High-bread mode 😆. Awesome video and much more in depth and informative than other videos that are basically fronious commercials. Thank you for the video.
Im a little late to the video but how does it handle 1/8" 6010? I normally use miller maxstar for a 110 welder but it doesn't have enough ass for the 6010
Thanks for reaching out. The accupocket has a 6010 mode and will run up to 140 amps on battery mode and 110v. This machine has more than enough capacity. If you’re in the market for a new unit shoot me an email at Bliven.christopher@fronius.com
Hi so I have the same exact model Fronius. I need a tig torch can you help steer me in the right direction for the best torch to use? Also do I have to use the Fronius brand one or can I go with another branded torch?
Does your machine have a gas port on the back ? If not, you can use any 25 mm dinze TIG torch with a gas valve. You will run the gas line to the bottle
TTX in Atlanta uses these accupockets on Csx equipment where I work. They have a few of them mounted on golf carts for the quick weld repairs on trains. That’s how I come across fronius welders. They wouldn’t let me play with it though
I was the first person to introduce the accupocket to the Union Pacific Railroad just before I retired. All I got for that was a nice pat on the back LOL!
gord johnson New batteries are about a 1/3 of the cost of a machine. I sent you a link of an online dealer canadaweldingsupply.ca/collections/stick-welders-smaw/products/fronius-accupocket-150-battery-powered-stick-welding-machine
If you had a stick/tig version you can use a standard 25mm tig rig with an external gas line. The tig version has a gas solenoid and it comes with Fronius style consumables
gord johnson It depends on US or Canada. Here is a link to an online Canadian Partner canadaweldingsupply.ca/collections/stick-welders-smaw/products/fronius-accupocket-150-battery-powered-stick-welding-machine
Another great video and demonstration. I wish that I had the time and money to help you with them. Ask Fronius for a couple hundred bucks for a Mic and recorder. You do enough for them. Have a great day.

Chris excellent video, horrible audio. You should go back and re-baseline the audio on this video. The first part is normal and the part where you are talking is super low. Just a suggestion.

I appreciate it ! Thanks for watching
How much extension cord can this be run off of? Ive heard 300ft off of a 20amp out let at 140amps? Is this true
It’s roughly around 200-250 ft without tripping . The Transpocket is 315 ft on 110 v
Is there a Battery available to power the Fronius Trans 2200? Using mma
Look up portable Anker. It’s a portable battery pack you can pair with welding equipment. www.anker.com/anker-solix/a1790-pps?ref=homepage_2thbanner_2
I'm REALLY curious what the puff of smoke at 6:43 is.
I looked back at it and saw it …. Maybe a ghost 👻

@chris_b_liven cool I'll pass your email to our guy in the shop
Yes I own one for over 3 years now and still going strong! BTW I bought it used from Fronius of Indiana.
Roy Koch Nice 👊
Are you still liking it after these years of use?
Can you use the battery on a 240v Transteel 2200?
No.. The AP 150 doesn’t offer a port for external power
Great video! I wonder how this compares to the Micorstick one, when I looked the Fronius is 3k and the micorstick only 2k.
Thanks for watching. I haven’t seen the microstick. I’ll take a look at it today
How many hours the battery last Sir
The batteries don’t last hours … It can weld 14-16 3/32 rods in a single charge

@@chris_b_liven no there isn’t any gas port in the back. Just the charge port, but thank you! I appreciate the information!!
Any idea life expectancy of the battery’s are?
You will get about 1400 cycles before you start to see any deterioration of the battery
I have a Yamaha 2800k Inverter generator. Could I run the transpocket 180 off of it? I’ve narrowed it down to these two welders. Thanks Chris.
@@flyhigh8060 You can probably run 110v no issues with 3/32 but I wouldn’t try to push much further
@@chris_b_liven Thank you!

S4v4g3 86 That’s awesome! I’ve seen a ton of these machines on railroad maintenance sites
I was the first person to introduce the accupocket to the Union Pacific Railroad just before I retired. All I got for that was a nice pat on the back LOL!
Roy Koch Nice. Did you work for Red Ball?
Roy Koch I bet it wasn’t that nice of a pat either
How much does it cost to get machine loaded with new batteries ? Who does it in Canada ?

How to buy this item
Iam from india
What mechanism does it use to regulate amps?
From the batteries ?
@@chris_b_liven Into the circuit. It can't use a transformer like an AC welder. Or does it have a massive DC to AC inverter?
Which consumables fit the tig torches? Like 17 series or?
If you had a stick/tig version you can use a standard 25mm tig rig with an external gas line. The tig version has a gas solenoid and it comes with Fronius style consumables
MilkyCereal83 I have the transtig 210. I was interested in a stubby lens kit and not sure which stubby lens kit would work
The TT210 is WP17 style
Hi sir namaste I am India this machine price one more tell me
I’m not sure on pricing in India 🇮🇳 but Fronius does have locations
Cost of machines ?

Will it weld Aluminium I went to the link this welder cost over 5000dollars a bit pricey for me
price sir
It depends on where your from but $3,000 USD
philippines sir
Thanks very interesting , looks like it would be grate for a remote farm with only generator power
Simon Crooks Yes, this combo would be great or with an inverter. Fronius does have a 110v stick welder that only needs 2,400 watts

Thanks Kevin! I’ll put the mic and recorder on the Fronius list. Thanks for watching
Pretty dang cool!
Josh Fox Yeah buddy 👊
Thank you for the informative video. How much💰💰

Thanks!! If only I could find a way to to adjust the volume. It was a new mic and I filmed it all without sound checking. Bad idea 👎
Just had my shop buy one of these machine had the charger plugged in for hole day was wondering why it wasn’t charged battery in machine!🤔lol
Dave, so you bought a new machine and it won’t charge ?
@@chris_b_liven No I thought the charger was battery, the battery is in machine!
@@daver2214 😀 Now it makes sense
@@chris_b_liven great little machine!
@milkycereal83 honestly that's completely bad ass! Love the technology in fronius lineup!
Josh Fox heck yeah
can't hear you
Cant really hear what you say buddy...
Yup. I bought a new mic and i noticed the issue when all the filming was done :( I plan to make another one soon - Thanks for watching
Can't hear you bro
You gotta stop dude. I only have so much money. Lol. I’m actually thinking of trading my 2200 for a transpocket 180 since I mainly stick weld at work
S4v4g3 86 If you always have access to power the Transpocket 180 is perfect 👌 I’ll send you an email on Monday regarding my TP 180 in the garage 💯
MilkyCereal83 10-4
MilkyCereal83 didn’t forget about me did ya
gave up due to the audio,
Understand. I bought a new mic and had the settings way too low during filming
I can barely 👂 you!
Herbert Herbo Moore It was a new mic and my volume was way too low. Next time will be better
Way to much $$ nice welder just to high price.
If you have a need for one then it’s not so bad but for the garage definitely not
What's the price?
It depends on which country with exchange rates. In US it’s around $3,300
