- I played kingdom hearts 1 for the first time! after falling in love with ff7, i decided more square enix games were in order. i had a blast/the weirdest time with this goofy ass game (pun intended). enjoy the video, i shall hopefully be doing more clip/edit versions of this game rather than the whole chunks of vod (although they're avaliable on twitch if you want to check them out!)
i'll be playing more kingdom hearts games on stream if you're interested :)

yeah there's definitely some big opinions over the "best" kh! it's subjective, so i'm glad i loved ur favourite game :D
I personally like 2 better but the first one was a pretty self contained and UNDERSTANDABLE story the others kind of go all over the place especially 3
Mainly the fighting system in 2 is the best imo but 1 will always have a special place in my heart
As a fan for over 10 years, it was great seeing a new person really get into the series. You have my subscription!

Looking back, the KH1 intro is easily the most disorienting and confusing opening in the whole series
When you find out that the voice actor for Sora is the kid from the Sixth Sense, things get so much deeper.

If you're worried about which order to play the games in, I believe most people would agree that just playing them in the order they came out is best. However in the collection you have they AREN'T listed in order of release. KH1 then Chain of Memories is right, but KH2 is next, THEN the 358/2 Days. Then finish off the collection with Birth by Sleep then Re:Coded. Then in the next collection (KH 2.8) play Dream Drop Distance, then the 0.2 Birth by Sleep game (don't even remember the full long-ass title myself lol), then watch the last movie on the collection, and you're pretty much ready for KH3. This is all only if you DO play the whole series lol.
Also I'm sure someone told you already or you figured it out, but don't worry about the ones that say "Final Mix", that's basically just what they called re-releases of the games with added content.
