We don't often get our hands on the highest end of equipment around here, and that just might be for a good reason. This week Laine, a representative from Fronius, came by to demo one of their glorious TIG machines. Before we could get into the welding Tay might have gotten just a little too excited and made a mess...
Find out how badly we embarrassed ourselves in front of the experts in this week's video! Let us know what you think of Fronius and their welders in the comments below!
DISCLAIMER: Fronius did not compensate us for this video, did not tell us what to say, nor did they give us a machine. We are just genuinely interested in their welders. (queue corporate shilling dance)
Check out Fronius if this piqued your interest:

The Fronius MIG machines really are amazing; you have steel, ally, & stainless settings, CO2, Argon, or mix settings, & thickness settings. If set-up properly it's REALLY difficult to make a bad weld.
I have known about fronius, they are top tier. The capability of its 110v is incredible. Great video
Got me a Transsteel 2200 when I decided to build my all-aluminum snowmobile trailers...VULCAN AWESOME MACHINE!!!!! Team Fronius Bro!!! Welcome aboard!
The timing on this video is perfect as i am currently in the market for a new 110/230 Tig machine. I will definately be looking into this machine, Thanks.
I have a everlast 221sti. I kick my own ass for not waiting until the upgraded interface came out. I love my welder it does everything I want and more. It was the worlds first ACDC mutiprocess mig tig stick. I had to have that tech then and 7 years ago when I purchased it I paid $2200 and could of now had not only the newer interface but a 250 amp machine for less. But I am very very happy with going everlast and I have had nothing but good things to say to anyone in the market.
Tay thanks so much for all of this information and tips and advice. Very helpful video this week. Can’t wait to see more videos and videos and more. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld on. Keep Making. God bless.
Great video !!! Thanks for sharing
Enjoyable video, thanks for sharing!
Fun demo to watch! I'am more familiar with watercooled PCs, but yeah, one leaky fitting can ruin your da(y)te! 🤪
If you run a 170A at 22V that's 3740W. I reckon you don't draw that current continously, but there has to be some badass zappy electronics in there, to deliver those peak amps right when they are needed. Here in my neck of the woods, standard outlets are rated 3520W. But that is still less than what that thing delivers.
I had the luck to start learning Tig on a Microtec and this exact Fronius, and while complex and as a begginer i was lost in all the settings, there wasnt any guessing involved, if i set it up right it worked.
I use a Fronius trans pocket stick machine mobile. For TIG welding I use Gold tungsten for just about everything also chartreuse is another that will run all metals and modes. I will be trying that next tbh
I really loved the fronius pulse mig machines.
For Tig welding i am more of a Kemppi mastertig fan.
Worked years with that combination for stainless and aluminium.
Then again i am from europe so miller machines are pretty much made from unobtanium.
Grubby mitts. Yeah, that seems pretty accurate. :D I enjoyed this video. Made me want a Fronius - even though I have never welded anything.
Fronius, Kemppi and ESAB are dominating european market. Miller and Lincoln are more catered to USA.
Very nice looks like a great piece of equipment!!!!
Damn I think I'm in love! The welding machine is pretty nice, too!😉
i noticed the two rollers in the back ground whats your thoughts on them i'm looking to get one. thanks peace
I have wanted a Fronius Machine for ever. They have been around for quit a while. they are the best in my book. I here awesome customer service as well.
That was informative. She was a jewel with the bath. You were having too much fun!
Most Welders in the USA have not heard of it. In the EU it’s standard sort of or maybe ESAB or Kempi..
As an owner of multiple fronius machines, I want to see everyone push them because they are amazing machines. However the other half of me doesn’t want everyone to want them because their prices are downright reasonable and I don’t want them to go up!
i wouldnt worry about everyone having a fronius.. most people honestly think miller and lincoln are the best lol
The more they sale the lower they should get. I would love to demo one. I think this old tony was my very first place to see one used. I am pure in it for a hobby at this point and my little 221sti everlast handles everything I need and then some. I have welded with about all big box store machines at some point. Everlast impressed me for the money.
@@jvmiller1995 definitely hard to be the value on everlast welders. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them!
Welcome to German top-notch tooling. Love your vids.👍
very proud 😊🇦🇹
I've been wanting to upgrade my older Tarmac that's rim break to electronic shifting. If the price is go any lower I think I'm going to pull the trigger
Love your channel. Really great videos . Just one little question . Why did you name your company Lift Arc? 🤷🏻♂️
I made the big mistake of demo a Fronius machine at my supplier. That same week I ended then ended up selling all my Miller equipment and purchased both Fronius I-Wave TIG and TPSi MIG machines. Be careful trying them or could end up like me, I think they are that good. On the other hand I found Fronius consumables a bit pricey but they actually do seem to last longer as well so that may be a moot point.
If Fronius pricing is in line (cheaper?!) than Miller or others, then I would go with Fronius for sure. They make very nice machines, with all the latest tech and durability. However, a Fronius machine really isn't going to do a whole lot more than something like an Everlast for most things. So if you are not welding every day or if you care about price/performance ratio, Everlast or something like that is the way to go.
Cool video , but my curiosity is peaked about what roller bender is behind or in between you and the Fronius girl ?
"If you have to ask: You cannot afford it."
My Everlast does aluminum just fine?
Fronius welder is in the post
love it
I have inappropriate things to say but im feeling classy this morning and i will keep those things to myself. The one thing i will say though is i appreciate the video and enjoyed it as well. Thanks guys.
Tay: “That’s fun!”
The coolant leak could have been so much more inappropriate.
Fronius is a great machine I wish I could afford one! In my dreams for now. Another good machine is the Kemppi Master Mig 205
dont overlook ewm tetrix
Very interesting 170 on a 120 circuit doesn’t seem plausible. But, I’m so glad I didn’t have any money on that, because I would have lost my shorts. Amazing what these welders are doing these days that’s for sure.
The thing about TIG welding is there is a whole line TIG welding from just regular carbon steel that any good decent you know TIG welder Prime what do just fine matter of fact a prime welder will do good on stainless and aluminum and all these things where you get into the high dollar ones and everything is when you're an aerospace type welding do you need to have art controls that go all the way down 25 and 8 maybe 12 amps and hold a good Ark on a very thin piece of expensive metal and that's really it is you know I mean everybody don't need a dynasty to do what they do you know if you fabricate on cars and stuff like that you really don't need that I mean unless you just want it, really the only time you really need to hide in ones like I said is when you are dealing with Specialty Metals and you need some real good Precision welding arks holding its shape and it's the whole nine yards you know to bring out you know these 2000s of an inch weld and they're so thin they're like you know it's kind of like buying a Corvette or a Ferrari you don't need it get you from A to B no different than you know a $3000 car you bought out of somebody's front yard even a $1500 car you bought out if somebody's front yard it's just the style and how you get there, that might be a different story when you're calling it that but far as getting from A to B in it, you can get from A to B in both
Should try kemppi
I love watching your videos but if I'm being 💯 then I'll say i watched your video today primarily to watch her.
Yep i hawe the same model but on europen version. And i meking may own watercooler full intigreted in fronius system :D
I just made the switch to Fronius TIG…..I agree the machine is unreal. If this video had covered everything that machine can do it would be two hours long…!!
I weld a lot of stainless and Ti tubing so I’m never in the upper ranges of the machine, but it works as long as I want to. Super happy with my decision.
We did ultimately have about 2 hours worth of footage haha, but we had to cut it down somewhere!
25:54 Someone walks into the cord a wrecks the unit?
That 210 will do the same thing if you set it up right
Didn't hear price point
Another poster said he would keep it classy. I won't after 2 martini's. 12:08. Tay, your tig control is a little premature. ....but I can also understand why.
i need to rewatch the Video, i totally missed the content...
We know nobody's watching the Wilder
I couldn't weld worth a damn with my Millermatic 250. My wife bought me a Fronius 220 & I built so much stuff like I could really weld; I couldn't believe it! My supply lines on the Miller used to get WARM when doing 1/2 aluminum. The Fronius only uses 16.8 amps on 220v. The welder & water cooler only weigh 56#. Had the welder 20 years now & it has never let me down & works like brand new. Still can't weld with other brands, but Fronius makes me a pro.
So can I book a dinner date with Laine here in the UK lol ??
Nah I don't think so
She had that affect on me too.😍😜🤣
I wanted to see her weld
What was that liquid that came out? 😂😮🤔
I see how your wanting one like kid in a candy store
I'd love a Fronius but I need my kidneys and my arms., Especially my shaky golden arm. I'll stick with Everlast. Cause I'm a poor boy.
HTP Invertig 220 will do everything that Fronius can do at half the price. And it looks cooler.
Oh yeah?! But can it even compare to a European made machine…?!
S/ lol yes actually. HTP is made in Italy.
Miller and Lincoln are garbage compared to Fronius and HTP. I grew up on Big Red and Big Blue. I honestly can't stand their BS pricing anymore.
12:07 - thank me later, also, I'm working on something for you
:D
Preferisco la ragazza alla saldatrice... 🤷😍
All I'm seeing is the corporate shill dance...and I love it.
i hate single button welders they just shit me to tears unfortunately in australia we dont dont get half the stuff you guys do in the states
