    Thank you very much for sharing this video. I was having terrible leg paroneal muscle pain for almost 2 weeks. I tried hot pack, cold pack and pain killer medicine but didn't relieve my pain. But after I watched your video and did this message, I instantly felt relieve. My pain was gone the other day like magic without taking any pain killer medicine. Thank you so much, God bless you 💖

    Hi,
    @Rachel Richards
    thank you I found it very useful and recommend it, especially to females who do not come to massage therapists easily because of their personal commitment and shortage of time.

    I had severe peroneal tendonitis 3 years ago. And occasional the peroneal tendon right below the ankle bone gets irritated. This message really seems to help.

    I just started this new job and my legs are killing me😭 The stairs are oddly way-far apart and the building is enormous. I am in ‘good shape’ and fit, do yoga, etc but 2 days there and I’m dying! I didn’t know what this muscle was called or that my very high arches are contributing to my pain. These massages were wonderful! Adding to favs! Ty so much for explaining so well💐

      So glad it helped, Denise! It’s strange, but I find that no amount of yoga, strength training, or cardio makes stairs any easier!

    Thank you for this! I ran a half marathon on uneven surface and that tendon was killing me! How often should I do these?

    • @rachelrichardsmassage9660
      @rachelrichardsmassage9660  4 роки тому

      Congrats on the half marathon! If the injury is still acute, be very gentle and avoid massaging any area of inflammation. If it's not acute and you find this massage helpful, try to do it daily. Once the pain eases up, you can switch to every other day. Gradually decrease the frequency as the pain subsides. If the pain persists or gets worse, please see your doctor.

    This was really helpful! Could you please do an upper back self message video? My upper back is almost always tight even it I stretch it on a daily basis and have decent posture most of the time. Thanks!

    • @rachelrichardsmassage9660
      @rachelrichardsmassage9660  4 роки тому +1

      The upper back is tricky to self-massage unless you have a massage ball or tool (like a Thera Cane). Most people get upper back relief by massaging and stretching the pectorals and anterior shoulders. I have many videos on my channel showing various ways to do that. I will consider doing a self upper back massage video, perhaps using a massage ball. Thanks for the suggestion!

    • @rachelrichardsmassage9660
      @rachelrichardsmassage9660  2 роки тому +1

      Make sure the lower leg and foot are warmed up before moving the ankle and foot. All movements should be slow and controlled.

    Thank you, helps a lot. Any groin pain massage?

    • @rachelrichardsmassage9660
      @rachelrichardsmassage9660  4 роки тому

      Great! I wouldn't recommend self-massage for groin pain. It's a sensitive region with many superficial nerves, blood vessels and lymph nodes. I suggest seeing you doctor first, to rule out anything serious. If the doctor clears you for massage, find a skilled massage therapist to work with.

    I'm from India especially nearer to Puri jagannath temple , I got muscle pain in my left leg ,part of outer side half ft above ankle , due to broad jump as well as running practice, could you please suggest me what treatment I should do, in order to relief quickly, I am waiting for your suggestion....

    • @rachelrichardsmassage9660
      @rachelrichardsmassage9660  4 роки тому

      Try this self massage and see if it helps. You want to make sure your body is warmed up before every practice, and that you are taking time to stretch and cool down after. Do you have a trainer to make sure you're maintaining proper form and alignment? If not, I would suggest getting a trainer. If the pain persists, I would suggest seeing your doctor.
