Old and new front grill looked almost same design but new one looked better with more airflow. Great job!

Getting replaced due to front sensors going off when it rains. Only happened once or twice in 3 months but of replaced for free why not

Yes I did. I reused the old badge. Use a heat gun to take off the old one and put it on the new one or you could buy a new one for $65 lol
I thought the emblem on the 2020 front is smaller than the 2017-2019.

I have the 2020 type r and my front emblem broke...it looks like I need to buy the rear emblem for the 2017-2021 type r to use on front grill, correct?
Use the part number in the video link for the emblem. That’s the right one. I don’t think the rear and front are the same size. It’s best to go with the part number

wow the front bumper is really that easy? 4 screws and a ton of clips?
Yep… it’s literally a bunch of bracket style clips that’s why they are so delicate. Break the wrong clip/bracket and you might need a new bumper lol
@@JayBCtR guess I gotta try it. my badge got chipped by a rock and it bothers me so much. Have a replacement badge just wasn't sure how to get the bumper off but this shows me!
@@Bigbacon you don’t have to remove the bumper to replace the badge unless you are complete “OCD” the badge is held in by double sided tape and two retainer pins. Most of the time even when you remove the bumper those retainer pins don’t survive. So really the double sided tape is all you need. Just make sure it’s done in a warm environment, clean the surface area and heat up the tape side of the new badge to activate the adhesive.
Be extremely careful when heating up the badge already on the grill. The mesh part of the grill gets melted easily
Might be stupid question but um is that a 2020 type r grille on a 19 or 18? It’s a perfect fit?
It’s a 2020 grill on a 2018 type R and yes it is a perfect fit
Can this fit on a civic Si coupe ?

@@code_fk8817 yes looks like they went up in price too lol. I would recommend buying the type r badge too. It’s a little difficult to get off the right way

@@code_fk8817 yes lol they aren’t cheap. You definitely need to get the H emblem coz it’s almost impossible to remove without damaging it. As for the type R logo, you could skip for now if yours is still in good condition
the new grille comes with the two side pieces ? or what part number are the oem two side trims of the grill
I’m a little bit confused on the question … if you take apart a grill, it’s technically two pieces. Same as you buy a new one…
I meant the eyebrow. If you can help me with the part number for the eyebrows. One of my eyebrows got heat damage. I saw you transferred the eyebrow to the new grill
@@Joseb1998 unfortunately the eyebrow isn’t a piece that’s sold separately… you’ll have to buy the front bumper as a whole. I’ll recommend looking on the market place for some cheaper options or if you know someone that recently took theirs off for an aftermarket one if that’s the only piece you need.

The part numbers are correct for the grill and H emblem. The new grill has a smaller emblem that’s why.

@luis campos if you call your local dealer get the part number for both parts. Then go to cheaperhondaparts.com and type in those part numbers.
You should be able to get them for cheaper
