage to the clutch

    This was a great video! I don’t do burnouts mainly because of tire wear, but short burns to warm my tires and to remove dirt and rocks makes sense. Lastly, thank you for mentioning the safeguards, I ride with mine on all of the time, I would hate to mess up my clutch.

  • @uppe
    @uppe 5 років тому +4

    I think it's worth mentioning that you shouldn't do it on bikes with linked front and rear brakes. For example, on your GS you cannot unlink the brakes, thus the rear brake will always be engaged and you could damage the brake disc rotor. A nice and informative video as always, well done Fast Eddie!

    • @MotoJitsu
      @MotoJitsu  5 років тому +2

      I know many professional stunt riders who do this on a GS, Chris "Teach" McNeil for example..yes it'll wear the pads out a bit more...but again, only time I really do this is when I'm drag racing...so once a month, doing a few burnouts won't be too bad. I go through rear brake pads way faster than that just because how much I practice :)

    • @uppe
      @uppe 5 років тому +1

      Who knows, maybe the pros disconnect the rear brakes :) Otherwise the tip about propping up against a wall is a good one for safe burnouts!

    • @MotoJitsu

      @Ken M & @CONCEPT DESIGNS If you can't touch the ground, you might have a bike that's too tall for you, or need some slightly taller boots---a cobbler (not the blackberry kind) can probably help you out with you existing ones, too. No such thing as too short!
