Just curious as to why you would try to flash it anyway without the jailbreak? It is fairly common knowledge a jailbreak is required and the flashpro site basically has jailbreak required on just about everything you click. Also curious what they charged to do jailbreak on site as their price of 250 seems high for simply hooking it to a laptop. Anyway glad it all worked out for you..enjoy. Curious about warranty with jailbreaks being done at a dealer???
Frank B. Frank B. Frank B. Well the highlight of the jailbreak is the +47hp and traction control tune. I just needed the basic function of the flashpro of turning of sensors and removing rev limit. Doesn’t really make sense that you can’t do that without a jailbreak. And yea the price is high and you pay the same to send your ECU via mail or get a clone which is a bit higher too. There are no warranty issues with jailbreaking. Dealers charge about $400 to do it and you’ll be in a loaner too lol

@@frankb.7354 it's just save of mind, cause hondata doesn't come to every location, so Honda here will do everything for you to keep your warranty, but if you get it yourself and flash it yourself it will void it
Hi guys ik this vid is old and I’m guessing nobody’s gonna answer this but I’m having the same problem with my fk8 after trying to tune it. I’ve tried the same thing as him but mine doesn’t turn on I have a 2019 type r….thanks
@@edmundobaro9813have you tried to reflash it back to stock using the stock map? Also maybe contact hondata to see. If the ECU is completely bricked you may not get any response trying to flash it back. If it’s not, it should go through but still not flash it if that makes sense

@@JayBCtR I have but it doesn’t work and the Honda here said they cannot try to do anything if it’s after market because I tuned it with hondata
