    Hey everyone! 🌟
    This summer, I’ve been all about flying tinywhoops, and I can’t get enough! In this video, I dive into why tinywhoops, like the Betafpv Air65 and Air75, have become my go-to drones for flying in parks and other tight spaces. From doing tricks and acrobatics to crashing without worries, these little drones are a game-changer!
    I also compare them to larger 5” drones and other small models I’ve tested, like the YMZFPV Lightning2 and Darwin FPV Tinyape. Plus, I’ll share my personal FPV journey and why I think tinywhoops are perfect for anyone looking to push their flying skills to the next level.

      Has it though? Every company has at least one cinewhoop, and not many have tinywhoops. I think it will
      Be nicer if every company had a tinywhoop as well.

    I bought my first tiny whoop (Air 65) a couple of weeks ago. i forgot about my 3,5" and 2" quads.... even got in touch with analog.... the factor of not dissturbing people and dont have to drive kilometers to fly quads is so great.... i fly it every day indoor or in the backyard and i order a second one. its so much fun

    I use to be a hater on tinywhoops, until I bought one and tried it and now I fly them more than my 5 to 10 inch drones. My kids love being chased by my tinywhoop drones and it just makes flying around that much more fun.

    1st drone about 4 moth ago emax freestyle 2 toothpick. I had it about a month or so and you right to go to big places to fly is a big story all the time. So I got the rtf combo from sub250 the whoopfly16 and i loved it still flys like a champ is so robust but it is heavy to. There is no free lunch. Now i just got the mobula6 2024 since yesterday and now i just fly whoops becouse they are more fun and people in the park see it and laugh. They are not afraid its a completely different story than a toothpick. I did not try a 5 inch but tbh i will stay with my whoops just ordered the new betafpv air 75.

    I started with the Betafpv Meteor 75 and had a lot of fun with it. But when I built my own 5 inch (Yes, it was a Nord5 frame!!!) everything changed and I could feel the power of a real fpv racer! Every time I try smaller drones (I have two 3.5"), I miss my 5 inch! I still fly a Nord5 frame whenever I want to freestyle and recently I bought a 7 inch (GEPRC Moz7) for cinematic and long distance flights (I really love the sound of the 7 inch!) But I am lucky to live in a place where I have a lot of space and I don't bother anyone.

    I've got a flywoo Explorer and the air75,i find now im hardly ever flying the Explorer just because of the size and noise,its just easier to fly indoors or outside with the air75,you can push it harder without so much worry of smashing it up,no worry about people moaning about the noise,you can find more locations to fly it aswell,plus the batteries are cheaper and dont take as long to charge up 😎👍

    100% agree! I bought a pair of HDZero goggles about a month or so ago, and also purchased an Air65 which I have been flying around the house a lot and I love it, it just flies so well. Today I placed an order for an Air75 and I can't wait to rip that one around outdoors. I love my 5" quads but whoops are just so much fun themselves, I have really been missing out until now.

    • @fullhamfpv
      @fullhamfpv 29 днів тому

      I use the Radiomaster TX16S MKII MAX, but it's probably a little overkill if you only plan on flying Tinywhoops, and a smaller form factor radio would do. I have big hands though so I like my TX16S and I use it for all my bigger quads as well.

    • @tonymontana-ot3ek
      @tonymontana-ot3ek 29 днів тому

      @ so if I got a air 65 and a pair of had zero goggles the TX16s will all connect together and work ??? I’m new to this I’m lookin for something beside a Cetus x … something that don’t look like a toy ya no lol

    • @fullhamfpv
      @fullhamfpv 29 днів тому

      @tonymontana-ot3ek The easiest thing would be to get a radio that has ELRS (Express LRS) built into the radio. I would recommend a RadioMaster Zorro with a built in ExpressLRS if you like a gamepad feel to your radio, a RadioMaster GX12 or Boxer if you like something a little bigger (also the ExpressLRS versions), or the TX16S if you prefer a bigger radio. If I were starting from scratch, I would probably buy the GX12 or the Boxer, based on their form factor and price.

    I started with a 2.5" toothpick, 2s 1103 8000kv. I have tinywhoop s, and I have 5" quads, but I always pick a toothpick (2.5" or 3") for fun flying. I haven't tried a modern 17g tinywhoop yet, so I might like it.

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  5 місяців тому +2

      I used to pick my toothpick rather than the tinywhoop because they were more capable a of tricks. But this new generation of tinywhoops with high kv motors has change that. The whoop plastic prop guard makes them a bit more crash resistant and therefore I’m flying my tinywhoops more than the toothpick these days. Just to save some prop money 🤣

    I am new to the whole RC-stuff and was flying in the simulator only, because I don‘t know which setup I want. Now, after watching this video, I am sure that my first drone will be one of this tinywhoops. Sure, the small form factor and the smb soldering isn‘t the best choice for beginners but for tinkering around on the drone itself I will upgrade to a 5“.
    As controller the TBS Tango 2 looks good. I just need goggles and yes, the drone itself. Wondering how to find out which goggles fits to which drone and how to implement Crossfire.
    May you have some suggestions on a set which is compatible?
    I really like the Tango 2 controller. For goggles / drone I am very open. It should be digital though… if possible.
    Nice videos btw! Keep up the good work!
    Cheers

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  9 днів тому

      If you are just starting I’ll recommend to go for ELRS instead of crossfire. Crossfire is an excellent radio protocol but drones like the air65 are only made in ELRS because it’s open source and more economical. If you like the shape of the tango 2 look for the jumper bumblebee, I found it to be the same feeling, it’s a new ELRS and much cheaper.
      For googles look at skyzone goggles. They have the whole range for your pocket. Chose the one fits you better. Cobra X is excellent entry level. O4 o Pro for the high end.

    I shoot a ton with a Pavo20. I have it decked out with remote id and gps and I fly it for events all the time. I get so many kids chasing it that now I bring an adapter cable for my phone and I can take kids for rides. They freak out everytime. No one is scared of the tiny pavo. Bump up to even a 2.5 and it is louder heavier and it makes people more nervous. The 2" is totally not scary. I am now interested in going really tiny. The new Air65 looks really appealing and it is super super cheap. I wish there was a digital option. I need to figure out goggles I guess. It will be awesome for practice in tight spaces and proximity flying with zero consequences. But seems useless for any sort of real video use.

      Hi, You can fly both inside and outside, but of course the 75 will be better against a bit of wind, and the 65 will be better in smaller areas. The easiest way is to think if you are going to be more time inside take the 65, or if you are going to spend more time outside take the 75.
      That said, I love flying the 65 outside. I think it has a bit more punch than the 75 somehow, but wind is a problem.

      Tiny whoops have one characteristic that @NordFPV didn't mention, due to much lower mass and lower speed they have much less energy, this means that crashes are much less likely to damage drone. It is important to novice like me, as I often make mistakes.

      @@tonymontana-ot3ek Very difficult question. There are many, and it depends on many factors. But I can point you in some direction. On the radio, you need a ELRS radio, I like the Bumblebee from Jumper for a compact size, or the T15 from Jumper for the bigger size.
      On goggles, there are a million. Look for analog goggles from skyzone that fits your budget.
