This video features the 27WON throttle body connector for the civic type R FK8. Not an urgent part replacement but something to consider over time as more power is made with the vehicle. Usually this comes with a charge pipe upgrade kit but with 27 WON it comes with their boost tubes for for the FMIC. store.27won.com/2017-civic-type-r-boost-tubes.html

Hi guys ik this vid is old and I’m guessing nobody’s gonna answer this but I’m having the same problem with my fk8 after trying to tune it. I’ve tried the same thing as him but mine doesn’t turn on I have a 2019 type r….thanks
Is your ECU jailbroken?
@@JayBCtR yes it is
@@JayBCtR and if I take it to Honda it’s gonna cost me over 900 just to get a tow truck
@@edmundobaro9813have you tried to reflash it back to stock using the stock map? Also maybe contact hondata to see. If the ECU is completely bricked you may not get any response trying to flash it back. If it’s not, it should go through but still not flash it if that makes sense
@@JayBCtR I have but it doesn’t work and the Honda here said they cannot try to do anything if it’s after market because I tuned it with hondata
Thank you brother. Gonna use this video next weekend
beautiful car bro, greetings from Brazil!!!
front pads dont need to lubricated?
asian vehicles... heh
Hey JayB have you had any issues with the P700 since insulation? K
So far so good none! I’m working on an update video!
I just put this exhaust on my fk7.
Thanks man, did the car feel better after changing it?
Honestly at this point I can’t really tell lol just from having so many mods. But you could log your throttle responsiveness before and after to see if it made a change. If it does, probably not by much
Where did You Buy it?
I found the imposter on UA-cam! XD
I wonder who that is 😂
What’s your wheel and tire specs?
They don't make it anymore because I can't find it. Is it only when you buy other things?
I believe it’s now a part of their boost tubes when you order the set. You could probably email or call and they can hook you up.
How much power u makeing?? U should make a update video!!!!!
I plan on it. The weather has not been very nice to us here in the mid west 🥴. Stay tuned!
@@JayBCtR Hey JayB have you had good luck with the P700 since you've installed it? K
What did you use to twist around the clamp on the lower coolant line? That’s the part I’m stuck at 🥺
You’ll have to play around with it. I had a long curved needle nose plier. But also If that’s the last thing, you can move the turbo away to get some clearance for the pliers. Some lube on the clamp would also help you rotate it to where you can clasp it off
@@JayBCtR got it bro. I used 11 inch pliers that 90 degree at the end. And yes penetrating oil helped a lot as well. Thanks
I just put this into my car and now my hondata app on the head unit and my mobile app doesn’t work anymore…it dnt connect to Bluetooth
that civic is sickk
Thank you!
I just did my bois intake I gotta do my inlet pipe for the TypeR check it out on my channel
Hopefully the P600/P700 fits the FL5 🤞🏼
Hopefully! Guessing you have an FL5 😮
I agree. My fk7 was too much drone. So I put my 2 muffs back on and just deleted my resonator.
p600 is a fun turbo - need to fuel it on ethanol but makes good power maxxed out Made 547/434 with mine
Thanks for the video dude
Happy to help!
P600 or 700? my p600 was fun but the hotside doesnt like to flow above 7k rpm ....great below 6800 tho...made all the right noises...547whp/436wtq
Got the 600 I had mine tuned to 7500RPM. Power does drop exactly after 7500 though like 7520 while I was on the dyno. Keep an eye out for the Dyno content coming soon 😉
Did you have to loose out the front frame to fit the Turbo or drop right in??
P700 just came out
Big ups mait
It's Teedan
How are you doing bro? Send me your digits, so we could chat on WhatsApp
Hella nice
the new grille comes with the two side pieces ? or what part number are the oem two side trims of the grill
I’m a little bit confused on the question … if you take apart a grill, it’s technically two pieces. Same as you buy a new one…
I meant the eyebrow. If you can help me with the part number for the eyebrows. One of my eyebrows got heat damage. I saw you transferred the eyebrow to the new grill
@@Joseb1998 unfortunately the eyebrow isn’t a piece that’s sold separately… you’ll have to buy the front bumper as a whole. I’ll recommend looking on the market place for some cheaper options or if you know someone that recently took theirs off for an aftermarket one if that’s the only piece you need.
wow the front bumper is really that easy? 4 screws and a ton of clips?
Yep… it’s literally a bunch of bracket style clips that’s why they are so delicate. Break the wrong clip/bracket and you might need a new bumper lol
@@JayBCtR guess I gotta try it. my badge got chipped by a rock and it bothers me so much. Have a replacement badge just wasn't sure how to get the bumper off but this shows me!
@@Bigbacon you don’t have to remove the bumper to replace the badge unless you are complete “OCD” the badge is held in by double sided tape and two retainer pins. Most of the time even when you remove the bumper those retainer pins don’t survive. So really the double sided tape is all you need. Just make sure it’s done in a warm environment, clean the surface area and heat up the tape side of the new badge to activate the adhesive. Be extremely careful when heating up the badge already on the grill. The mesh part of the grill gets melted easily
BEFORE INSTALLING A STEERING WHEEL FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW BE SAFE AND UNLUG UR BATTERIE THAN WAIT FOR 30 MINS
Did u find a good deal on the pads ? Where did u buy them ?
Thanks
i cant find this part alone on the website , all i see is the 3 piece boost tubes only .
Just tried to do mine. But gave up on the front. Couldn't get the strut out of the knuckle. You definitely need to do that front lower control arm bolt so it gets enough play to work out the strut. I'm gonna make another attempt tomorrow lol Good work on yours by the way . I just lost patience after trying to get that strut to fall after 30 minutes of playing with it.
It’s definitely not the easiest to get out unless your car is newer lol. You’ll literally have to hammer it out lol.
Oh dang, i totally missed you installed this. o_0
It was an interesting experience to say the least. Corie came to help lol, it was the same week I broke my wrist
How do you like ? Why didn’t you get the sport line ?
It’s been great so far no issues. And the sport line would require a lot smaller tires to make sure it doesn’t rub. Trying to find the optimal tire setup is just another headache I wasn’t trying to deal with lol
@@JayBCtR nice ! Appreciate the reply
I just got the sport line for my 20 si
Quick question, what brake pads did you go with? 2020-2021 oem brake pads? Or 2017-2019. Thanks.
I believe they are all the same for the rear pads. Nothing changed in the years.
@@JayBCtR thank you!
How's the plm front pipe holding up? How many miles you put on it so far? I just ordered mine for $175/free shipping. Hopefully it holds up for a long time.
Still have it even though I said I was gonna change it at some point lol. No issues so far
@@JayBCtR that's awesome. Now I'll have some peace of mind when I install mines. I appreciate the reply.
Do you need a tune after swapping out the intercooler?
You don’t, you shouldn’t have any codes either if everything is done correctly. You could tune later just like other FBOs
Thanks for this video, people usually delete the second resonator as well. I watched this because I was curious what it would sound like with no resonator delete. So now I'm definitely going with the resonator delete as well.
Anytime man, glad I could help. I would say three only so long you can go with no resonator before the drone starts to annoy you tho lol
@@JayBCtR You know, I've never had an issue with drone, I'm just not that sensitive to it, I like to hear my car. Thanks again
Everyone crying here 😂 thanks for the video bro. I was really wondering how it would sound like. And no one else did it on youtube so thanks for the effort😎👍💯
Happy to help!
Hey your brakes are fine still right if you retract the rear brakes via the tool you don't have to rotate the piston back in you can just push it back in without damaging I have a 2020 type r and I really don't wanna damage my epb thank you for the video as well!
The tool retracts the actuators and not the pistons. New pads usually require you to push the pistons back to make room for the new ones. Sometimes you may or may not be able to use your hand to push the pistons back.
Post notification always on. Great stuff man
Appreciate the support fam 🙏🏾
Do you hear Any drone at all with this setup? Like inside cabin drone or vibration?
You’ll hear some vibration in the cabin with cold start, but that’s also from the RMM… Other than that no drone or vibration. It’s a perfect match between deep & raspy
@@JayBCtR that’s very nice. I really love the sound so much of it that’s why I was hoping it had no drone. Thanks so much for the info!
@@leftright2 happy to help! You won’t regret it!
Thank you for this video. I just subscribed to your channel
Glad you found it helpful!
do you think this sounds louder than the j’s racing 70rs exhaust? with catless dp
Js is notorious for being loud, I doubt PLM is remotely close to that…
@@JayBCtR so basically… which is louder for you as an exhaust system? j’s racing or borla atak?
@@allenquimin5287 I have never used Js racing but heard it a lot of times. All things equal, Js racing is louder than Borla.
You off to buy this to replace rear brake pad
You don’t have to but it makes your life very easier…you can do it the harder way by manually disabling the actuators
Love the black tips, much needed
Where can I get brembo brakes for the fk8
Call up the dealerships around you or you can get the part number from them then search on cheaperHondaparts.com
I just use my flat head pry bar and push the pads in that way with the rotor and old pad
I'm R-09179 lol
Thanks for the video men, One question does it work for Honda Crv 2017 EX? and 2016 Civic?
Yes I believe the Alcatel is for 2016+ models. Compatible with the the trim levels you mentioned
@@JayBCtR Hey thanks man for the video really helpful, just did my brakes today and it scan make it really easy and quick.
@@captaincrunch4581 glad it helped!
